3-Star Hotels in Shangri-La

This is my kind of place. I stayed in the 4 bed (2 bunk beds). There are drawers and and shelves to put away your belongings in a nice sturdy bunk bed that doesn't make noise when your move. It is a typical Chinese mattress, however I found it comfortable. It also has a heated mattress pad with 3 settings. The shower is a small room that is all tiled and clean, and it's separated from the men's shower. The toilets are also separated and it's a heated toilet seat. Rulan,the innkeeper, is super friendly and arranged discounted tickets to the Songzanlin Lamasery one day and the Pudacou National park another day. When I became anxious about the bus, Rulan was supportive when I texted her. One night she served a really nice tea to me and the next she brought me heated soy milk. I expecially like that there is a small garden and a outside rooftop deck. Washing machine is available for 15CNY and can be hung on the upper deck which has a nice view!

This place location is the best inside the village so I can just walk around 5 min walk from the main gate as vehicles are not allowed you have to drag your bag but it’s not a v long distance They send some one to pick me at the airport so it was easy to find the hotel Here every thing is simple made of wood you won’t get lift so be prepared for that Room was ok had a good view Had warm water for shower ny time of the day I booked for two days but stayed for 4 days May stay here again

The Yachajiao Manor was truly exceptional. We stayed here after hiking the first part of Tiger Leaping Gorge. The room was beautiful and modern. The heated floors kept the room at the perfect temperature in the cold winter. The bathroom had a very fancy toilet and shower with hot water 24 hours. The beds were super comfortable. The deck had a bathtub on it where the view was private and so beautiful. You could see all the stars at night and it was very peaceful. We ate dinner here and the food was wonderful, though we had read different. It was just right after a hike. The next day they offered a simple breakfast that also was super filling for our day 2 hike. I highly recommend this place. It was a treat in the middle of a long hike.

Very nice place, the room is big, The bed very comfortable and the shower works perfectly. The bathroom was clean but some hair on the floor, but overall okay. The location was great, no noisy at all and a lot of restaurants nearby. We had a late checkout and they stored our luggage while we were waiting for our flight at night. Shangri-la was amazing! Good hotel for staying overnight before going for tiger leaping gorge hike. Very clean. Despite close to road to can get the room at the back which is very quiet and even has balcony. We stored our luggage there and come back in 2 days to pick it up without a fee.

The location is super good. The car can drive to the door without having to pull the luggage and walk to it. In the ancient city, the most prosperous location is five minutes after walking around the ancient city. The hotel has comfortable bedding and oxygen supply. The night view of the hotel is beautiful, with warm lights. The three of them have a very kind personality. , A talkative enthusiasm, an eight-class martial arts, a handsome and polite, a this is the smoke bar in the Yiyi Village of the Weiweiyuanren Village. Wow, what a guest house! The room we had was basic but immaculately clean with a comfy bed and soft sheets. What makes this place truly special is the care from the owner. Nothing was too much for her, she organised our trips to Balagezong National Park and helped us plan our next stop in Yubeng. She even called our onward guest houses to get their wechat and location pin for us. 100% would recommend staying here to anyone looking to really explore northern Yunnan and Shangri-La.

Pros: excellent location, close enough to the old town without being noisy at all; extremely friendly staff, who picked us up from the airport for free, helped us with the luggage all the time, and gave great advice about tours in Shangri-La; clean; comfy beds; good WiFi connection Something to improve: the bathroom- shower was a little difficult to use, and it would be great to separate dry and wet areas; breakfast was good but lack variety- we had the same for three days straight

This homestay is exactly like the photo. The whole building is integrated into the ancient city. The location is easy to find, just a little bit inside the north gate of the ancient city. The street full of Tibetan style is right outside. The boss is also very easy to talk to. He answered all the questions. It was a very satisfying stay. I strongly recommend it to friends who want to come to Shangri-La. There are also swings in the homestay for taking photos and checking in. It is very suitable for young ladies! !
