This boutique hotel has good atmosphere, in a convenient location, door man we very attentive, breakfast could be a little better, staff at breakfast could be a little more on the look out customer calls.

Could see the hotel's basically remants of some classy types in the past (the building and bathroom etc.) but not sure re value for money/friendlieness, was given a room on the first floor (cathay gardens, or the low south building) with view completely blocked by walls. Staff in reception/cafeteria all very businesslike. To be fair it might have felt a harsh contrast coz visited after disneyland. Still, would try tower or other nearby hotels if visiting shanghai next time

Our stay was pleasant and most of the staff were very helpful & friendly. They will greet us whenever we walked pass. Too bad we did not have the chance to enjoy the facilities and dine in the hotel. One feedback I had was during our check-in day on 28 Feb 2024. We were not sure if we had arrived at the right hotel as we do not know the hotel's Chinese name. It was raining and I wanted to alight & make a quick check with an older porter at the hotel entrance/drop-off point. When I asked the older porter ”这里是不是 Okura Garden Hotel?” He just brushed me aside and said ”不知道!”. In the end I had to dashed into the hotel lobby and reconfirmed with the reception on duty. Understand that English may not be a common language for the hotel staff especially the older ones. But won't it make a great difference if the staff at least knows the English name of the hotel that they are working for?

Great experience at the Middle house! Tasteful design with clean, spacious rooms and awesome maxi bar! Beers milk water coconut juice sweets are all free! (Wine and champagne are not though). Staff are nice and accommodating with high attention to detail. Remember to check out the inconspicuous Bluetooth speaker under the TV and also the swimming pool area as well!

The building is very special, it’s obviously got character but well the inside is very dated, some of the fixtures are not very well detailed for example the shower has some screws coming off and well it’s an old building so it’s understandable, the breakfast was good so was the coffee but half of the staff was friendly and half was a bit careless. It was a good experience.

The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to go out for the night in Found 158. The hotel is only up the road from an abundance of small and beautiful shops. Checking in was faster than at other hotels with no extra unnecessary questions. The decor is a little old but that has no affect on anything but aesthetics. I had two issues however. The only mirror available was in the bathroom where there are no useable plug points for appliances. It was a fun little mission to straighten my hair in the reflection of the mirror.

It's very comfortable overall. Members can upgrade the room type. Ctrip is really great. The hotel is very clean and the location is very convenient. The subway is a few hundred meters away. Zhangyuan is downstairs. There are a lot of food. The overall experience is very good ~

I booked a deluxe double room. The room I stayed in was not big. It is understandable that land is very expensive in Shanghai. The location of the hotel is very good. It is convenient to go everywhere. The lobby is not big but clean and tidy. The bathroom and bathroom in the room are okay. It is equipped with a smart toilet. The hot water has great pressure and temperature all day long. There is no peculiar smell in the bathroom, but there are some small flying insects. The air conditioning is very powerful, and the view outside the window is also good. I stayed for four nights and felt no noise. I had a good rest. The front desk staff was kind. I didn't expect that breakfast was McDonald's and there was laundry and drying services. The late check-out service was a bit reluctant, but we still delayed check-out until 2pm.

This hotel was a great find! This was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in while living in Asia. Walking distance between two subway stations and in an area with a large array of restaurants and shops, the location is great. The staff was welcoming and spoke English. Although they follow city laws and don’t put some of the amenities in rooms any more, they are available for taking in the lobby. Unfortunately, there was hair on the floor and towels, thus the reason for the low score in cleanliness. I would definitely recommend the hotel and will stay here again next time I’m in Shanghai.

Surrounding by downtown streets, with tons of shops, coffee shop, milk tea,… Very convenient. In front of the hotel have a building full of good restaurant, one of them sell fish hotpot, one of the best thing we ate at shanghai, but it is not cheap at all, it is expensive. Rooms looking all good, smell good, and spacious. However the laundry or laundry service is super expensive, (EX) about 10-15$ for a tshirt. You should wash it by yourself in the sink instead. All cleaning ladies are very nice, helping services available 24/7 pretty helpful.

I have stayed at Youxi Movie Hotel at 242 Ju Lu Road, Shanghai, China about three and half weeks from 13th November to 5th December. I had a wonderful time there. It located at the central Shanghai and is close to many entertainment centres and tourist attractions and shopping centra. The staffs at Youxi Movie Hotel were very helpful and friendly and the service is excellent. It was very surprise to me that my room is very quiet at night and you can watch a film on the wall while you are in the bed. My room is quite big so once I had my friends came over to watch the movie and chatter. And this hotel is quite new and the my room is very clean too.

The location is very central. It’s connected to many important sites: Starbucks reserve, Shanghai natural history museum and two metro lines. It was convenient point to travel from to explore Shanghai. There are also plenty of restaurants and shop. The rooms are beautiful and clean. It had many utensils for cooking and comfort. It also had a projector to watch movies at the end if the day. The information from the management is very clear and they were available to help us with all their needs. They sent extra water, tissues and helped us book a taxi.

I had an excellent experience and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was lovely - spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. When you arrive at the front desk, you will be given a cup of honey water or ginger tea. The sense of detail is great~ Late night porridge is available every night from 9:30 to 11 p.m. Free porridge and snacks are provided. I will bring my parents here around the Chinese New Year, and I plan to book this place then. Really highly recommended

Very comfortable B&B. I like the loft layout very much, the things used are not cheap, and the overall feeling is great. The most important thing is that the location is really good. It takes a few minutes to walk to Taikoo Hui and 10 minutes to the Bund. It’s so convenient.

The room is so beautiful! The soft furnishings and the scenery outside the window are both beautiful! In addition to being a little tired climbing up to the fourth floor, it is not convenient for the elderly to go up and down the stairs, but it is still very comfortable to live in! There is central air conditioning. It rained the few days I came but it didn't feel damp. Shopping is also very convenient with the nearby subway. There are breakfast shops and bars when you go out. The boss sister is kind and kind. You can stay here again next time😁

The room was amazing as soon as I entered the door. It was quiet in the city center. At night, the bar street at the entrance of the small courtyard was brightly lit, but it was very comfortable to enter the small courtyard.
