Place was for most part clean and well maintained. They did offer breakfast in the morning, but the room was so hot we ended up eating outside.

One of two places to stay in Skowhegan, both 'on the main drag,' relatively close to downtown, and with similar pricing. As their photo shows, has a nice park-like treed lawn to set the rooms off from the busy road. Rooms decent size, beds OK, internet good, continental breakfast minimal but sufficient. Two nice features: they had 'car rags' on hooks by the posts out front, so you could wipe down your car windows, and an ice machine was conveniently located within the corner laundry room.

Room was cozy. Bed fantastic. Clean. Well managed. Would go back in a flash. Staff was as good as gold. Close to downtown. Traffic accessible. Shopping areas nearby. Breakfast was available at lounge area next to office.

We were on our way to Quebec, and just needed a midrange lodging for one night. We found the Belmont Motel, and were greeted cordially by the manager. The room and bathroom were clean, and if you wanted to sit outside, there were a couple of chairs and a small table. The only problem was that though there was a sign in the room stating that you could only smoke 200 feet away from the motel, people were smoking in their chairs right near our room. It was bothersome as we don’t smoke, but it didn’t really affect our overall experience there. Breakfast was ample, and we were full when we left. Easy checkout; great price.
