Gower Hotel

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. First appearances can be deceptive. It’s an old building but don’t let that put you off. We had to call into the hotel to find out where to park. Couldn’t find any staff but someone showed me a sign with directions. At this time of year parking was easy. I’m told it can be difficult at peak times. We were not allowed to book in before 3pm even though room was ready as it was quiet. Other than that the staff are really helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Freshly cooked to order. We didn’t eat dinner at the hotel so unable to comment. The room was perfectly adequate and again nothing was too much trouble. I asked for fresh milk for the room. If we needed a hotel in Saundersfoot in future then this would be it

We spent 6 nights at this lovely hotel. Had an issue with parking on arrival, due to another guests inconsideration. The staff were extremely helpful and helped with suggestions as to where might be available nearby ... A little inconvenient but quickly remedied and we had no other issues. Every member of staff was very pleasant, kind and courteous. The lady who was cleaning the rooms provided extra tea, milk and biscuits without any queries and changed our cups on request. It is made very clear that if you want your room serviced, you only need ask. During our 6 night stay our breakfast every morning was freshly cooked and lovely! We had 2 evening meals in the restaurant and these were both really lovely and a good price. Nothing, during our stay, was any trouble for anyone. Great location in the middle of Saundersfoot. Easy walking distance to the beach, and across the road from the bus stop to Tenby. Lift to all floors, parking at the rear. Cleaning could be much better. If you want your room serviced, you have to put a chalkboard outside the door, this was not mentioned at check-in, but there is a notice in reception - if you look for it! You also have to order breakfast the day before! No fresh fruit or choice of yogurt at breakfast. Get your own tea and coffee. Restaurant closed for dinner as no bookings, but no obvious menu available! All a little tired and Fawlty Towers like!

This is a super hotel. The staff could not have been any more helpful. We travelled as a family group with children and grandparents. They provided everything we asked for and they met all our needs. Every staff member was so helpful. The restaurant food was lovely. Much better than we expected it to be. Would highly recommend. Very good price as well. The rooms are very clean and recently renovated. Lots of car parking. Thankyou to all the wonderful staff

The Gower hotel is a relaxed, clean and comfortable hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and the situation is very convenient. The restaurant serves a delicious dinner and breakfast. Service was always with a smile. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend to others

Dreadful rude & unhelpful staff ruined the whole experience, hated it from start to finish cant say just how much this booking upset me endless calls about booking in, rude on the phone when i asked them to stop probably given the worst room in the place

stayed in the Gower many times before, always a warm welcome, staff are very friendly and helpful, lovely bar with log fire in colder weather, good breakfast choice and great location, l can and do recommend this hotel to my friends who also love the place

A very friendly hotel - the staff were welcoming when we arrived a little early, quick check in and directed us to the car park round the back. Room was very small but adequate for our one night stay The Bar was fabulous with lots of locals and caravan owners. Great central location near to the front, shops and restaurants Breakfast was absolutely delicious

Lovely clean comfortable room. We had a little balcony which was nice. The bar was cosy and there was a good choice of lagers. We had to choose our breakfast the night before which was fine. My husband changed his mind in the morning and they were happy to change his breakfast choice. The young lad there was lovely I think his name was Alex. It is situated in a really good place and we walked onto the beach in the morning. Overall a fab stay.
