"I booked this hotel for a night tour, and its location is simply unbeatable. The best perk was the complimentary botanical garden tickets, plus the hotel tram offers shuttle services to both the South and North gates, making it truly excellent value for money. To be honest, due to the humid rainy season, the old building rooms had a noticeable damp, musty smell upon entry, which took some time to air out. The rattan furniture, however, added a lovely subtropical touch. Some amenities, like the air conditioning, could definitely use better maintenance or an upgrade. Also, small geckos occasionally found their way into the room – they're harmless, but if you're squeamish, it's something to be aware of. Overall, the location is superb. Waking up early to have the entire Victoria water lily pond to myself was a truly wonderful experience."

"My child and I took a private car from Jinghong city to Wild Elephant Valley on the 28th, then checked into Anantara. Anantara, in my mind, is the pinnacle of domestic resorts, synonymous with 'wild luxury,' beautiful surroundings, and excellent service. The latter two, Anantara certainly delivered on. The lobby is grand, and when we first entered the room, it didn't feel dated at all. Lush greenery filled the view from the window – a plant lover's dream! Outside the balcony was a large garden. On the first day, I spent the entire afternoon intently watching trees and birds, spotting red-whiskered bulbuls, oriental magpie-robins, sooty-headed bulbuls, blue-throated barbets, and sunbirds. I saw various fruit-bearing trees, including coconuts and legumes. Even the large bathtub in the bathroom had a view of extensive greenery. We attended the evening ritual and released water lanterns. The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and even showed us photos she took of a large gecko. The restaurant staff and kids' club team remembered us staying for several days. They gave us small gifts and fulfilled our request for pineapple fried rice. The complimentary travel photoshoot was excellent, capturing some truly memorable 'life photos.' Every staff member we encountered greeted us warmly. The two resident musicians from Malaysia, who performed in the lobby bar in the afternoon and by the restaurant entrance in the evening, were absolutely superb and a definite highlight of our trip. There were some drawbacks, however. The housekeeping staff throughout the resort was noticeably insufficient. We returned to our room at 1:30 PM, and it still hadn't been cleaned. This was the only time we didn't call for housekeeping, and thinking about it, it's probably a good thing we didn't, as the service speed likely wouldn't have kept up. Perhaps it was due to the off-season before the May Day holiday, but there seemed to be fewer staff in the hotel's public areas. The children's activities were almost identical every day and mostly concentrated in the mornings, which was a shame as we spent every morning at the botanical garden. Lastly, the price. It's an hour from Jinghong city, in an area where local guesthouses cost around 100 RMB per person. Yet, the hotel's calendar rate was as high as 2000 RMB. Locals definitely wouldn't go; it only attracts those who come for its reputation. The restaurant food was good, with generous portions, but the prices felt like they were converted from US dollars. We ate four meals at Anantara and spent 1000 RMB. Well, no more talk, I'm off to earn more money!"

"The hotel is really nice, great value for money, right by the Nanla River. We come every Saturday for the market, which is just a 5-minute walk away. The whole resort is very relaxing; the village has amazing plants, including a unique brown bamboo called ”Crooked-Legged Dragon Bamboo.” The market is very lively on the second day, the fruit is fresh, and the grilled fish and other dishes are fantastic. There are many elderly Dai people dressed beautifully."

"The overall environment is well-preserved. The wooden cabins are simply furnished, and there are many wild flying insects. The service is excellent. It's about 4km from the Lao-Ta border. The border crossing is very basic, and there aren't many tourists. The owner said that many government and business visitors come here. There's a new rural construction demonstration site nearby, giving it a remote and impoverished feel, with not much to do. You need to make a reservation by phone before arrival, otherwise you won't even be able to find the door!"

"This hotel was amazing. It’s only a year old but the amenities look like it’s brand new and inside of the room seems no different from a five-star. The only thing missing was a bathroom scale. Nice courtyard pool below just big enough to do some short laps and a kilometer from the night market. Interesting little area and they have street side eatery outside with a good view. The best part though is the manager Mr. Wu was exceptionally helpful. When he saw me arriving by bicycle, he did everything he could to make my stay more pleasant and even offered to go the extra mile with extra service and help. An unbelievable bargain, and a nice end to my journey. "

"The hotel environment and breakfast were average, but the hotel was clean. The service was good. There was a laundry room, which was convenient. Parking was available. Complimentary welcome fruit was provided. The front desk staff were very responsive. Thumbs up! The swimming pool was being cleaned and not filled with water, so I won't comment on that. The rooms were spacious. Again, I want to reiterate that the cleanliness was good and the facilities were new. For a small town, this is considered relatively good accommodation. I would recommend staying here."

"This hotel is the most satisfying hotel for our trip to Xishuangbanna this time. My child and I settled in after traveling through Yulin, Mengyuan Wonderland. When I checked in, I learned that the hotel has a wedding banquet restaurant that may not accept individual guests at night. After the hotel reception knew that we hadn’t had lunch, I specifically contacted the restaurant to confirm whether it can accept individual guests. We just called the front desk at the room and said it would be 4:30 You can go downstairs to eat, and the restaurant also called the room to inform us to go downstairs to order food. I would like to thank you. This meal is also the most delicious meal of this trip. I found that this hotel can also be very careful to put a USB charging plug next to the bed for the convenience of guests."
