The Bamburgh Castle Inn - the Inn Collection Group ★★★
The Hides
"Great rooms, in walking distance from the sea, and so so cheap! I went with some friends for the weekend and we had such a nice time. The owner is also lovely and so helpful- we had a minor problem with toilet our first day and she had it sorted out right away! The outdoor seating and barbecues also really make for a lovely holiday."
The Olde Ship Inn ★★★★
"An absolutely fantastic hotel! It's about a five-minute walk from the bus stop and only five minutes from the pier where boats depart, which was incredibly convenient for our booked bird-watching tour. You can wake up early and walk to the pier to catch the sunrise, then grab some fish and chips. The service was superb; the staff were very welcoming and always ready to help with any requests. The hotel also operates as a pub/restaurant, and the food quality is excellent, with very attentive service. Even Charles, when he was still a prince, visited here. Our accommodation was a small bungalow separate from the main hotel. It's unbelievable to get an entire house with a living room and kitchen at this price in the UK – it truly felt like living in the town. Breakfast is à la carte, a very delicious and traditional English breakfast."
Links Lets Room Only ★★
"I stayed in the Links Snug for two nights & would highly recommend it. I have to say that exceeded my expectations. I was sent the code for the keysafe before I arrived with photos of the building so it was very easy to find & gain entry into the room. It was really convenient to be able to park outside the door with its dedicated parking area. The bed was one of the comfiest I’ve slept in so I had a couple of great nights sleep. The bed linen felt like good quality with comfy pillows. The room is all on the ground floor & has three large picture windows looking out onto the road so unfortunately I had to keep the blinds closed for privacy. The road noise didn’t bother me at all as it’s pretty quiet in the evening & early morning. The room was very comfortable with everything I needed to make my stay enjoyable. There was a large TV on the wall opposite the bed with a lovely clear picture. There was an info booklet with a WiFi code in it, however I didn’t manage to connect at all during my stay. I just had a message saying that the request to join had failed. Whether this was because I was in the snug & not one of the other rooms, I’m not sure but it wasn’t important enough to me to call somebody out of hours about it. There was a table with two chairs & this had the kettle & tea/coffee on it. The bathroom was well fitted & cosy with a heated towel rail & a good sized shower cubicle. One small thing that would make it more convenient would be to have a small table/cabinet in there so there is somewhere raised to place make up bags & toiletries on, rather than on the floor. There is plenty of room for this between the toilet & sink. I will definitely return to the Links snug. It’s a great location to wander to the harbour & cafes, shops & pubs."
CBH Beach House Hotel ★★★★
"If you plan to stay at the Beach House Hotel, be sure to arrive by taxi or on foot because you will not be able to park your car there. The nearest available space is a 10 minute walk out of town where the double yellow lines stop, by the beach."
Springwood ★★★★★
"What a find this was. Perfect in every way. We had a great welcoming from Ian who was very informative and had a wonderful sense of humour. Our room was large, very comfortable and so clean. Much to our delight there was fresh milk in the fridge. It is so quiet here making for a great night's sleep. Breakfast was spot on with top quality ingredients. Very highly recommended."
Nine King Street Seahouses Room Only Accommodation ★★★
"Room wasn't what we expected, wasn't cleaned properly, we told the owner, who then offered to come and sort it out,I will give him his due he was always on the end of the phone if you needed him.he did give us a rebate, the toilet was only 2ft from my side of the bed and you could hear the people in the next room who were very noisy, but that's not his fault .we found it claustro phobic.the only reason I give 2 is because of the owner or it would be a 1."
Host Stay Ocean Pearl ★★★
