Staff very polite room very clean would come again amazing food bath in hotel bed comfy can have a laugh with staff amazing breakfast no faults really friendly if there was a problem I’m sure they will help you asap thank you very much much appreciated

This hotel deserves 10⭐️ for the customer service alone. The lengths they took to make wife and newborns stay whilst i was away was outstanding to say the least. I visited for work purposes and brought wife and newborn daughter along for the week long stay. They'd gifted us a beside-me cott for the baby without us asking(unbelievable catering if you ask me) they replenished our milk tubs, coffee saches, tea bags and towels for the following morning, which were left neatly on the oak table outside of our room (Shocked again). We hadn't even finished the last lot nor did we ask. An abundance of care is what we received during our stay. From cleanliness and safety, I have never been more appreciative of a hotels effort in my life. Forget the name brand hotels. Go there. I worked in sheffield (20min drive away) rather than spending a small fortune at the regular PREM or TRAV... hotels go there. That's a customer service review. Price wise? brilliant I stayed 6 days and added a day, for half the price of a full day of a family suite -495 i paid in total. Bathroom facilities brilliant, power shower brilliant Hot water (scalding hot) brilliant Breakfast options fry ups (veg/non veg) cereals, fresh juices, teas, coffees. Served to my table (no get your own plate and seat yourself) restaurant service. Brilliant. Bar for drinks brilliant. The rive around the area is surrounded by farms and country houses, live stock and very picturesque. Brilliant scenery. Shops nearby, CO-op, Gregg's, subway off licenses all minute drive or 5min walk away. And the restaurant goa across the road, oh my God the food there is perfect. I actually can't say enough. This is where you want to spend your money for a stay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all day long.

I checked out in half hour after arrival. Place smelt of cigarettes from entrance up to the room. Entrance and reception looked unkempt. The room did not look any comfortable. When I informed the receptionist about the smell of cigarettes she challenged me by staying "no one smokes here" my friend who has asthma was starting to have chest tightness so we checked out and looked for alternative accomodation.

We arrived as a family of 7 quite late at night following a wedding nearby. One of our rooms did not have an additional bed in the room as booked and required. This was easily rectified when the receptionist was notified as she swiftly arranged a bed to be erected and made up. In our other room the toilet had quite a significant leak when it was flushed. So bad the leak reached the bedroom carpet. Staff were obviously aware as a towel had already been placed on the u bend to stem the leak - this did nothing in my opinion. Given the lateness of the hour we had no intention of moving for a leaky toilet we just refrained from unnessary flushing and put some towels down. We did notify the receptionist/housekeeper when she was making the bed in the other room though and she was apologetic. We opted to have a drink in the empty bar before settling down for the night and was served by the same lady. Unfortunately the draft beer was not at all nice - not to sure why but my husband drank less than half before he'd had enough. Turns out it was a one women show - receptionist, housekeeping and bar tending were all done by the same lady within an hour. She was very attentive and apologetic for the issues experienced. This hotel could really use some TLC - the carpets are stained infact a stain on our room floor was sticky. It is very outdated and not particularly homely or inviting. There is too much furniture in the rooms or at least not set out very well. Also, no one should have to ask for extra pillows - of the 7 of us there were exactly 7 pillows. I checked every cupboard and none were hidden away - we had to ask the lady for 4 more pillows which I found very strange. None of the TVs worked either - the room TV had no channels programmed in and the bar TV only showed channel 4. Needless to say we wouldn't return.

Upon arrival tried to charge a pound for parking when they advertise for free. Cupboard doors hanging off. As i lay in the bath I could see the toilet was filthy under the rim. Noisy. Cold. Stinks of cigarette smoke in the hallway. Bed was like a bag of rocks. Definitely would not stay here again.

Due to the fact of having to flee the hotel at midnight as someone gave a man a key to my room. This is dangerous and as a single woman I was petrified. I fled the hotel and drove home at midnight after a man tried to enter my room twice with a key! The staff need training. No one has a clue what they are doing. It’s dark and dirty. The cupboard in my room was full of dirty bedding thrown on the floor and a stained ancient ironing board. The bathroom smelt of smoke, the bed and pillows were the un comfiest I have ever experienced. The white towels were grey and rough. On a positive the chef can cook! This hotel is listed 3 star. I’m My advice is this is worse than any hostel. The worst place I have ever encountered Do not stay here!!

One star is too high. Truly awful. Awful rude manager, disillusioned staff who are past caring, dirty, doesnt feel safe, sticky filthy carpets, Food was awful and when complained told it was freshly cooked yesterday! Honestly dont bother its cheap for a reason.

Awful experience. Planned a visit to Rotherham to see some friends for 23rd July. Booked and paid via phone and all was confirmed: £67. Cheap and cheerful. Arrived on 23rd of July to a very rude receptionist who advised I had turned up on the wrong day! They had booked me in for the wrong date. With no empathy I was offered a “free drink in the bar” whilst they looked into it. They had no spare rooms available and didn’t make any effort whatsoever to try and resolve this. Casually pretending to call other hotels to satisfy my stay. Nothing was resolved so was advised I would receive a FULL REFUND the following day. My bank details were provided. Fast forward two weeks later and I called to find out where my refund was. The response was “oh sorry your bank details must have been thrown away by the cleaner”. So not only are they incompetent but they’ve left my personal information out on some random desk somewhere. They took my bank details again and advised it would be done first thing in the morning. This was Thursday the 4th of August. Today, still no refund and now 18 days after my original promise of a refund. Attempted to call again and now I’m just having the phone hung up on me. Avoid!
