"I've been to Shantou three times, always exploring the old town and trying out Chenghai's delicious food🍜. But accommodation was always an afterthought… I never expected that staying at the [Shantou Junhua Haiyi Hotel] this time would be so comfortable and relaxing. I also discovered so many pleasant surprises nearby, I'm already planning my next visit!💖 Even though it's an older five-star hotel, it doesn't show its age at all. The service is still attentive and thoughtful, with care evident in every detail.💕 🛏️ The city view room offers an expansive view. Lounging in the chair with tea, enjoying a relaxed moment after breakfast – this is exactly what a holiday should feel like🌿. That Roselle tangerine peel tea upon check-in🍵 was full of Chaoshan flavor. And the vintage Rolls-Royce in the lobby instantly transported me back in time✨. The room is spacious and bright. The design of the dressing mirror is perfect for women💄, allowing you to leisurely blow-dry your hair and do your makeup… In that moment, I truly felt: treat yourself well, it's so worth it🌸. Speaking of details, even the towels felt incredibly soft and gentle on the skin🧖♀️. The bathroom is spacious. Even if you don't take a bath after a long day of walking, the extendable shower space is perfect. It's so therapeutic after walking thousands of steps. The upgraded smart control panel📱 allows you to adjust lights, curtains, and air conditioning with just one touch – convenient and modern! The buffet breakfast offers a rich selection🍽️. My favorite was still that bowl of Chaoshan plain congee, served with 6 special side dishes. The authentic flavors instantly awakened my taste buds😋. The swimming pool is clean and clear🏊♀️, and the gym is well-equipped. Gotta stay active even when traveling!💪 Exploring the surroundings brought even more surprises🌟: absolutely worth a second visit for the great food and fun! You can walk to [Longyan South Food Street]! For a late-night snack, I went to Baihua Road and had a super fresh Chaoshan claypot porridge🥣. In the morning, I strolled to Longbei Market and bought a ton of fresh ingredients, which I could even have shipped directly home📦. It truly allowed me to eat happily and stay comfortably. I sincerely recommend it to anyone visiting Shantou!💘"

"This designated five-star hotel is conveniently located very close to Shantou Station. Both the exterior and the lobby are quite grand, and the service is excellent. I even added a front desk staff member on WeChat, who proactively offered to arrange my drop-off at the station, which was very thoughtful. Upon entering the lobby, there was an unpleasant odor, which felt like a damp and musty smell from old carpets. I'd suggest they use an air freshener or air purifier in the lobby to alleviate this. While the room facilities were a bit dated, the cleanliness was decent. The gym and outdoor swimming pool looked quite appealing, and I'd be keen to try them out on a future stay."

"The hotel lobby was a delightful surprise, with a wonderfully fragrant aroma throughout both the lobby and hallways. The hotel's style is great, and the facilities are complete. The lobby is spacious, and the front desk service was excellent and thoughtful, making for a quick check-in. The hotel also has a laundry room, and in the evening, we even got to participate in a DIY 'Hong Tao Guo' (peach-shaped glutinous rice cake) activity, which was a unique and enjoyable experience. Overall, a fantastic stay!"

"Service: Xiao Wu from guest services was great, and Xiao Xin at the front desk was very efficient with check-in. I truly felt like a valued guest! Facilities: The decor is high-end and grand. The lobby is impressive, and the rooms are cozy and comfortable with excellent attention to detail. Hygiene: Very clean. For me, hygiene is the most important thing when traveling, and this hotel truly excels in that regard! The round-trip shuttle service to and from Shantou Station for two people was incredibly convenient!"

"My kids absolutely loved this hotel on our Chaoshan trip! When we checked out, my little girl didn't want to leave, asking, ”Mommy, can we take the room with us? And the nice lady at the front desk too!” I have to give a huge shout-out to the lovely front desk staff! Knowing I was traveling alone with two kids, they proactively upgraded our room. The balcony offered a lively street view, and my kids were mesmerized watching all the stylish women passing by. In the mornings, pulling back the curtains revealed the city slowly waking up, a truly authentic and vibrant scene. The biggest surprise was the huge bathtub – the kids had a blast with bubble baths, and I finally got a moment to relax, which was a lifesaver for a solo parent traveler! The tangerine peel tea at the front desk was also delicious."

"The freshly cooked kway teow noodles and Luckin Coffee for breakfast were amazing, and the room was clean and comfortable! The free laundry room was practical, and the front desk service was warm and attentive. The family room even came with children's toys, which kept the kids very happy. It's only 10 minutes from the high-speed train station. Highly recommend!"

"The Golden Gulf Hotel is a well-established five-star hotel in Shantou. It boasts an excellent location and a spacious parking lot. It's quite close to MixC Shopping Mall and within walking distance of Longyan South Road. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and the hotel's own restaurants are also very good. If you're flying into Chaoshan, the airport shuttle bus drops you off directly at the hotel's parking lot, which is incredibly convenient. The staff are enthusiastic and welcoming. While the rooms show signs of age, they are kept clean. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Shantou."

"I booked two king-size rooms, and the front desk upgraded one of them to a suite for us. It was great because it could be connected to the other room, which made it easier to take care of our elderly family member. The room facilities were complete; there were a few power outlets, but they provided a power strip, which helped. There was a minor hiccup with the service, but the hotel management responded very proactively. The sea view and room decor were a pleasant surprise; it was incredibly relaxing to take photos by the window. For lunch on the second day, we ordered takeout and ate together in the room, which felt just like home!"
