We had a really good experience during our checkin at the hotel. The manager, Vivian went to our bedroom to make sure we are comfortable. When we mentioned the weather was too dry, she got her staff to bring a humidifier for our room. The humidifier help us a lot. Our room had a beautiful mountain view. The next day, Vivian even gave us a late checkout for our hi speed train back to Kunming was at 4:15 pm. The best part was after touring Pudacuo National Park, we came back to the hotel at 2:30 pm and needed lunch for we were hungry before we catch the train back. The hotel restaurant chef has gone for his break. Vivian went to the extend of calling the chef back to cook for us. We had a good meal before we went to the train station. Her service was really incredible. Kudos to Vivian for making our stay in Shangri La so comfortable and meaningful! I would highly recommend staying at Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Shangri La.

This is the best hotel to stay in Yunnan. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is rich and varied, but the price is the lowest. Because the child needs an extra bed, the extra bed is 100 yuan, but the boss received 50 yuan, and also gave 2 free breakfasts. The front desk lady is also very enthusiastic. I can only repeat what the other reviews are mentioning: it’s clean, got good amenities, but everything seems a bit old. We had some WiFi issues but when it was working it was good. In general, the service wasn’t that great. We arrived tired after a long drive, no help with parking the car or the luggage. Check in was the most rigorous we had, even checking all the flight and train numbers we took. Also didn’t allow us to take a rest first. We went on a hike and wanted to take some Baozi from the breakfast - forbidden (I found that in China this is usually no problem). However, I think for the price it’s fine and while it doesn’t look like it, it’s quite clean. Also the dinner was quite good, breakfast not so much.
