The hotel does have a grand-presence on Lungomare. Being an older and spacious property does have it's advantages - like having a wide balcony with chairs to gaze out at the exotic Amalfi coast (photo attached). Though Easter time, we were lucky to have a room with a balcony. Conveniently located in a 10-minute walk the the Salerno station, bus-stop or concordia Pier to reach Amalfi. Room was spacious with large cupboards and a small place to cook-meals. A kettle would have been comfortable in the room. Being Asian, I love my warm water and a morning coffee. Breakfast was tasty with some of the local sweet delicacies like Sfogliatella and Conchiglia. I noticed it was spread in way which reduced food-wastage on the table. However, I missed warm sausages or omlette. Would have also liked vegetable salads and cut fruits. A variety of whole fresh fruits were accessible, but sometimes we get lazy to peel and eat an entire fruit :) Staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is ok, some weird rules around the pool where you are obligated to wear a cap in order to access it. The safe guard is very persistent on keeping this rule. The restaurant was surprisingly better than expected. It takes about 1.5h to reach amalfi by the car from hotel. Hotel has a parking lot which is def a perk. The rooms were ok and clean.

The hotel is new or renovated. Dark furnishing Japanese style ... excellent and wide selection of fresh bakery and breakfast cakes, juices, yoghurt, fresh coffee from the bar and the dispenser machine, a little choice of salads. We also had a dinner one night and it was good both the sea ragout packers and the sword fish, very soft. Negative report by several rooms: temperature fixed at 23.5° then rises to.24° on December 8, unhealthy at maximum ... impossible to lower it. We opened a spiral but couldn't be all night open.Even other rooms were like that. We reported the morning after and the evening when we returned 23.5°. We had to talk to the reception and we were told that that was the room temperature and to get it down we had to open the window! We did it but the thermometer (it is not a thermometer!) did not fall. We were told to remove the engine control tab to reset everything, but nothing happened ... everything remained on. Another night was soffocating. I read other old reviews complaining about the same problem ... obviously in several rooms the plant works badly. Maybe instead of pretending nothing would be better to repair it. The next breakfast is still good.

We stayed here for 10 nights at the end of October/November time. There had been lots of changes with air travel but the hotel accommodated everything for us. We had a suite for the full 10 nights which we can recommend, very comfortable and enough space to move around in when staying for a while. The balcony overlooked the valleys and hills in the distance, and the hotel gardens which are spacious and well kept. Rooms were serviced when requested, and the minibar/fridge was a welcome addition to our comfort. We had a hire car which we were able to park securely at the bottom of the hill from the hotel, less than 5 minutes walk away. There is a little shop you can pop into on the way to/from the car park which is run by a charming man who will provide sandwiches, lunch items, etc if you want them, as well as other everyday items. Breakfast at the hotel is included, and of a high standard. The restaurant serves high quality food from a small but acceptable menu, and as we were staying for a while we found them very accommodating for making things for us that weren’t on the menu, or changing menu items to our taste (eg no nuts, etc). The food appeared fresh and was cooked and served with care and with friendly and professional service. The chef regularly sent us free appetisers of a high quality too. We were even treated to some wine lessons and recommendations by our knowledgeable host, which was really nice and welcomed by us. The bar was well stocked, and snacks were served with our aperitif every time, sometimes hot from the kitchen and other times nibbles from the local area. We went to a local restaurant (La Foce) a few times too for a bit of variety, and had no problems there or with the hotel doing this. The other restaurant is about 15/20 mins walk away up hill, but downhill coming back! It seems hotel guests often go there, and they looked after us very well too. The reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and gave us some welcome suggestions for things to do, including providing info on the best way to travel the fairly nearby Amalfi Coast by ferry. We had a really nice stay and were able to really relax after the trials and tribulations of the previous year and a half due to covid. We felt safe at this hotel too, and they were well aware of safety measures to reduce any risks for guests and staff. We can wholeheartedly recommend this venue for a relaxing stay with access to the local area. We found it useful to have a car, although there is a regular local bus service too for guests who want to use public transport. This makes the hotel more accessible to all guests even though it is high up on a hill, the views are breathtaking though and make up for needing to travel to get to other areas. It was a wonderful base for us and we will definitely try to go back again. All credit to a wonderful location and to the amazing staff who were always willing to go that extra mile to care for us. Me, my husband and daughter stayed only 1 night so we could catch the ferry to Amalfi. We arrived at midnight and got in easily and staff was friendly and polite. Room was clean, air conditioning worked great. Beds were a bit hard but we were exhausted and slept well. When arriving, the street was still active and loud so I was pleasantly surprised that once in the room I could hear no outside noise. It was walkable to the ferry and a cool mainstreet. If we had more time, nice shopping and walk to the water. Breakfast was efficient and typical Italin fare.

Our stay in this Bnb was just fantastic. Besides the perfect cleaning, we appreciated every comfort offered, from the carefully furnished furniture to the small details that made our stay even more pleasant. The staff was very friendly and available, making our experience unforgettable. We strongly advise this Bnb to all those who seek an unforgettable stay!

Hotel Olimpico is a lovely hotel and spotlessly clean inside and out AND the rooms are cleaned every day ; good breakfast selection ; pool bar and has a great pool area where you can also order food. The reception ladies are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The bar staff Davide, Sergio, Michel & Daniel ( sorry if I missed anyone) were brilliant ! Very welcoming and again nothing was too much trouble for them, whether you have 1 or several drinks they are all great barman and an asset to the hotel ! The location was a bit out of the way for us but there was a free shuttle which was a god send as it was 50 euros each way in a taxi to the port in Salerno. The area itself is run down with bars and restaurants along the front either closed, boarded up or derelict so we were quite relieved when the taxi drew up in front of the hotel but a bit disappointed not to be able to have a walk along to a bar or restaurant outside of the hotel. Our room was spacious and clean but a bit drab and colourless. Sadly we were directly above the kitchen area so we were woken daily very early by the noise of the metal ramp being used to ferry food to the restaurant for breakfast (I presume) and the air conditioning didn't work although I did report this. We stayed here for 8 days for my husbands 50th birthday with friends and for the most part our experience was a good one. First night we ate in the restaurant just the 2 of us and felt the manager was a bit off and sharp but didn't take too much notice. Our friends arrived the next day and a few days later after a long day out we decided to eat in the restaurant and assured them the food was good based on our first meal. However, 11 of my mussels did not open which was over half my starter and our friend['s starters of grilled cheese and vegetables were cold. My main meal came out and the chicken was pink & raw but after sending it back and it still wasn't cooked I decided to leave it. Our friend ordered steak medium but it was raw when it came out. Not wanting to send food back again he ate the edges and left the rest. The blonde waitress couldn't raise a smile, literally threw our food at us and had no table manners at all and the manager and his sidekick with the glasses did not at any time come to our table to enquire if there was a problem nor offer a solution - they just raised their eyebrows, muttered under their breath nodding towards our table and completely ignored us ! Only the nice young waiter (didn't get his name) who took my food back was so apologetic but apart from that they weren't interested in our table at all and made it quite clear they did not care. When we paid he begrudgingly knocked off my meal and 1 steak meal but this wasn't the issue. The issue was their attitude towards us was disgraceful ! As paying customers you expect to be treated with courtesy and if you are unable to do this then you should not be in hospitality so for the rest of our stay we did not eat
