The Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis is a great choice for guests looking for accommodation in Memphis, having been recently opened in 2021.The hotel is conveniently located just 1km from Amtrak-MEM and 21km from Memphis International Airport. The hotel itself is very nice. Our room was lovely, quiet, large, 2 big beds which were amazingly comfortable. Wish I could have taken the pillows home. The room was cleaned daily. I am quite surprised how many reviews have said the hotel is dirty. This was definitely not the case from what we experienced. 15 minute walk to Beale Street although you can use the free shuttle. Reg is so lovely and friendly and you just need to give a tip. Breakfast is $15 each or you walk over to the Sheraton, you can get a tram to various cafes that do breakfast. The Bar opens at 3.00pm and the bar lady is friendly, however the cost of a bottle of wine is $43! To be honest the whole of the USA is expensive for wine! The only reason we haven't given 5 stars to this hotel, the Reception Staff are miserable! We arrived at 2.45pm and went straight to the desk, excited, as you do, to be told abruptly check in is not until 3.00pm so my partner and I sat waiting until 3.00pm after a long time travelling. We then stood about 2 metres from the Desk and still ignored. I had to stand right up at the desk and then the young woman finally said come over to this one. No smile, no greeting, no advice, no nothing. To be treated like that on arrival is disgusting. She either had a very bad day or should not be in a customer facing role! I have never experienced this attitude at a hotel before. Unfortunately we did not catch her name but we did complain to the Manager Bruce about the poor service. Sadly this is one of the things we remember most about the hotel.

Stayed Monday-Friday. Was concerned upon checking in to discover we were staying right off the lobby next to the fitness center. That proved to not be an issue at all. Room recently remodeled: spacious, comfortable, functional, clean. Exactly what we needed for a 5 day stay. Great location: tucked off the main road near Shelby Farms Park but no more than 20 minutes from all the main attraction of Memphis. Had to ask a few questions and the front desk agent was extremely kind. The only reasons for 4 instead of 5 is 1) the pool was closed “until further notice” for renovations but saw none even in progress and 2) the breakfast was pretty awful and just got worse as the week went on. Very limited selection and all heavy food (biscuits, cinnamon rolls, bagels, ect). However just went over to the Kroger and got cereal and bread so no big deal.

Good breakfast, free parking, is in the hotel yard, safer. I didn't ask if I could have an extra bed. I should be able to take my child. Hotel location is close to the airport, very convenient.

I want to say thank you for an amazing time that we had at your facility. The staff were amazing and polite and helpful. My children and I all enjoyed the breakfast that was set up in the morning. Staff was very helpful with providing supplies needed that we forgot. I would recommend this for families at any given time it was clean friendly and amazing.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Front desk lady is very nice. Slow check in because she was the only one working. She did the best she could. Ambience was terrible in the lobby. Half the lights were not on, the TV was turned off, and the restaurant and bar were closed due to being short staffed. One of the reasons I picked this place was because of the convenience of having a restaurant on site. They should’ve had something posted on the IHG app so I would’ve had a heads up. I would stay here again for the rooms but would definitely consider other options that are in the same price range.
