Hotels near Libreria Feltrinelli International in Rome

I'm sure that each of us has his own scale of factors to evaluate whether a place is beautiful or ugly but that the added value is the people. In this clean, nice and very comfortable hotel, near the Roma Termini station, it is precisely the people who make a small hotel a point of reference for our trips to Rome. Paola from the reception was, and is, the person who followed us during the booking process and who went out of her way to help us project our photographs on a wall, in a small room set up just for us, a small group of photographers arrived in town for a two day photography course. Pro: we have chosen this hotel to be close to Termini Station and to almost all touristic objectives in the 4 days /3 nights we stayed in Rome. The price for 3 days was decent given the fact that we stayed during Catholic Easter. The reception was open 24/07 and the receptionist was kind and polite. Cons: The first thing that we have observed was the small room we had (2nd floor), with a green carpet but extremely dirty. It was now cleaned weeks ago it seems. I have photographed everything because the cleaning was not ok here. At all. The marble floor was dirty in the bathroom as well when we arrived but also during our stay. Nobody cleaned the floor. The cleaning lady arranged our bed and we had clean sheets and towels. The hotel has no restaurant, even though they have the room for it and it was nicely arranged. No food was served at all. Only a machine for coffee, teas and salty things.

The hotel was great- it's located 10 mins from termini central station (so easy to get there from the airport and no need to walk alot with your luggage), and from piazza della repubblica (so close to another metro station). The location was great because it's walking distance to everthing you want to see (I only took the metro to the vatican- you could also walk there, which I did on the way back when I had more time). There are also good restaurants, gelaterias and shops in the area (as it's located next to via nazionale and the opera house) and they are usually less expensive and crowded than those near famous sites (so I ate there almost every evening). I had a single room which was clean and had everything I needed (comfy bed, safe, hot water, wifi, etc.). The staff was really nice and helpful (they are there 24/7, and you can leave your luggage with them if you need), and the breakfast was good. I would definitely stay there again next time I visit! Location is good and easy to go around. Very near train station which makes this hotel superb. Air-conditioning needs to inform counter to make the room more comfortable, but they get it done. The room is comfy, but not the cleanest. Breakfast is good, there is enough spread to make yourself very full and well hydrated. If I ever come back to Rome, I would stay there again. For the price, cannot complaint

Great location. Any major attraction can be reached within 20 minutes. Spacious room with a very comfortable mattress. Very helpful staff both at the reception and during room service. We initially had a corner room, but found it a little noisy for us. At the reception they changed it without any problems for another one. There are several good restaurants nearby. Reception's recommendations were also excellent. The hotel does not have its own parking lot, but in the same building on the base floor there is a garage (not the hotel), which can be accessed without entering the ZTL zone. Price 35 euros per day. But opposite the garage there is a paid city parking lot, where you can also leave your car. To get into the hotel from a garage or parking lot, you need to call from downstairs so that a receptionist will come and open the door to the elevator hall. We liked the breakfast. There was a bit of a lack of variety in egg dishes, but there was plenty of other stuff. I think the main disadvantage is the paid gym and spa. And if the spa is somehow explainable, then the gym is usually free for hotel guests. The price for visiting guests is 9 euros. Restaurant is fine. You get the voucher with 20% discount when check-in so the price becomes reasonable. Overall we enjoyed our time at the hotel and will return here again. I think the main disadvantage is the paid gym and spa. And if the spa is somehow explainable, then the gym is usually free for hotel guests. The price for visiting guests is 9 euros. I chose this hotel based on many positive reviews from many platforms. And I experienced all of the positive reviews. And for the first time I would recommend hotel to my friends and families/relatives. The two rooms were the best : the view, size and amenities. To my surprise, the minibar provided as complimentary. Breakfast : the best breakfast I ever had after more than 30 years traveling for both leisures/family and business trips in Indonesia, Asia and Europe. On top of the buffet menus, we were offered breakfast that personalised for our needs/tastes. Now, two weeks after we left the hotel, my wife and daughter keep telling me about to comeback again to Rome just because this hotel …. All the staffs were helpful and almost excellent. Keep the good work guys, as this hotel’s experiences were the oasis in many disappointments about Rome. One small note : It was a little bit difficult for me to find this hotel, and taking up two large luggage up to the hotel lobby was a little struggle

Very clean place. I heard so many bad reviews about bedbug so changed to this hotel bc it’s new. Very clean overall and close to Termini. However the neighborhood is pretty ghetto so if you are traveling alone, it’s best to go early as possible

The room is spacious enough for me and my friend to open our luggage at the same time and still lots of room to walk around with the case opened. The bed and linens are comfortable. Desk to long and wide, with two chairs allow us to use and put on daily skin care together. Only if they could setup slippers in room and add in tooth brush and tooth paste in the bathroom then it will be perfect. Location wise there are quite a lot of restaurants around and it is very close to the central terminal, just a 5-10 minutes walk. You can also take bus or train around to travel around attractions in Rome very easily. There are 2-3 receptionists in the check in counter, they are very knowledgeable to Rome and hotel product knowledge, hope they could keep smile on faces and more friendly. Also I request a non need service to our room to the housekeeping attendant on the second day, but we came back to the room and found it was cleaned. Attached the photo is the door stopper which I found good for the attendant they don’t need to bend their back and also to protect the door from getting starches at the same time.

Typical small hotel, small rooms (though fine for one person), very small shower (I’m not a big person and it’s cramped for me). No coffee or tea except during limited breakfast hours (a kettle can be provided but you still need your own tea or coffee). Also I guess it’s an old building so it is noisy (both from outside traffic and inside, where housekeeping vacuuming or moving things around can be early very clearly). However the bed was comfortable for me and curtains block out light well. Location is good as it’s not far from main train station and very close to a subway stop

These rooms are part of The Independent Hotel in a separate building down the block. You check in with the main hotel and they give you a physical key to open the external door to the other building. Check in is smooth and the hotel's porter came with us and showed us how to access the building. We booked the Family room and it was bigger than most rooms. I wish it had 2 bathrooms though. The mini bar in the room is complimentary but if you want refills, it's an extra charge. There's a few mini marts down the block if you need water, soda and snacks. The location is really close to Termini station but far from all the sites. I would suggest the Hop On/Hop Off buses from Termini to help get around or taxis are pretty frequent in the area. The only thing I don't understand is why we have to drop off the physical key everytime we leave. I asked but they didn't elaborate. It was a hassle to stop by the desk to drop it off and retrieve it.
