Hotels near Mazu Temple of Sanya in Sanya

DON’T GO TO WUZHIZHOU IF YOU WANT TO SWIM IN THE SEA.  This island has ONLY ONE location for swimming (first two of my photos). It’s a small and loud area of the island because all of the ferries & tourists arrive there all day and there are tons of water sports, waves, taxi-driver-esque club music, and tourists the entire time. Additionally, swimming is also off limits at this area after 5:30PM because no lifeguard is on duty, however there is still a man there to tell you not to swim. If you look at my pictures of the beach with the pier/temple and sail boats, these are prime locations for swimming, but there is no swimming allowed here because there are “too many shells” along the entrance to the water. I also asked if I could wear my water shoes in, and was also rejected. There are swim-Nazis positioned everywhere to yell at you to get out. The staff generally don’t speak English, however my wife and I can speak Chinese which came in handy when my family w/ baby (without question) was given a ******* Disney-themed garden view, when in fact we booked the sea-view room with balcony and small side-pool. The hotel pool was nice and we spent our time there. The food was good at the restaurants accessed from within the lobby (3rd or 4th floor). The buffet was terrible, overpriced (but free beer), and most of the good food was gone or required a long wait in order to actually get it. Amenities were decent for this level hotel, but my family went there for obvious reasons, the beach and beautiful sea. We were very disappointed that there was no swimming allowed and will not return. The average person that visits WuZhiZhou are tourists that want to take pictures or for wedding photos.

Firstly, we were upgraded to the Coral hotel rooms, which was really nice. (so the review is for Coral hotel). The room is nice, clean and comfortable. The food options at the hotel are quite mediocre however, and seriously overpriced. There aren't restaurants in the evening outside of the hotel so they can charge whatever they want, and the quality is mediocre. But the hotel itself is good.

I wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the whole crew for the exceptional customer service they provided during my recent stay at the hotel. But I would like to give a SPECIAL MENTION TO MIKI her attentiveness, professionalism, and warm demeanor truly made my experience memorable and enjoyable. Miki's dedication to ensuring my comfort and satisfaction did not go unnoticed, and I am truly grateful for her efforts. I want to say thanks to MIKI for going above and beyond to make my stay a wonderful one. I look forward to returning to the hotel and experiencing her exceptional service once again.

Grace did a great job as butler for our stay at Atlantis Sanya Hotel. We are very happy with her service. Hotel amenities were fantastic, and customer service went above and beyond when we had issues with the air conditioning in our room. We will certainly stay again!

The price is very high, the scenery from the balcony is also very good, the sound insulation is also good, there is a separate elevator card, so it will be relatively quiet, there will be no noise from the building and the room, the housekeeper is also very considerate, this price is very satisfied, downstairs The parking is also very convenient. Parking in Sanya is the most convenient parking place I live in. Other accommodations are not good for parking. The takeaway is also very good. I strongly recommend

Sofitel has outstanding facilities. I selected the hotel specifically because of the activities that are build around younger children 4-9 yrs. There is a daily schedule for kids including cooking, go kart introduction sessions, foam party at the kids pool. For the fancy things you will have to pay e.g. Kayaking at the pool. We had a room with direct pool access which was the most used feature of the holiday by the young ones. The are several pools including an infinity pool closer direction beach. No swimming area at the beach. So don’t expect a dip into the sea. We stayed either at our room with direct pool access or at the main pool next to the children’s play and pool area. Three slides at the kids area including one with tubes only for children) Breakfast is excellent! I blame it for gaining weight. Plus you can get food till 11am. Big plus The restaurants at the hotel are very good. One Thai and one Chinese. But not really an every day option for me. Basic dishes start at ard 100 RMB and a Beef Curry ist at 170 RMB. No IPA or Craft beer on the beer list. Location is “only” 4 out of 5. There’s nothing within walking distance of the hotel. No restaurant, no bar or anything. So if you wanna go anywhere plan 30-60 min commuting by Didi / Taxi. Overall a fantastic stay and a big thank you to Nikki. She did a great job as experience manager at Sofitel and is a huge help if you are struggling with Chinese topics.

