Hotels near The SGH Museum in Singapore

I was very happy with my stay here, the location ever so slightly out of some of the main tourist areas was close to three MRTs and very quiet. So much so that I slept for twelve hours = jetlag. James on the front desk was very helpful, running down the street after me when I stupidly left my passport behind.

Overall, despite its old furniture, I like the hotel. However there are some rooms that are smaller especially those with xx9 ending. However since there were any rooms available, they fulfilled my request to change the room. If you ride MRT, you can stop at Havelock to reach the hotel. I love the location since it is not too crowded but still near to some facilities.

I have never stayed in such a small room for the price across the 10 countries I have visited. This room consists of a mattress on the floor in about a 6ft x 6ft space. It has a kettle/jug with a cup and 1 tea bag supplied, I hate tea so was not impressed that they didn't even have a simple coffee sachet included, especially for the price of the room. I don't know how the bathroom passed building regulations when you cannot sit on the toilet due to it being turned sideways and 6 inches from the wall, prepare to ride side-saddle if you want to use it. I am only a slim person, so if you are not a slim person you will have great difficulty in using the toilet or even having a shower. I tried to take photos of the bathroom but it is just so small I had trouble doing that. They have escalators that do not work, so be prepared to carry your luggage up stairs. They need to invest in a vacuum cleaner and a broom because you can see the floors throughout the hotel are not vacuumed and the entry foyer is not swept. It really looks like the owners don't care anymore, and are just maximizing their profits from tourists That is the impression I got, especially when there was a family demanding a refund and not happy with the hotel. If it wasn't for the above issues, this place would have got a better rating from me, but a hotel that is diminishing with no money being spent on it will always turn into something people do not rate well. I would never stay again simply due to the bathroom being so small with a toilet you have to sit sideways on to use, and escalators that do not function forcing one to have to climb the escalator stair with their luggage.

The hotel is at the very good location. It is very close to Singapore River sidewalk and MRT Havelock station. The facilities are little bit old, but the room is spacious. Will book it again when I am back to the town.

It was an amazing three days in Singapore, and many thanks to the staff of this cozy hotel who provided us with the best room. It was our favorite roof with a stunning view of the city. Being in the city center, we did not hear the noise of the city. Very clean around, no one bothers and very close to the metro, for those who came to get acquainted with the city - this is the perfect place!

Dear M Hotel, I would like to express my feeling of satisfaction/gratitude toward Miss Jia Yi and the manager in resolving the issue I had over the stay quickly. My relative who works in F&B recommended the hotel for our stay in Singapore which we decided to follow through for 4days 3 nights. But perhaps due to a misunderstanding/misinformation during the checking in, we were not informed much about how to use room’s facilities e.g., a room make-up function, a policy regarding bed sheet and towels + the TV remote control was out of battery. I didn’t realize up until my parents informed me about it. I was upset and went to express my dissatisfaction to the reception while Miss Jia Yi was on her shift. She handled my complaint professionally, quickly noted down the issues and asked the maids to make up our rooms everyday onward. Without the explanation, the room-make up function is a little hard to use (I previously assumed the maid would come in normally). Anyway, I want to compliment the staff for their professionalism, not just in resolving our in-room situation but also for handing my negative emotion perfectly. With that being said, our stay at M Hotel was overall good and we wouldn’t mind coming back again. The location is perfect near the China town, MBS and not too far from Orchard Road. I have asked for late check out at 12pm. But we went for swimming at 11am and our door card cannot be used at the lift. We were stuck at the lobby for 15min. The hotel staff could not reactivate the door card and I have to tell them to use their staff card to access our rooms.

Good hotel but room will be a bit smaller than you think. They only give body towels (no facial or hand towel) and do not have “do not disturb” sign

Location is convenient with tons of good food and drinks nearby. The pod is not soundproof so got to keep quiet at all times so as not to disturb other travellers. There’s Netflix in the pod so it is a time to chill. Remember to bring your headphones as the TV does not comes with speaker.

Picked this hotel for the spacious room and bed, but could do with a bigger tv..location was not the best as there was barely food options nearby. Have to take a short walk to robertsonquay area for the nearest dining option! But the bus stops right outside the hotel does takes you to many places. A basic hotel but definitely value for money!
