Not too far from the attractions. But not sure if they were peak hours when we called for didi, the cost for transport is slightly higher compared to other places we went in china.
Centralised air condition with heavy smell of cigarettes, we decided to off the aircond to have a good sleep at night.
Breakfast is the best thing during our stay. They served various of local foods.

It is a small but very pleasant hotel. Maynot be suitable for elderlies as there is no porter. Especially if you have to carry your large heavy luggages up the stairs to the hotel lobby.

The hotel has good parking. It is in a good location. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, and they will deliver using meituan. The TV channels are all the major Chinese stations, with CGTN being the only English speaking channel. The gym and pool are located on the 3rd floor. The gym is a proper gym and has plenty of equipment. I didn't use the pool but it looked like a proper 25 meter long pool. Gym and pool are free to hotel users. The hotel was very clean and the staff were incredibly helpful. I would recommend this hotel to any staying in Shantou.

We have been on these situation all night with few breads and drinking water. 4 AM situation getting better, water at knee deep. 5 AM water at shin deep. 6 AM water at ankle deep. We found taxi so we hire taxi go to Yibisi in Shantou Small Park (reserve to stay here 2 nights).

The hotel is very close to the small park and the check-in point Shantou Hostel. The food street is opposite the exit behind the community.
The room is newly renovated and well-equipped. The door and the room have passwords, which is very safe. The hotel provides a chartered car service to Nan'ao Island, which is very convenient. I added WeChat when I checked in, and I communicated directly if I had any questions, which is very humane.

My parents, sibling and I stayed for a total of 3 nights in their 4 pax room.
It’s a beautiful and tastefully decorated accommodation with personal courtyard and interior. Bed and duvet were so comfortable especially in the chilly weather of 18 ~ 22 degrees. I didn’t spot anything obvious I can complain about regarding the cleanliness of this place, hence 5/5 for cleanliness.
Location is perfect (5/5). Next to streets of food places that have good ratings, and super near 万象城 shopping mall (restaurants, luxury shops, retail and more). Anyways cabbing around Shantou is really convenient, fast, and affordable. Even though it is nested amongst other tall residential area, once we close the door we couldn’t hear much noise from outside.
Service is 5/5 as well. There’s free pickup and drop off serviced from the railway station. There’s daily fresh fruits delivered to us, as well as chicken soup. There’s also free laundry service which we really appreciate! Staffs were always ready to help and always ready to give recommendations. We really felt their hospitality and they are genuine in providing best service possible.
Amenities is 5/5 as well. The hair dryer is Laifen brand which is so strong and sleek looking. They provide disposable towels on top of those reusable towels. Their slippers are fluffy and comfy. They have like everything we need.
Bonus: Their residential cat and her kittens are adorable!!!
All in all wonderful stay and would stay again if i ever visit Shantou again. Suggestions for improvement: (1) more variety in breakfast options (stayed for 3 nights and felt that some breakfast options would be great), and (2) the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are a little too hard to pour out maybe can consider using press bottles.

GGuest UserI was very impressed by this hotel albeit just outside the main area of the town, a slow walk of 2 kilometres. The reception was very efficient in checking us in and allocate our room on the 10th floor. The room was large by the standards we were accustomed to in the West, whilst the bed was just right and very comfortable. The costs of our 2 night stay was incrediblely cheap with breakfast by any standard albeit Chaoyang isn't a 1st line city. The service we got was second to none, especially the night front desk lady - Suki Li and the day front desk young man - Alan Cheng. They bent over backward to help especially with my limited putonghua by conversing in Cantonese instead. They helped with taxi bookings when I could not because of I didn't have a local mobile number plus trying to use the automated vending machine which was QR coded as per norm in China. Breakfast was a mixture of oriental and western food. I was glad that the hotel has decent English breakfast tea unlike many others that we had stayed in, in additonal, the self service coffee machine can produce a decent coffee that satisfied the wife ( 2 shots of expresso plus 1 flat white or 1 Americano). The only complaint I have was that there is no milk power or fresh milk available in the room for making tea or coffee, it's one issue that the hotel management should consider in the near future. Overall, the hotel was cleaned and modern. I have no hesitation in recommend it.

The interior is thoughtfully designed, with a mix of modern and traditional elements that create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The attention to detail is evident in every corner, from the elegant furnishings to the carefully chosen artwork.
My room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and bathtub. I appreciated the little touches, such as dry flowers and a complimentary bottle of water and flower teas, that made me feel truly pampered.
The front desk staff at Shanheli B&B were exceptional in every way. She is friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. She is always available to answer any questions I had and provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and restaurants.
I highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Shantou and looking for a comfortable and charming place to stay.

