Six Senses Fort Barwara

Our recent stay at the Six Senses Fort Barwara was the highlight of our holiday. This magical place in a remote part of Rajasthan, was such a wonderful surprise and it's hats off to it's creators. The restoration of a ?700 year old fort in disrepair, to the current exquisite, sprawling and ultra comfortable hotel has been done with phenomenal sympathy and great character. The suites are ultra comfortable with great attention to detail and world class, high end fitments and that includes the toilets! The staff are courteous, without being overbearing and the food scrumptious. We enjoyed swimming in the 'tunnel' and the local artisans were a hit with our grandkids. This review would be incomplete without mentioning the special care that we received from Shri Govardhanji, a smiling real life 'Krishna', in the restaurant who went above and beyond to ensure we and, in particular, our grandchildren were well fed and got to taste all the local delicacies. Our GEM, Ms Sarika was a real 'gem' and took care of all our arrangements. Overall, a lovely experience and I'm sure a lasting memory.

This place is a must at least once in your lifetime. Every part of this place was gorgeous. It was thoughtfully designed and it was awesome to see how they incorporated the remnants of the old fort through out the property. If you love to take pictures, get ready!!! When you walk in you are greeted with so much love. The staff was absolutely amazing. I would love to give a shoutout especially to Rohit who is in charge of Food & Beverage and his staff. Rohit, was always there in the morning and we had a special dinner under the stars and he was there as well to make sure everything went smooth. He is very well versed and knowledgeable about Rajasthan. He gave us additional suggestions for places to visit for the rest of our journey. Aditya, is another person that was just as amazing. He would make delicious juice with turmeric and other ingredients. He would explain everything and was very personable. If you go there, ask for him. He’s so sweet! When you go to the breakfast area you will be greeted with an aunty that serves masala tea(chai). I love her! She was so amazing and the tea was soo good; be ready to drink like 5 cups in one sitting. It’s that good! Last person I want to mention is Dilip Chouhan, he was very instrumental in getting us a really nice suite. The suites were very spacious and absolutely beautiful. We loved that it had an outdoor shower and gorgeous patio that had such amazing views. My kids loved being in the pool, making pottery, and having so many places to run around and play within the property. If you plan on doing the safari, make sure you book ahead. It gets booked up quickly. We got to meet the owner as well; she was absolutely amazing. It was awesome talking to her and their vision for this place. Overall we had an amazing experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives.

A magical place! The atmosphere was great, the people were very polite, the spa was amazing and the music by the fire was fantastic! Also I enjoyed the craftsmen that were at the poolside area and shared with us their art! Sayantani helped us with everything we needed. She was a great hostess!!! 👏👏👏

Beautiful property, very friendly & helpful staff. Especially impressed with Ganesh for his patient & proactive service. Will plan another stay again with family. Food was not up to expectation, but everything else more than made up for it.

I have just come back from Six Senses after bringing in New Year, while leaving the property I somehow felt I was leaving my home, that’s the feeling you get maybe it’s each to it’s own but the immaculate beauty of the property the calmness the serene surroundings just did some magic and not to forget the staff is just like a family getting personal attention and listening to your needs 24/7 is unforgettable, I already feel like going back. However I think Six Sense also has a scope of improvement in terms of F&B although it’s good and they try to source everything locally and think sustainable so maybe not too many varieties but I still feel they can do better esp Breakfast! Last but the not the least hats off to them for being completely plastic free, you won’t find an inch of plastic unless you leave your own, it’s just not their policy that’s what I loved, their fundamental of being sustainable and organic in their approach really blew my mind, Good Job there All in all It’s a must Visit!

It was an unforgettable experience. Love this place. Fort, activities, food and perfect servis. Especially Sanyia was great. She cared for us and served us throughout. Hard-working and lovely girl. I love it when people do their job professionally and from the heart. Also thank you Mehak for her great treatment. We felt like in a family. We will definitely come back here.
