DO NOT stay here if you are a woman especially a young woman travelling alone or with one friend. It’s is not protected or safe. The area is dodgy and out of the way. A lot of the houses around are bordered up with shutters. Me and my friend stayed here this weekend gone. The first night was fine. However on the second night we had to call the police, as there was a man harassing us by knocking on our door and pretending to work for the hotel and asking us to open the door late at night around 23.30 for him to inspect the room. We refused to open the door but our window was slightly open and he started threatening us. We called the police and he ran. The police searched the hotel but couldn’t find him. However, in the morning on informing the staff. There was little interest in this situation and very little concern for us. We had just left our room and checked out before going downstairs to inform them of the events. In which they informed us there should be an emergency button in our room. At this point it was too late to check, but to our knowledge we did not see one and the police had entered our room and not noticed or pointed one out. The rooms are easily accessible to the public, so unsure if this was a man staying at the hotel or a local, but the staff did inform us it was definitely not one of their staff members as they do not have staff except one on call at night time. This could have been a one off event but as two young girls travelling it was extremely traumatic event and god knows what could have happened and the lack of interest or sincere apologies from the staff was disgusting. Please if you are a woman do not stay here. In terms of the room, it was extremely basic. There was a slight stain on the duvet cover and the bathroom smelt of mould as it had no working extractor fan

The hotel was well located and easy to find, but that is pretty much where to good points ended! Checking in was not the most simplest process, and despite the room being clean and having a couple of welcomed amenities, the beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable! We were woken in the early hours to the fire alarm going off, which is fine, nice to have working smoke detectors, however there was no guidance as to what was going on, when it was safe to reenter the hotel etc, so we just followed the crowd. That sealed what was already a poor nights sleep! Average at best we would say.

Even though one doesn't expect luxury at these sorts of prices our twin room was pretty dire. The worst thing was the lack of air as the window didn't open and even if it did it probably would have been a security risk as it opened onto the walkway and anyone could have climbed in. Fortunately we only had to stay one night as more than that would have been horrendous. The only place to eat within walking distance was MacDonalds which just seemed to add insult to injury although I expect people with a car would have had a better choice.

An single night stay before catching the early ferry. It’s location is good for getting to the ferry (by car), and the parking is free. The hotel room doors face outside (the parking area), and traffic noise is common. The double rooms are smallish, and not made for a longer stay (1 desk chair), but the double bed is comfortable. Check in is not a seamless process if you book thru popular booking sites. Between 11:00 and 5:00 there is no front desk staff, and you check in using the kiosk outside. Unfortunately, the booking site reference number is not the hotel booking number to use at the kiosk. They have a help button, but the delay is annoying enough to sour the experience.

Very poor accommodation and needs a serious refurbishment The rooms are very small and airless, no Aircon and an uncomfortable bed. The room smelled damp and there was mildew on the walls. I had to have showers during the night to cool down The only redeeming feature was the breakfast which was good and the staff were pleasant I couldn’t recommend this hotel

For the price, this hotel is fine. A little far from St Malo intra muros. The room is clean but somewhat impersonal. Simple but hearty breakfast. Access to the rooms is via an exterior corridor. The staff is very friendly

reservation supposedly from 2 p.m. I got the access codes at 12 p.m. from a gentleman at reception who was very kind and even offered to come to the room from 1 p.m. said she wouldn't be ready right away, I insisted on having her and they came to clean up at my request. the cleaning lasted 10 minutes but they were nice .. and the access codes if the gentleman had not given them to me, I received them by text only at 3 p.m. for a 2 p.m. reservation
