The scenery is very beautiful, a good place to take pictures, but it is very hot. This time, we lived in a two-bedroom villa. The sanitation conditions are worrying and need to be improved. It is very old and has not been updated. The service attitude of the waiters is good, and the food is very good Little, and not tasty, all in all, it is a place suitable for taking pictures, other hardware is not good, and the window is pasted with anti-light, it looks very simple, the room needs to be updated, it is already very dilapidated

I live in a single-family villa. The room is very spacious and the living room is also very large! Suitable for family travel.

High end hotel in La Union. During check-in, welcome drinks is served. Room given has pool view. A welcome pastry was also handover upon arrival inside the room. The room is so spacious with sofa bed. Pool is huge. There is artificial tulips that lights up during the night. Breakfast spread is limited. Menu @ Olive Restaurant is very limited and pricey. Thou, quality wise its superb except on our 1st order on chicken where it's almost burnt. Outside food is not allowed, however, no restaurant is open on Monday 10PM, as such we need to go out from the property. Internet is converged even outside the room, however, globe signal in our room is negative.

The service and facilities fell far short of justifying the high price. This resort is in urgent need of renovation; everything was poorly maintained. The pool was dirty, and there was no lifeguard on duty. The swimable beach areas were also very small and rocky. Furthermore, there was an incident where our door was left unlocked. Instead of offering an apology, the Guest Relations officer, Kath Adona, insisted on an investigation, which only seemed to invalidate our experience. Having visited several places around the Philippines, I must say this resort is subpar compared to those in Visayas and Mindanao. Avoid this resort at all costs!

Pros: Enjoyed a weekend retreat at the resort. Smooth check-in process. Adequate room accommodation, despite encountering issues with the assigned room. Cons: Room had maintenance issues (faulty door and shower). Service quality was lacking, indicating a need for better management alignment. Beach lacked lifeguard presence, compromising safety. Guest service staff, particularly Cath, exhibited rude behavior and lacked apologies for inconveniences. Facility maintenance was subpar, with cracked elevator floors and buildings in need of painting. Pool area showed signs of neglect, including missing tiles and cracks, highlighting the necessity for maintenance to ensure safety and aesthetics.

The room is indeed spacious, but the resort is overpriced considering its amenities and overall appearance. Paying over $200 for a dirty pool, unclean toilets, broken elevator, and poorly maintained facilities is disappointing. The staff, apart from the nurse on duty, were not accommodating. It's puzzling how some guests rated this resort 3 to 5 stars when it clearly deserves a 2-star rating at best. This experience feels like a total rip-off.

The main attraction is the Beach and pool which have been neglected over the years missing tiles unused bars etc also the general public can come in and use the facilities for a small charge The Beach is covered in stones and rubble the showers don’t work so you can’t rinse the sand from you on the beach considering the price we paid there is a lot better places to stay for less money,on arrival we reported the bath in our room wasn’t working there was no follow up luckily there was a shower in need of tiling and no hot water,I we accidentally knocked a glass of our bedside table which we were charged for I am sure this wouldn’t have happened at the bar.The food was average and overpriced

The hotel rates are really high but the amenities do not live up to the expectation of a supposedly luxury or high end hotel. The TV is not wifi capable and the gym is so small and unkempt, you cannot even work out if they have other guests also using the gym because the size of it is just like that of a regular room. They do not provide free drinking water service to their guests and charge additional fees for the water. That is extremely disappointing since I am a seasoned traveler and had stayed in both high priced hotels and low priced hotels and they always provide the hospitality to give their guests drinking water during their stay. Also, they do not allow their guests to bring up pool towels to their rooms. You have to surrender the pool towel immediately after getting out of the pool, the result is that you are dripping wet and cold when you get to your room. This is the first time I came across a hotel which charges high priced hotel stays but does not have the hospitality to make the stay of their guests comfortable. If you want to stay at a high end hotel in La Union, just stay at Aureo resort, they have excellent service and lower price. THUNDERBIRD IS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY.

We stayed here for three nights. We were lucky enough to be upgraded by management to a suite with a view of the ocean. It was nice to be able to sit on our room’s patio and enjoy the sea view. The room was very clean and even had a small kitchen area. The resort facilites are very nice and management and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you. There are two pools. The larger one is 3 to 4 feet deep. The second pool, closer to the water and next to the Fira Bar is 5 feet deep. Both pools were nice to swim in and very clean. We played golf a few times at the resort’s Cliffs Golf Club. It’s a 9 hole course that’s about 3,000 yards from the blue tees. It was fun and we were able to play 9 holes in about 1:45. Our only concern is with the resort’s food operation. Our first night we had dinner at the Olives Restaurant. I had the “catch of the day” Blue Marlin which was very hard and tough to chew and was served with 2 hash brown patties. It was disappointing. The next day for lunch we went to the Deli Shop which had different sandwiches listed on the menu above the counter. But we were told they didn’t serve sandwiches and only had what was in the display cases. So, we went back to the Olives Restaurant for lunch. The first 2 items my lovely wife ordered weren’t available. She ended up ordering the Pasta and Shrimp dish which she said was just ok. I had the Monte Christo sandwich which I didn’t care for. Bonus though, the breakfast buffet and coffee are very good. This is a nice resort that would be even better if they could upgrade their food operations.

