My partner and I stayed 2 nights on a recent motorcycle touring holiday having spotted the Hotel on someone else's YouTube video. Beautifully restored building and designed hotel. Huge bedroom with vaulted ceiling. Massive bed. Cleaning standards 7/10, quite a bit of dirt and dust around the skirting edges against hard wood floor. On one day around 5pm the hotwater wasn't hot enough for a bath. Breakfast was OK I guess, toast, some fruits, some meat and cheese and cake. Some scrambled egg and sausage and bacon. I don't think the Spanish do great breakfast. Coffee machine was, to my taste, average. Swimming pool is rather small, the angle of the photo in PR makes it look much larger. Good secure car parking. Gardens maintained OK. Cafe across the road was a wonderful introduction to locals with a glass of wine for €1.50. Dinner was available in Hotel, unusual set up where they WhatsApp a menu to you and you have to preorder the food. They switched the lights on in the breakfast room for us to eat. It lacked a bit of atmosphere and the food was OK if a little expensive in comparison to where we ate on day 2 and where we'd eaten for 5 nights in Picos. So a smart, beautifully designed and restored building, comfortable nights sleep in a huge bed, coffee average, value for money less so as it was relatively expensive at €199 per night for 2 BnB. I think if in the area again we'd stay somewhere else. Perhaps with easier walking access to local restaurants when the offering on site is more a refuelling option. I've given it 4 as 3 might be a little mean. I think 4 is generous to be honest and 3.5.mighy be fairer. I wouldn't recommend it as an overall destination experience. Hope the review is helpful. The Posada we stayed at 10km outside Potes was a centre for locals and had a reputation that non residents had driven to come and use it. Nothing like that here.
