The suite I booked turned out to be just a big bed and a small folding bed, maybe my understanding is different. But the front desk changed me to two big bed rooms, which was not bad. Downstairs is the bar street, which is quite interesting to stroll around.

The hotel is almost 100 years old and it's still great because it's been refurbished and well maintained. The main entrance of the hotel is on the pedestrian street, and along the street are restaurants, bars and shops, which is very convenient. It is only ten minutes walk to the famous Stearn Wharf, and the location is excellent. The only downside is that the room is small. But in downtown, this is already very good 😀

I was staying at a hotel suite on Pennsylvania Ave in Washington, D.C. with some friends. Then I decided that the sunny ranch in Santa Barbara, California would cheer me up. I would definitely recommend everyone to try it. The Pennsylvania Avenue guest rooms and then the Santa Barbara ranch.

I loved this hotel. Located in the heart of downtown with easy walk to great restaurants. The lobby Is beautiful, newly decorated and comfortable. The coffee in the lobby was always fresh and hot. The desk staff was very attentive and extremely pleasant. The rooms are small but the area wants you to come out and play. Although small they are very well outfitted with a generous mini bar, coffee and snacks. Bed was very comfortable. The most pleasant stay so far on our trip and the price is acceptable for an area where prices are generally very high.

I have never been compelled to write a review about anything until my experience at this hotel. Future visitors be warned, this hotel is directly next to extremely loud bars that do not close until 1:45am and the hotel itself is under construction. Do not stay here as you will not sleep during the night time and then will not be able to nap. It’s truly appalling to pay $450 a night and not be able to do the one thing you are supposed to be able to do in a hotel… never had a worse experience at a hotel before

Absolutely beautiful hotel, excellent location. It doesn't have a bar or restaurant but is surrounded by lots of restaurants, bars and shops. I ate at Joe's Cafe immediately opposite the hotel. Food was amazing and the place was full which is always a good sign ! This hotel is very elegant and the rooms are lovely. I have to mention that this hotel has every TV channel available unlike some hotels where I have stayed which have the basics. BTW I wasn't recommended to the hotel I just took a chance on it and certainly wasn't disappointed !

The hotel is lovely. It’s in a great location on State Street and near so many restaurants and fun shops. The lobby is lovely and the rooms are very comfortable. The bed was really comfortable and the staff was helpful, attentive and wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Location and staff were excellent. However the room could have been different - the closet was mostly filled with the refrigerator and honor bar, leaving little room for clothes. We were happy to see the refrigerator, but it too was mostly filled with honor bar drinks. - we would have liked a slightly larger tv. - we had trouble keeping the bathroom floor dry while taking a shower. Especially for my 4’11” wife