First time to visit and stay in your hotel. Aside from a family trip we also had business trip attended to. We arrived late in the afternoon tired from a long hour trip. Checked in done. Asked the security officer if it's okay to unload our things/ luggage from the car and he said yes. My daughter was carrying her luggage as long as my two hands were both with luggage. I heard and saw that one female (I think it's your manager) pointed at us and may be asked your staff/ bell man to help us but he refused since he has something important to do. Ignored what I heard and saw. (Pretended ). Your female staff standing beside your nurse station assisted us where the room was. She can see that we're having a hard time carrying our luggage going up. Yes! she offered help but I thought of " baka di niya kaya buhatin, kasi ako nga na mas malaki sa kanya nahihirapan", that's why I refused. Front Desk who checked us in - No name plate that's why I can't commend her. Suggestions for other travelers. If you will check in here, Please don't bring heavy luggage since it's a "CARRY YOUR OWN LUGGAGE". No Lift at the other wing. They don't have bell man to help you with. Recommendation/s: In case you have bell man, the female staff should inform us that they /you will just deliver our luggage if bell man or porter will be available. Ambience and stay - very good. Food- delicious My daughter enjoyed her stay very much because of your facilities. Thank you!

Had a Philippine trip in December. Stayed at grand Hyatt manila, the manor in baguio, hennan prime in Boracay, luxent in qc and thunder bird in la union. Outside looking in the property looks great, large area, beach front, great views in the restaurant, spa and golf course. Started our check in process showed passport they said room wasn't ready that's fine. Their check in time was at 3. Waited at their cafe, this place had good service kinda expensive for mid coffee but it's an upscale resort so I thought it was fine. We got a call around 230pm that our room was ready, and this is where it starts to go down hill. Did the check in process lady got id and credit card, swiped my credit card for the deposit and I notice her writing something, she started writing my credit card details. The number name and the expiration date. And I asked her what she was doing she said that she needed to write it down because the card details on the receipt was masked! And I told her that there was a reason it was masked , because the deposit already went through and the data was masked to prevent fraud, at this point I was super tired coz we drove from mnl going to La Union and waited for check in so I was like ok fine they're putting it in their safe anyways. While the bellman was walking us to our room I realized that there is no reason for them to write my details on a piece of paper. My room was pre paid, the deposit went through my passport/id had the same exact details as my card. so I went back to the front desk. Asked them to remove my details even if they were putting it in a safe because some other employee could get it and start ordering stuff online. They didn't want to remove it at first so I started flipping out and then they started cutting it I asked why they got it in the first place, explained that the room is prepaid deposit went through and all that. And they said something to the lines of they needed to protect themselves from skippers! So I flipped out more because they judged me in their eyes that my stuff could be fake and I could skip the bill on the hotel on a fully paid reservation!!!! And I told them that how can I skip I'm paid and I have deposit and they gave me some BS about them not being able to get the deposit from the bank if I skip! But they already charged it. God just thinking about it makes me mad again. So I just walked out. When I got to the room it was decent, not really an ocean front room because the palm tree was covering the entire view. The edges of the door showed significant wear and tear. The water pressure in the toilet and the sink was super weak. The flush on the toilet was iffy. You had to press it a certain way so that the water would stop flowing. And the hallways going to the room itself felt like a dungeon. No windows or natural sunlight, felt damp, humid and no ventilation. Towels felt kinda old and everything just didn't feel like it was an upscale resort, it kinda felt like it had motel vibes

we stayed at 2 villas and 2 hotel rooms for 4 days 3 nights. Villa is convenient and feels like home and has veranda where you can see the golf course. But if you want a better view go for the hotel, you'd appreciate the beauty of the sea when you're on the balcony. The villas are kinda far away from the facilities ( pool, resto) so you have to walk 100-200 meters or just ride your car, while if you're in the hotel almost everything is just down below. There are two resto that I tried, one which is near the hotel and the other one is just beside the pool, the one near the pool is better. NGL the free breakfast is way better than the resto near the hotel. Tbh 4 days and 3 nights is not enough for me but its just too expensive

The resort was spectacular! Sea view was awesome! Deluxe room was spacioius, clean and great. Restaurant serves good food, breakfast buffet was decent, ala carte selection was okay. Golf driving range was a great place to exercise and unwind. The entertainment room had billiards, table football and game consoles. Staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all Thunderbird resort provided an unforgettable stay and is highly recommended while in La Union. Kudos to the management!
