I had an excellent experience and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was lovely - spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. Tommy Ma handled my check-in and was incredibly friendly and hospitable. His top-notch customer service really made me feel welcome. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again during my future visits. The entire staff provided five-star service that made my trip remarkable. I cannot recommend this hotel enough for travelers looking for a fantastic place to stay.

Selected the hotel as a trip.com diamond member and was offered to be given the benefit of accessing the hotel lounge which turned out to be a disappointment as the so called happy hour had nothing much except a couple of plates of snacks and some drinks. The lounge service is pretty ordinary, staff there were kind of so bored standing round. This is a total gimmick from both the hotel and Trip.com . However, the breakfast was good with a nice range of selections and decent service. Overall, the hotel amenities are starting to look dated and tired and the pool was tiny with the surrounding facilities look also a bit shabby. The 5 star status remain to be challenged.

Breakfast not good, limited selections, coffee machine not working properly, even then only expresso and americano available. Services not good as well, staff talking to each other most of the time. Room facilities, like bed, sofa and bathroom are old and rundown.

When we arrived our room was sold out, so the hotel upgraded us for free and ensured we were happy and looked after. Fantastic location in the city, amazing room and a great trip. Will most definitely book again.

Smooth check in, front desk answered all the questions I had. Hotel staff and cleaners were friendly. After coming back from a long day it was a good surprise that they gifted me mousepad after seeing I had a laptop for work. Asked for late checkout due to circumstances and got that smoothly as well, lady was also very polite. I would recommend this hotel from my experience

I went to Shanghai on a business trip with my husband and took my kids to visit Shanghai. The Hanting Dagu store is close to the People's Square and has convenient transportation and subway. The double beds are put together, which is spacious for a family of three. The bathroom is also clean and the price/performance ratio is OK.

While it’s a little off the main attraction street, it’s a peaceful neighborhood. Hotel is clean, and staff ever so friendly. Right in front of the hotel, there are rental bicycles readily available. There’s a supermarket and fresh food market stalls just beside the hotel. I appreciate the laundry room - they have iron, steamer, hangers, washer, dryer, detergent too - brilliant really.

I booked a deluxe double room. The room I stayed in was not big. It is understandable that land is very expensive in Shanghai. The location of the hotel is very good. It is convenient to go everywhere. The lobby is not big but clean and tidy. The bathroom and bathroom in the room are okay. It is equipped with a smart toilet. The hot water has great pressure and temperature all day long. There is no peculiar smell in the bathroom, but there are some small flying insects. The air conditioning is very powerful, and the view outside the window is also good. I stayed for four nights and felt no noise. I had a good rest. The front desk staff was kind. I didn't expect that breakfast was McDonald's and there was laundry and drying services. The late check-out service was a bit reluctant, but we still delayed check-out until 2pm.

Excellent hotel. Nice room (photos are accurate). Fast elevator. Breakfast limited choice; I prefer to go out for breakfast. I've been using this hotel for business travel as well as personal travel with my family. Metro access within easy walking distance (5-10min). Xiantiandi and HuaiHai Road on walking distance for great variety of restaurants and shops. Friendly service desk. Special thanks this stay to Tina Tao!

This hotel was a great find! This was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in while living in Asia. Walking distance between two subway stations and in an area with a large array of restaurants and shops, the location is great. The staff was welcoming and spoke English. Although they follow city laws and don’t put some of the amenities in rooms any more, they are available for taking in the lobby. Unfortunately, there was hair on the floor and towels, thus the reason for the low score in cleanliness. I would definitely recommend the hotel and will stay here again next time I’m in Shanghai.

A very special stay experience has always said that Shanghai's characteristics are old bungalows, especially the famous old residences on Nanchang Road. The floor height is very high and comfortable. The place is quite nice. Everything is new and in good condition. There are some minor things like scratches on the walls and the floor wasn’t quite clean I would say, but overall it’s much better than most places. They could put some useful things in the rooms, like shoehorns, or bottle openers, and it would be just great. I mean, you put a sex box in the room, but you didn’t think about simple things like a bottle opener?😂 There’s a kettle as well, but not even a couple of tea bags. Also, there’s no fridge or safe in the room, which is kind of inconvenient. And please please please wash the windows! The view from our room was really good, but it was spoiled by a horribly dirty window.

The location is very central. It’s connected to many important sites: Starbucks reserve, Shanghai natural history museum and two metro lines. It was convenient point to travel from to explore Shanghai. There are also plenty of restaurants and shop. The rooms are beautiful and clean. It had many utensils for cooking and comfort. It also had a projector to watch movies at the end if the day. The information from the management is very clear and they were available to help us with all their needs. They sent extra water, tissues and helped us book a taxi.

A very nice and unique hotel in Shanghai. Location is perfect, with lots of eateries around. Beddings are comfortable. There seem a lot of events abd weddings going everyday. The location is located on Nanjing West Road, a 15-minute walk to Plaza 66. If you take the subway, you can reach the subway station within 10 minutes🚇 The hotel service is great. When you arrive at the front desk, you will be given a cup of honey water or ginger tea. The sense of detail is great~ Late night porridge is available every night from 9:30 to 11 p.m. Free porridge and snacks are provided. I will bring my parents here around the Chinese New Year, and I plan to book this place then. Really highly recommended

Although the room is not big but the facilities are complete. I walk in the old alleys every day to experience the life of old Shanghai. There are many places to eat in the surroundings, all with the taste of old Shanghai. It’s a short walk from People’s Square, and there is a grandmother who sells jasmine bracelets and magnolia flowers on the flyover not far from the entrance of the lane. The landlord is super enthusiastic. In the event of a typhoon, the landlord sent a message to remind us to be safe when traveling! Will come again in the future! Stay here again
