Best Hotels near Farne Islands, Seahouses

A bit disappointing, room next door to the loft and you could hear everyone coming and going. Breakfast was tasty but did not contain all items advertised.

We stayed last week for 3 nights - bed breakfast and evening meal. We had a sea view room with balcony. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, polite & welcoming. The food was top quality - highlights were the hot, freshly cooked buffet breakfast, big fresh croissants and one of the best currys we've ever had (chicken narpiaza). The room was modern, well furnished, clean and very warm (appreciated considering it was freezing outside). The shower temperature could be a bit variable but the power was good. We sometimes got in the pub carpark, sometimes had to use the public one, but at just over a fiver for 24 hours and being just across the road, it wasn't a concern. Highly recommended.

Absolute gem of a find. We were looking for a reasonably priced B&B or hotel in the area and found the white swan. Room was fantastic with a ginormous king sized bed. Lovely touch as they rang me on the afternoon before we checked in to see if we wanted to book a table as they were busy with table bookings that evening. We were glad we accepted, the evening meal was out of this world and so was the breakfast next morning. We will definitely return and recommend to everyone if you want a fantastic experience in a beautiful little country village then staying here is a must!

After seeing George Clarke talk about this fantastic boutique hotel, we knew we had to book an evening as we were travelling up to the east coast of Scotland for a wedding. A fantastic, central location with views of the magical Alnwick Castle, everything about this boutique hotel felt incredibly well thought out; combining high-class, expensive, quality furniture, while keeping a relaxed, genuine family-owned atmosphere. As soon as we arrived we had a friendly northeast welcome and the staff were incredibly thoughtful and helpful throughout our stay. In the evening, we sat down to one of the best 3 course meals we've ever tasted for my dad's birthday. A great array of choice on the menu and as the four of us all had different dishes, the fact we all described the food as delicious in every bite, is a fantastic compliment to the chef and their team. Within the room, the beds were incredibly comfortable, the shower was very impressive (and powerful water pressure, hard to come by usually in a hotel) and it was lovely to see that the hotel have fully embraced their history with a booklet of the story of 12 Bailiffgate in each room. It's not just the bigger things that have been done incredibly well, but it was the actual cookie jar filled with cookies that was the cherry on top of the cake. We will definitely be back! I had a three night stay in this pub hotel, situated close to the train station and only a five minute walk to the town centre. Check in was friendly and efficient - the receptionist was very helpful in assisting me with transport information. My room was clean, with a skylight window, and nice refreshments. The bathroom was small, but clean. The shower was adequate but the sink was too small and there was no hot water during my stay - I was told the bathroom was due an overhaul. Breakfast was fresh and well presented (both self-service and table-served). I had some issues with accessing WiFi as my room was some distance from the router, but WiFi worked well in the breakfast room and the bar. There were lots of choices of bars, cafes and restaurants within 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel (I'd highly recommend Coull's and Audela) and it was easy to walk to the tourist sites in the area. In general shops don't open early and many in the town were closed on Wednesday afternoon. Bus services were good and I was easily able to explore the Northumberland coast.
