Guisu Homestay (Nanjing West Road) Reviews

We arrived at the Pudong airport at 4 am. The homestay arranged a temporary unit for 4 of us to have a nap & store our luggage before we checked in our unit. Their homestay units are at a very convenient location. They are near to the metro station. We were staying at 2 different units. One was an old nostalgic shanghai-styled design and the other one was a modern minimalistic design at an historical neighbourhood . We enjoyed the stay very much. We had excellent help from Mr. Yong ( property). We kept in touch through wechat and his response was instant. We will definitely stay at this homestay when we make our next visit to Shanghai.

Location us very good, easy to find. Room very clean. Host also very good and always helpful with everything during your stay. Very recommended and I will come back to stay for sure in my next Shanghai visit.

Lovely place in a good neighborhood with restaurants and shops within few steps. The owner is nice and helpful. Much recommend :)

I recently stayed and was very pleased with the experience. The apartment was clean, spacious, and had all the essential amenities. The location was excellent, close to west nanjing road, making it convenient to get around.

The room is clean and exactly as in the picture. It is only 200 meters from metro line 2. Most importantly, it is opposite Starbucks Reserve Shanghai. I dare say that the room is in a very good location, very convenient, and most importantly, the owner of the room provides very good service. I am very impressed. If I have a chance to travel again, I will definitely stay here.

Was unpleasant experience. We reached this house in late night. Would need to walk from main road to the alleys to reach. Upon reaching, the whole building was dark. Imagine with a family with 2 young kids and an elderly. Tried to message the owner but can’t speak English. Spoke in broken mandarin and he asked to use WeChat. Luckily managed to install. He then informed that is not the house but correct address given. He arranged Didi ehailing which we had to walk back out from the alley to main road to get the car. Laundry powder not given. Need to walk out nearest grocery shop to purchase. The different house is accessible through alleys which needed to pass by a rubbish dump.

1. The building is old but the homestay is clean and bright, with a convenient location. 2. The service is excellent. Customer support is highly responsive and accommodating. For example, when the ceiling light in one of our rooms malfunctioned on the day 1 when we went in, we contacted customer service via WeChat, and they promptly sent someone to fix it. Additionally, when we requested a late check-out at 1 PM to coincide with our airport transfer, they graciously accommodated us. We really appreciated this level of service. 3. Toilet is old but average clean, the shared toilet and the master bedroom's bathroom had poor ventilation, leading to small flies due to the humidity. The master bathroom has a bathtub, and since we had to shower in it, the floor became quite slippery, almost causing us to slip several times. It would be great if the landlord could improve this. 4. Toiletries and a hair dryer were provided, and a stand steamer was made available upon request prior to our arrival. Overall, we were satisfied with the prompt service and responsiveness, though the condition of the building and some issues with the bathroom need improvement.

The location is very strategic to subway station. Easy to find it. The facilities inside the house is complete. U can cook as well. The host is nice and fast respond. U also can wash ur own clothes here. U will have a feeling like native shanghai if u stay here😁

A really cute appartement and in a good location, fully equipped, and the service was good they helped us in any problem we face, but it need to be more cleaned ( a lot of dust and spider) and the neighbours are noisy.

I spent two weeks there. The place is really well situated, the Nanjing West road metro exit 12 is really near, you just need to walk 1min. About the room, it is good enough for 1 pers, two person would be ok but a bit tiny. there is all you need, washing machine, microwave and fridge. Also there is TV on the wall than you can enjoy. i recommend

Room clean but a bit inconvenient to carry the luggage to upstairs. The response from owner very well.easy to be contacted by using WeChat. I want to complain the kettle not so well to be used, she instantly give me a new one and 12 bottles of water. Thanks. Only not so good for me who like to order delivery of food. During night, it’s inconvenient to be delivered

The room is incredible amazing, super clean. Located in the great location, close to Metro station, Xintiandi and many shopping malls nearby. The homestay owner are really nice, you can contact them via wechat app. Highly recommended to stay in this place, I will definitely book this hostel again and again for my next trip to Shanghai ❤️

Cozy place at a good location. Clean and comfortable. Short walk to convenience stores, Nanjing West metro and shopping area. Staying where locals are neighbours. Definitely will be my choice for return trip. Responsive host. Only issue is the dark alley walking to door entrance.
