Very family friendly hotel. Will surely book again whenever we get the chance to be back in The bay. It was clean, and the price is super affordable.

The parking service is very good, there is a 7-11 next to it for restocking, and I will stay here next time I come to SFO

The service is not good. You can't borrow hot water without a kettle, and you don't clean it in time.

Make sure to ask for one of the rooms NOT directly beneath the anvil factory. Seriously, before 9:00 am on a Saturday, several evidently very large men on pogo sticks arrived in the room above me and proceeded to pound something like 500,000 nails into what o would assume was their floor/my ceiling. For three hours. Non-stop. Fortunately, they finished right at checkout time, so I didn’t disturb them with my snoring. Called the front desk. Was told “they’re doing construction.” Was also told a manager would call. I was genuinely surprised when no one did. /s Thanks for a wonderful stay. When you open up the new 3rd floor bowling alley, I’ll be sure to swing by with a house-warming gift.

We stayed for a few nights for a wedding in one of the 2 queen, 1 bedroom, sofa bed suites. Both the bedroom and the lounge room with the sofa bed are quite large. The lounge area of the room feels like a lot of wasted space as it feels like there should be a coffee table of some sort in the middle as it is pictured in the hotel photos but there is nothing besides a big pinkish stain in the carpet. There also appeared to be a quarter size blood stain on a couch cushion as well as both sides of our couch were broken. For some reason the side of our couch without a back also wouldn't sit flat so it made the couch even more uncomfortable. The beds were comfortable and the pocket door lets you separate the two rooms for more privacy if you have someone sleeping on the sofa bed. Difficult to reach someone when you press the "At Your Service" button to reach someone. It rang to the point where I received the busy signal. I tried one day and had to call back twice. The second time I called, I never was able to reach someone after trying for over 15 minutes. The bathroom seems nice at a first glance but the shower pressure isn't great and there is clearly mold growing on the silicone around the tub as well as the seal between the wall and the spout is no longer sealed. I did notice a sewer smell from the sink so it appears that the piping isn't vented properly (pretty disgusting). Parking was the one plus, although you have to pay for it, there were ample parking spaces even with the hotel being pretty busy. Not sure I would stay here again.

Housekeeping "threw out" a bag we had sitting with our luggage. The bag was my husband's work bag and had air pods along with other things in it. Hotel will not reimburse or replace for their mistake.

Good service. Clean rooms, nice bathrooms. Nice hotel, great location, many shops and restaurants in close proximity. Plenty of indoor/outdoor lounging areas. Nice bar with great service.I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again.

BIG SCAM. The hotel advertises access to the concierge suite and charges for it - but on arrival says the concierge suite is closed. The hotel advertises free WiFi and then charges for it. Life's too short to have to spend time resolving fraudulent overcharges. The place is also skin-crawlingly disgusting. The mattress had a dark fluid stain of indeterminate origin, there were cheeto crumbs on the carpet, the coffee maker was sticky, and it looked like half the towels were left from a prior stay. The breakfast buffet was mediocre, and included inedible, undercooked sausages.
Response from Property: Good Afternoon. Thank you for bringing these items to our attention. Regrettably, hotels do not necessarily have control over what a third party site advertises on our behalf. I will bring this to our partner's attention and try to correct the free wifi notation. I did have our staff adjust off the cost of the wifi on your account as you were informed by the third party that we had complimentary wifi. So in the end you were not charged for it. As for the Concierge access, the hotel was still selling concierge access, because we did not account for the Memorial Day holiday and Lounge access typically occurs on Mondays and I am sorry for that. However you were given breakfast vouchers for two to enjoy the breakfast buffet in lieu of breakfast in the Lounge. The Room Cleanliness and F&B Quality has been addressed by the respective Leaders and that is something that we are continually working on improving. Thank you again for your feedback.

I went to the cafe downstairs called "Craft/Code". We decided to a la carte instead of the buffet. They told us to go get the oatmeal from the buffet. While on the way there, another waiters asks me if I want to order an omelette before the station closes. I do so. The original waiter comes and says, why did you get an omelette when you are doing a la carte? I told him that the other waiter told me to do so. This waiter then makes me feel bad. I asked him what he wants to do about. I'm like, just charge me for the omelette. He wasn't able to charge me and told me to not go there again. Thanks for being mean to me. I will not drop a single dollar on marriott again. Uptight management/employees
Response from Property: Dear SurenNihalani, Receiving warm and friendly service from our staff sets the tone for a great stay. This was not your experience, and I sincerely apologize for failing to meet your expectations. I have shared your feedback with the food and beverage leadership team so they may use this as a teachable moment to discuss our service standards. We will review improvement opportunities in the service we provide to ensure your experience is an isolated incident.

Hotel itself is OK.. not a standard Marriott hotel class, more of a INN or Motel quality. That's not why I gave them 1 star. We have two rooms stay at this hotel and upon checked in, I tried getting online via their WIFI. The WIFI page clearly stated for Marriott reward member, there won't be wifi charge.. non member will pay $9.95. Upon checked out, I saw a $9.95 charge to my card. I called and spoke to a staff member, they said they will issue me a refund.. days later, nothing happened and when I called back, they promised me with a refund and nothing happen. I called Marriott corp. office and they escalate the issue to the hotel management.. I received an email from Allen Chin - Directory of rooms claiming they will issue me a refund but won't give me any reward points.. but week later.. still no refund. This is a very shady business practice at this location. Best of luck giving them your credit card. I'm spending way too much time for a $9.95 charge and now have to dispute that with my credit card company.
Response from Property: Good Morning Bocchun, It is regrettable that your experience here did not meet your expectations. It appears that your stay was set up by your airline because of an issue with your flight. I am sorry that your refund was not processed timely and will take care of this for you as promised earlier in this week. As for your points, your airline (or another third party) had paid for your accommodations making your stay ineligible for earning points in our Bonvoy Program. I am sorry for my error and hope that you have a wonderful weekend.

A cousin was getting married at the San Mateo Marriott recently, so we logically chose to stay there. The premise and hotel are large. Location off the 101 is great. It’s near the airport, but didn’t hear any airplane noise. The staff were friendly and pleasant. Overall, our stay was OK. Here is why: 1) We arrived at 12pm and knew our check-in was at 3pm. However, our room wasn’t ready till 3:30. 2) Café. The café has coffee, drinks, and light food like bagels. However, they weren’t open when we got there. When they did open at 3pm, there was one employee and a long line of patrons. On top of that, the café wasn’t well stocked with food (in other words, a lot of items, were out at the moment)….. so snack options were very limited. 3) Between the wedding and reception, there were no other options for food. The restaurant was closed till dinner time. 4) There were multiple events going on at the same time. There were at least three, maybe four events. Yes, the premise is big, but it was a little chaotic and busy. 5) And when we did go to their restaurant in the morning for breakfast, the menu items were very over-priced. Again, overall, it was OK. The issues with food were amplified because we were traveling with children. In retrospect, we brought plenty of water, but we should of brought our own snacks.

Avoid this place. It’s an absolute dump. Room is dirty, dingy, gray and depressing and has a bad smell. No coffee maker, no bathtub. Despite the overpriced rate, Wifi is $10 a day. Extremely unhelpful staff.
