Saint-Contest Hotels with Airport pickup service

Very handy hotel to stay if you’re going to the memorial, 7 minute walk or a 1 minute drive to get there. Not too far from town either about a €13 cab ride. Hotel is clean and tidy, my only complaint would be the lack of dining area in the morning, it’s very tiny. The only facilities are a microwave and fridge in the room plus a vending machine selling basic stuff, that should be upgraded by the management to provide more of a selection for guests.

I booked the hotel online which was a simple operation, I was arriving after reception closed and entry was via an automated machine at the car park entrance. Despite having paid I had to pay again to get my room entry cards which needed calls on my return to U.K. to arrange a refund. I had booked three rooms initially but added another date at the start, these were dealt with as totally separate bookings. The first room was two single beds with a third bed above the singles, the bathroom was very small, the impression was not good. Breakfast was adequate. For the second set of three nights we had to book out of the first room repack all of our kit and move into the second room after 2pm. The second room was much better with a double bed a larger bathroom the whole thing was better. There is free wifi, lots of parking. The manager could have been more helpful with the refund issue.

I booked this as it was cheap and dog friendly. We were pleasantly surprised by our stay. Plenty of parking on arrival Check in was done on line prior to arrival so we had our room number and key code and went straight in even though reception was closed The room was small and clean The bathroom was spotless with towels and soap We found the bed to be extremely comfortable and the room was a pleasant temperature Our dog was made welcome and slept in our room, no bother. She seemed quite content with things Reception were very helpful. The coffee machine wouldn’t take my card and the receptionist organised coffee from the breakfast area for us. For the money we thought it was good We visited a nearby restaurant for food and the supermarket across the street, but aren’t sure if there is much else in the area

The location is very good. Going out is the shopping street. Restaurant and Galeries Lafayette and Paris Spring Department Store. Caen is a few minutes walk to the cathedral and the city wall.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable bed and the shower was very functional. We loved to pass the hedge. If we were to pass another time we will go back there is certain. The only little concern is that access to the room is made at 14:00, which is a little disturbing when you arrive very Toto in the morning. If you are looking for a place to stay there for a business stay or just a small weekend, then you need the accommodation around Caen.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Carline. We went with leger coach tours. The hotel has had a refurb .The rooms are clean and have everything you need. The shower is very powerful, the food was great ,they cleaned your room when put a sign on door .The breakfast was very nice in the mornings. The staff are very friendly and talk excellent english and very helpful. Had a lovely time. Thank you.

Hotel in a quiet area, very decent bedding, possibility of making a small coffee or small kitchen. We appreciated the small terrace for the rooms on the ground floor. A little far from the city center of Caen, especially when you have walked a lot during the day, we advise you to park at the marina where there are many parking spaces. Excellent restaurant in the Vaugueux district: avenue 21. In the evening, numerous bars on rue Ecuyere and place Saint Sauveur. Lively town center, numerous shops.

The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. It's a manifest flight. The first night the hotel hosted a school group, forced to ask the calm by calling the reception at 22H children cried and ran into the corridors. At 5,50 euros a breakfast, you will find only frugality, no choice and low range products. The staff is very sympathetic but the experience is unacceptable. At the end of your stay you are offered a note to be settled with half of the already settled invoice ... This hotel was exactly what we wanted! It was welcoming, friendly, efficient and clean. The rooms were plenty large and clean, and newly decorated. The breakfast was great - plenty of variety and choice, all great quality. We had dinner in the hotel for 3 nights. It was freshly cooked, tasty and reasonably priced. Stefan served us and made us very welcome. All staff were friendly and very competent. Its location was perfect for us. Easy from the port. The tram is very close for getting into Caen so you don’t need to drive. Close to the roads to visit the D-day beaches and other historic sites. We had no complaints and would return