AAnh-BaoThe grand hotel is located in the city of Chaoyang - a small industrial city - possibly best known for it’s production of undergarment. Chaoyang is approximately 39-45 minutes (by car) away from Shantou city center.
The hotel has recently been elaborately renovated which explains why it - for the most part - looks like it was just recently built and opened. Older reviews are therefor inaccurate.
I visited a friend in the city and during my stay I enjoyed the comfort of one of the hotel’s two-room business suites. Both rooms (living room and bed room) can be separated by a proper door. The bedroom has its own nice big bathroom with a toilet, huge shower and sink.
In the hallway (before the living room) there is a restroom with its very own toilet and sink. This is very practical if you plan to receive guests in your business suite - because they won’t have to walk through your bedroom in order to use the toilet.
I never had a business suite before but when I saw the price and the pictures I suspected it could be an amazing deal - and it absolutely was. I would love to stay at this hotel again.
The hotel has a small restaurant that offers a good Chinese breakfast. A spa and karaoke-bar are located inside the hotel. In my business suite I I never noticed the bar. No noise. I was going to visit the the spa but it was closed due to renovation.

LLinxiaoming0592The hotel is located in the city center of Shantou, very close to the Shantou Municipal Party Committee. Living here gives you a sense of security without worrying about public security issues. The path in front of the hotel is called ”Red Scarf Road”. The westernmost end of the road is the famous ”Pen Picked Up” sculpture, and the east side of the road is the historical monument Qilu Fort, which has not yet been affected by commercialization. The heavy sense of history is self-evident; the most important thing is that the south side of the hotel is only one block away from the coastline. Looking straight ahead from the window of the guest room, the first thing that comes into view is the new seaside market where affordable food gathers, and then the beautiful coastline and the beautiful and continuous Luoshi Mountain on the opposite bank. You can see the beautiful scenery of Shantou without leaving your home. There are bus stops in three directions near the hotel, and the transportation is convenient and well-connected. You can walk to the square ferry and experience the romantic sea view for only one dollar. This stay experience is excellent. If I have the opportunity to travel to Shantou next time, this hotel will still be my top choice.

The hotel is very close to various attractions. Turn left after leaving the hotel and walk two steps, and you will reach the Xinghuaqiao East Bus Station. The bus routes extend in all directions! Both sides of the bus stop are densely packed with bus routes, which is great!
If you take a taxi, it is almost the starting price to go to various places, which is extremely convenient! It only costs 14 to 16 to go to Wanda and MixC.
And there are three different brands of shared electric vehicles at the entrance of the hotel that can be scanned and ridden, which is extremely convenient!
Especially in such a location, it can still give such a cheap price! It even provides a buffet breakfast! My God! What else can I say about this～～😘😘😘Love it!
There is a rice noodle shop, a fruit shop, a pig's trotter rice, and a convenience store across the road from the hotel, which is very convenient.
When I saw those bad reviews before booking, I was wondering, it’s impossible, Jinjiang Star can’t be like this. But when I arrived and took a look, I immediately understood... Please... Either the competitors deliberately made bad reviews due to vicious competition, or the people have hardly traveled... It depends on the situation if they are pretentious... 😂Everything they provide is very standard, in a very expensive scenic area, and the room rate is 100 yuan, isn’t that enough? They can’t possibly lose money to provide the facilities of a luxury suite😂😂😂😂, the buffet breakfast alone is worth more than 40 yuan.

Mmerusoncity boutique hotel is conveniently located very near to the zhongshan park, 1km from the river and 1.6km from the shantou old city. there are many delicious eateries in the area. the hotel environment is quiet especially the rooms in the inner ring. there is a washing machine and detergent for free usage. drying in the aircon room takes about a day or two. if the weather permits, you can go up to the roof to dry your clothes. front desk and housekeeping does a good job and are polite and helpful. wifi is very fast. the bed is very comfortable. the room is spacious. i like the wooden floor in the room, cleaner than carpet. the corridor is carpeted, so dirt under your shoes is trapped outside and the sound of footsteps is minimized. i enjoyed my one month stay here.

GGuest UserReally nice apartment, it works like Airbnb in Europe. You rent an apartment, get a code by WeChat to enter the flat. Our flat had amazing view with no obstacles on the beach and sea. The greatest thing was that one of the beds was next to the window with the view. There was air conditioning in each room. There were two bathrooms, two bedrooms, loggia, small living room with kitchen (kettle, microwave). The location was next to the beach, next to a lot of restaurants and next to the statue of Tropic of Cancer. The flat could be more clean, but it was ok. The mattress was really hard, so you need to like that. The shop is in the building on 1 floor. I think this was the best place in this beach town.

GGuest UserOn the third day, I stayed in the deluxe sea view room of the Lavande Hotel. In the room, you can have a panoramic view of the coastline, the boats moored in the harbor, and the calm sea level is covered with a faint ripple, which makes people suddenly feel refreshed. Lavande Hotel is across the road from Shantou Sea Viewing Long Profile. The seaside running track makes me very happy to run. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the ferry terminal, and it takes 2 yuan to go back and forth to the opposite pier.