Wonderful stay with 1 hotel! Lovely hotel and excellent service from all the staff. Especially our butler Ms. Zoe, will check with me daily on my needs and go the extra mile to find out the information for me when I have a payment issue with Alipay and need cash withdrawal from an ATM. Zoe specially arranged birthday decorations and cake in the room for my partner's birthday. I will return to 1 hotel when I revisit Sanya. Thank you.

Hotel apartment. On the last day in Sanya, I found a hotel apartment in Haitang Bay. The store description was consistent with the actual situation. I was very satisfied with this. Since the parking lot belongs to the hotel and is charged, I also specifically informed that the nearby free parking lot is very convenient and the service is very convenient. good. The room is quite clean. Although it looks a bit old, the bedding and bath products are very good, especially the disposable toilet cover, which is great.

I wouldn’t stay here again. It’s not worth it. In my 5+ years of living in China and using Trip.com, this is the first time I’ve ever written a poor review. I should start by saying that the staff are incredibly courteous, just mostly incompetent. Out of the staff, there was only Vito, who was kind and prompt with check-in and follow up. Everyone else who works there of course has a very difficult job, and while they had a few mistakes here and there, I understand that 端午节 can be a very busy time of year. In those cases, the manager Brian was very kind to try and help resolve them. However, overall the hotel has policies in place that are just unacceptable. Firstly, after checking in I was told that there would be a music festival happening right next to the hotel. So for 2 days, I had to listen to nonstop EDM through the afternoon and night. It was so bad that my room would literally vibrate with the music until midnight. If I had been warned of this ahead of time, I would have chosen another place. But instead they chose the sneaky route and did not say anything until I had already paid the deposit and was in the room. So shady. Secondly, Trip.com lists this place as having an “exclusive beach area” but there was nothing of the sort. There IS a path to the beach, but on the way there you will come across a sign that says it is in no way linked to Shangri-La. There are a small amount of beach chairs out there, but again, they say this isn’t their property so I was worried the whole time that I was intruding. In addition, it’s still quite a bit of a walk, so remember to bring all your own things (water, towel, snacks, etc) because getting back to the property will take some time. Also, the area does not permit swimming. That is of course something they cannot control, but if you are hoping to swim in the ocean, this will disappoint you. Thirdly, breakfast was a mess. I am fully aware that things are different over a holiday, but they couldn’t fit everyone in the restaurant so they had to set up an additional “breakfast area” that had about half the choices—and then shove you away in this little crowded ballroom. I learned the second day that there was a patio option with no wait, and I actually had wanted to sit outside anyway, but no one told me this was available. Even then, I had to ask for my own cutlery (they gave me a children’s set), they did not wipe down the tables, and no one paid any attention to me until I finally showed some frustration. Fourth, the place is very much geared towards families. This place has the most “children-friendly” resources out of every Sanya hotel I’ve stayed in, and if you are a parent this is of course great. However, if you are looking for a quiet retreat, I recommend you look somewhere far far away. For my entire stay, I had to deal with screaming kids and their louder-screaming parents (two families got in a screaming match at the pool, and no one did anything except stare). It is definitely something to be aware of when planning your stay. Honestly, I wanted to spend as little time at the property as possible. It was just too frustrating, too loud, too disorganized, and a waste of my money. This place is taking advantage of the name “Shangri-La” to overcharge you.

There are 13 of us and we booked 7 rooms in this B & B. The location is excellent and within a few meter from the sea. They have a few designs for the room, the rooms are clean and tidy with all the basic necessity. The staff are warm and always with a sweet smile. The only set back for this hotel is it does not have a lift but this does not prevent them for providing you a good service. All the luggage are brought to your room when you check in and down when you check out. I was staying on the 5th floor, there was a night where we asked for ices on two continuous occasion, their willingness to serve you is reflected on their smiling face. After checking out, I realised that one of my package did not reach me and was still in village courier service center, I seek their help to go to the center to collect the package and courier it back to me, the package is already in my procession. On the day when we checked out, as an appreciation to the guy who has been running up and down the hotel to provide us the service, I offered him a RMB 100 tip and he refused to accept even I insisted, his response was it was their responsibility and obligation, also thanking us for choosing to stay there. I will not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip.
