Hotels near Ishiyama Shrine in Sapporo

Good price, location and room size. Close to Sapparro JR station, convenience stores, McDonald's and souvenir shops. Recommended!

Posh looking hotel tucked in the corner a few streets away from Sapporo station, the hotel looks much different from what pictures tell. Stayed for 2 nights - amenities provided in the hotel room were plentiful with a decent sized bathtub and beds. We want to highlight the reception for being very service oriented, asking if we were on our honeymoon and gave us a free upgrade on the spot. The only inconvenience would be the lack of a free onsen facility but I'll have to consider the rest of the hotel a win.

Vessel Hotels never disappoint when you are looking for a simple business hotel to stay in and particularly so for a solo traveller like i am. The room was small but clean and the breakfast was delicious - just look at it 😍 Everything tasted fresh and it was advertised as once being no. 4 in the country!

The service at the front desk was very good. My friend lost her mobile phone. The girl at the front desk was very helpful in helping to translate and contact. Finally, she helped my friend find her mobile phone. The accommodation environment is also very good. I will choose this hotel next time. Finally, thank you for your service!

Excellent hotel just walking distance from shopping malls and restaurants. Just take the train from New Chitose Airport and you will arrive near to the hotel plus it is walking distance to places of interest.

In the past, I haven't had the best experience at Wyndham hotels. However, Wyndham Garden Sapporo Odori was INCREDIBLE. The hotel was super clean, the breakfast had a small variety of food (but delicious nonetheless), and the service was incredible. Service: Takuichi Sugiyama went above and beyond to serve us, and I genuinely have not met someone who works so hard and takes great pride in his work in such a long time. He was super friendly, always happy to help whenever we needed something, and you could tell he knew everything about the hotel and Sapporo in general — he even helped us ship our luggage to the airport and to our other hotels by doing all the paperwork for us. Kawaguchi Kiyohara was also extremely friendly and helped wherever she could! I don't think I could ask for better service. Attractions: The hotel is in a great spot! It's just a block away from Tanukikoji Shopping Street 1-2 and it's super easy to get around with the tram and trains quite close. Cleanliness and Decor: I loved how everything was new, and I loved the dark aesthetic (it made the rooms feel cosier — great in my case since we stayed in the middle of winter). The room was a tad smaller than what I'm used to, but again, I loved how cosy it was, and there was still enough space for me. One small thing that I noticed was the lingering smell of cigarettes in the lobby as you walked to the elevators. It wasn't until later on that I realised there was a smoking room at the end of the bathroom hallway. I really despise the smell of cigarettes, and it bothered me any time I returned to the hotel at night — perhaps, something could be done about this? This was the only thing I disliked; everything else, I have no complaints about. I would 100% stay here again.

We stayed in nine hotels during our six week Winter visit to Japan; this hotel was the third most stylish but the second most uncomfortable. The corner double room has the right look with a little tea room next to a floor to ceiling window. We had a partial view of the Botanical Gardens which was pretty. The room was uncomfortable for the following reasons: 1. No storage. The room fit out is super minimal but if you have luggage there's nowhere to put it and no hanging space. 2. The designer was going for a zen low lighting experience but the room was so dark we couldn't see anything. There is one dim lamp next to the bed and another low light overhead light. It was so dark we had to borrow desk lamps to be able to see into our suitcases. Maybe the designer was trying to create a moody atmosphere but we found it dreary and depressing. 3. The thermostat has no fine controls - the room was either way too hot or very cold. We chose to turn the heat off and borrow extra blankets and wear extra layers. We chose the corner double room which despite being one of the larger rooms, felt too cramped for a four day stay. The onsen was stylish and cool. The outdoor onsen was set in cute snowscape. Having an onsen with snow around you felt very luxe. Unfortunately this hotel attracts a certain young, nouveau riche clientele who take selfies endlessly in this Instagram ready hotel. There were men taking photos of themselves in the onsen on two occasions; I felt like my privacy had been violated as I was in the same bath. It upset me they didn't respect me enough to abstain from taking video footage. Did they do that just because my partner and I were clearly not Japanese? We enjoyed the authentic breakfast, although I feel like having it once probably would have been enough. The location of the hotel was a bit of a dead zone, unless you love walking there are probably more central locations. If you can't speak Japanese the staff are just OK. I was overcharged and managed to get a refund even despite the language barrier. I would not stay at this hotel again but I did enjoy certain aspects of my stay.

Cancel the other hotel to continue stay for total of 4 days. Due to lazy to move from each hotel to each hotel under the snow period. But regret it. Because I don’t feel welcome by the staffs at all. They not willing to go for extra mile to assist on storage luggage. Not willing to have more customers service with guests. Don’t think will return to this hotel again. There are more choice surrounding this area. Weak point is; room have to sound proof. Wear earpiece as the top room/ corridor can be very noisy/ staffs not friendly

Stayed 3 nights in this hotel, we booked a room type NORD, a twin room for a couple and a 9 yrs old kid. The room was spacious and clean. Bathroom has luxurious shower head and bathtub. Unlimited free coffee at the lobby, 1 free glass of wine per day, vending machine, coin laundry, bathroom amenities all well provided. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I needed their help to make a phone call in japanese and it was done and arranged perfectly. Location was great, 2 mins walk from exit 24 of Sapporo Subway Station and Family Mart is right behind it. Tokyu Department store with Uniqlo, GU and Big Camera just right across the street. The only down side would be it doesn’t have a very great view, but the price was really budget friendly too. Really enjoyed our stay.

This newly opened hotel is perfectly located next to Susukino station on Level 7. The Airport Limousine Bus will drop you about 1 block back from the hotel. The rooms are fairly small yet functional, bigger rooms have the lesser view so pick a small room. You will be unable to access the hotel onsen/spa unless you book a premium room with no paid access allowed. This seems like an incredible shortsided mindset of the hotel especially if the onsen is empty. Why not offer paid entry to guests during quiet times? The hotel also participates in extensive greenwashing with a fake commitment to helping the environment. If you choose eco housekeeping, they will still throw away your toothbrush and replace with another. On top of this, they give you a QR code to redeem a free bottle of water of tea (unsure how this helps the environment?) Breakfast is okay but be sure to arrive before 9am as food is not replenished or replaced on the buffet. There are lots of service staff standing and running around but not much productivity of cleaning tables, removing plates etc. The local area has extensive “girl information” shop fronts so I probably wouldn’t recommend the area for families although it did feel safe.
