Hotels near Boai Garden in Shanghai

I was positively surprised by this hotel. I stayed here for two nights during my visit to Shanghai over a weekend. The location is absolutely perfect in the heart of Shanghai, the rooms have a good size with large bathrooms (at least my room did). Cleanliness level was also very high. I have nothing negative to say about my stay here and I would definitely consider to book this hotel again in the future. Check-in procedure for foreign travelers is also smooth.

For the price, it's a great place to stay at, the cheapest I found in that location! It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the next subway station, and around 45 minutes to walk to the Bund. The room was average but did its job pretty well. The hotel was quite noisy due to thin walls and construction, but you get what you pay for. Overall, recommended for budget conscious travelers

When we arrived our room was sold out, so the hotel upgraded us for free and ensured we were happy and looked after. Fantastic location in the city, amazing room and a great trip. Will most definitely book again.

This hotel was a great find! This was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in while living in Asia. Walking distance between two subway stations and in an area with a large array of restaurants and shops, the location is great. The staff was welcoming and spoke English. Although they follow city laws and don’t put some of the amenities in rooms any more, they are available for taking in the lobby. Unfortunately, there was hair on the floor and towels, thus the reason for the low score in cleanliness. I would definitely recommend the hotel and will stay here again next time I’m in Shanghai.

What we love - its central location, cleanliness, a lot of food choices during breakfast buffet, heated pool. We just had some concerns during booking and check in, it was not indicated that our room has no windows but the reception just gave us this room without windows. Due to winter, temperature control cannot be changed so it tends to be very warm.

You can’t ask for too much from a youth hostel, right? At least this bed doesn't have a top bunk so you don't have to crawl around. There is a space to rest, I think it’s quite big But foreigners are not friendly, and you have to scan the QR code for the washing machine It cannot be used without electronic payment tools I can't use the vending machine either I buy ice-free water from the counter every day. Although there is a whole family nearby within walking distance 🥹 The sanitary part of the room is very clean I believe the staff are cleaning other public spaces. But youth hostels still have to rely on everyone’s merit, so so Location part in a community? Residents feel that there are mostly girls and there are stratifications. There is a locker with a combination lock in the room, which is simple. At least I think it's easy to guess the password Also, the cabinet in my room is a little crooked and makes it annoying to use. So you still have to bring your valuables with you. In addition, you also need to sense the room card to enter your own quadruple room area. But if everyone doesn’t lock the door, it’s just like decoration hahahaha The location should be quite close to many attractions. I didn't go, but it seems that the bus can reach you. The bus stop is very close, just cross the road after exiting. But there are really many old shops nearby (you can reach them after a short walk) But there are also many Internet celebrity stores that always have queues anyway. Overall, the price of this youth hostel is generally on the high side. (Maybe it’s because of the room type I booked) The advantage is that I have my own box. Of course I can't stand up straight but it won't be too painful. The air conditioner works hard at a very cold temperature But it's still quite hot after the curtains are drawn down It is recommended to go to the first floor to cool down before going up to sleep. What is provided is a combination of shampoo and body wash in blue, If you are concerned, you can bring your own. Personally, I just feel free to do so. After all, this is a youth hostel. I just want to stay in the city center. Overall, the CP value is not high and I wouldn’t want to come here a second time, but it won’t be a bad review. Provided for everyone’s reference!

Hygiene: The corridors of the hotel rooms are clean and tidy, and there is an open-air terrace where you can rest.

As usual, super service and warm feeling at Ascott Arrived in the middle of the night and very professional and kind receptionist then who remembered all details about my previous stays and was very quick at handling my booking and handing me room keys after a long trip Great room servicing lady , very quick and effective

Check-in wasn’t a good experience, but the hotel was okay after that. When I first checked-in, the room key cards I was given didn’t work, which was frustrating as the room was one of the furthest from reception. This meant I had to go all the way back for new keys after a long day. I just wanted to relax! Then the second room I was given didn’t match the photos on Trip.com, in particular it didn’t have a real window, looking over the dining area rather than outside. But when finally settled into the third room, the stay was okay. It was supposedly an upgrade, but it only looked like the room I had booked. The location is the big plus: right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street which leads to the Bund, both iconic locations that are great to visit. I didn’t have the breakfast as there were no spare seats, so I went to a nearby McDonald’s instead. The hotel needs to enlarge its dining area.

Service: 5/5 stars. Extremely friendly staff. The reception team is very helpful in giving room and meal information. The staff kindly gave us a Mingzhu tower view for our 2nd night here - it was a tough request but they made it happen! Thank you Jay! Location: 5/5. Located directly on Nanjing road where all the food stops and only 12 minutes walking distance to the Bund! Food: 10/5 The breakfast selection here is SUPERB. They have cold dishes like salad, hot food such as noodles and pan fried buns and local snacks such as fried rice cubes (?) Ci fan gao. I booked this hotel stay to celebrate my mums 65th birthday and the hotel staff are so sweet and organised a beautiful chocolate cake for us. Honestly, this hotel is fabulous and is worth your money!
