Hotels Near Haymill Valley in Slough

Despite making life difficult during my trip as work stresses spilled over into my stay, the staff was the nicest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel. They were always friendly and asked how my stay was going every time I walked in the door. They also were able to recommend places to get any type of meal that we needed as well. Exceptional service. Exceptional environment, clean and always tidy.

Thank you to the team (Aysha, Faisal, Anamika and Sharon) who were super helpful and had great energy. I had a problem with the toilet in the bathroom of my first room allocated and the matter was dealt with by Ayhsha and Faisal so swiftly and in descretion that it was hardly a bother. I also got given a complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience which was hot, tasty and so much choice. Out of the three Travelodges I have stayed this week and not just because on what I have recieved but from the humble and jovial nature of the staff, I think Maidenhead wins for me. Thanks to all! I will be back!

Stayed here for a few nights whilst on a course, the hotel is very comfortable and decorated well. The room had a good bed, good size TV and walk in shower. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were professional and friendly. The pool and spa looked amazing, only negative was the temperature of the steam room and sauna was so high it takes your face off, too uncomfortable to stay in for more than 1 minute,

Upon arriving at the hotel i was quickly checked in and upgraded to a better room on a high floor with a view. The hotel is located on London Road and there are regular buses to and from Heathrow airport. I have also have full buffet breakfast included in my booking and there is a bar and restaurant in the hotel. Great value for money and convenient location for Heathrow airport.

We chose to stay in Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 was primarily for convenience as we had a flight the following morning. There was some up and down mainly due to initial impression from front desk (very rude and unhelpful). Pro's - Clean room - Spacious - Bed was confortable - Decent view - Assisted with printing off paper work for our flight - Shuttle to airport is available* Con's - Front desk was very unwelcoming and rude (had issue with checking in, due to some issue with C-Trips representative payment not working; though we paid and secured room via C-Trip several day before which included an invoice and email confirmation; Front desk did not help and didnt want to assist ”deal with it yourself” attitude)＞ very distressing as we potentially had to pay again for the room (making us pay twice). - Hourly airport shuttle available but had to pay (should have inform guest, rather than finding out when we got onto the shuttle bus and catching us by surprise, as we would have rather booked a taxi) - Abit secluded

Breakfast should have been served until 10 am. We got into the restaurant 9.15 and there was hardly anything left, One spoonful of scrambled egg which I had to gather from around the pan for my husband - none for me, no bacon, no sausage, no hash brown or tomato. They did have beans!! Having asked and waited, we got a bit of bacon and some sausages that were so hard we could hardly cut them!! Then , at 10am they asked us to leave the room because they had to get it ready for something else. Our bedroom was ok but there was a skylight in the roof and the sun came flooding in just after 4 am so I didn’t sleep. Waste of time having black out curtains at the window when you don’t cover the skylight. The teaspoons on the dressing table had not been washed. The shower was nice but the water came out all over the floor - our friends had the same in their room. All in all not a good experience and I wouldn’t stay there again. I did mention all of this to the reception guy but he just smiled at me. Not sure if he spoke English!

Although I reviewed this hotel back in June, I thought I would give an update on our last, and definitely final, visit to this hotel. In July we stayed at the Sheraton for one night and parked our car at the hotel for 3 weeks. After midnight, when we had gone to bed, we heard a high powered car being revved and raced around the car park. Yes, someone was using the car park as a race track, using the cars parked there as the edges of the track! Someone else was taking pictures on their mobile phone. We contacted reception, who sent out a security guard and another member of staff. They, however, obviously knew the people racing the car and had a good laugh and joke with them before returning to the hotel, leaving the racers still revving their car and taking photos. I took photos too (attached). My wife was incensed by this total lack of interest from the hotel, and stormed down to reception. One of the people who had gone out to the car was there, plus the duty manager looking rather sheepish. They apologised with a grin on their faces and seemed to think that it was totally acceptable to them that this was going on as the people racing the car were members of staff!!! An incredible attitude. And it was obvious from their reaction that this was not a first time occurrence. Realising that we weren't going to get anywhere with the totally useless members of staff, and as by now the racers had left, we decided to raise the problems with a senior member of staff the following day. A couple of the managers we spoke to on the following day were disgusted at what had happened the previous night. Unfortunately they had already handed in their resignation as they weren't happy with the way the hotel is being run. So decide if you're happy to leave your car at a hotel that condones its staff using the car park as a race track and what damage they could do to your car. Remember, any damage to your car is not the responsibility of the hotel, even if it's their own staff who have caused the damage! Please read the other reviews regarding cars being damaged at this Hotel. I posted a review on the Marriott website and received a very defensive response from the front desk duty manager. She apologised for the fact that staff were racing cars in the car park but didn't seem to really take it seriously. This experience, combined with the non-working air conditioning in the bedrooms, the tvs in the bedrooms that often don't work, the gaffer-taped tatty old carpeting in the hallways, the scruffy pool area that is hardly ever swept clean, the downgraded quality of the Club Lounge and the withdrawal of the Club concierge service seems to be indicative of a company seeking to justify changing the branding of this hotel to one of Marriotts budget brands. However, they're still charging 4 star prices for a hotel that now struggles to give one star service. Shame on you Marriott for ruining a formerly very good quality hotel. Excellent time, warm clean large room nice looking and stylish bed comfy soft pillows, nice big shower all clean hot water large soft towels. Keller bar was easy to get to great food and the band was great with a really buzzing atmosphere the night club was good too easy music to dance to. Easy to get back to my room at the end of the night. There was a lady called Laura who was always checking the ladies and floors making sure everything was safe she even kept the loo rolls topped up! All the the staff were really friendly and it was such an enjoyable experience. The next morning I visited the spa which was really great with pool, steam and sauna etc plus gym area all Technogym equip. Then a full English breakfast there was a good selection of food all warm and tasty. The staff were well organised clean tables etc. Well worth the money for all types of groups and families staying I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you and see you again soon!
