I stayed here solo as i was going to see a show at the Mayflower theatre. Easy to find, free parking. Lovely greeting, checking in was a breeze! Breakfast time and selection booked. And wi-fi code. Shown to Room 1 Double en-suite. Keys explained, 1 for room and 1 main door for ease of coming/going. Room lovely, bed a bit soft for me but double so fine. En-suite with shower. Tea & Coffee facilities. Tv and remote. Plenty of plugs for charger and straighteners (hairdryer in room) Breakfast at 8.30, Full English with toast, jam etc and coffee! Cereal, yoghurt and juice provided also. Great experience and would definitely stay here again if I needed to. Mayflower literally around the corner 5 mins away and walk in to city approx 15mins for all restaurants etc

After an 7hr drive from Glasgow and booking with Booking.com a family room for me my husband and my son I was under the impression the balance had been paid. On arrival we were met with the housekeeper who spoke very little English and presented me with a piece of paper asking for a further £20. I advised I had paid in full to which she gave me a mobile telephone number for the owner who was taking a trip. The housekeeper gave us the key and told us our room number. Once in the room I telephoned the owner and explained my situation who proceeded to tell me I now owed £40 and that she was about to board a flight. I advised I would contact booking.com as an error must have been made to which she agreed for me to do. Literally 5 minutes later the housekeeper came to the room to ask for the key to be returned. My husband was on hold to booking.com and I phoned the owner who said if I don't pay the £40.there and then I was to leave the room. I had no choice other than to pay the £40 as my son was tiered and we were due to board a cruise the following day. Room itself was dated but fine however the attitude of the owner was disgraceful and for this reason only I will never return when sailing again from Southampton. The error was with booking.com however I was not given the time to sort this out it was a case of pay up or get out!

Very clean and pleasant little studio flat. Well designed with all you need for a short stay. The kitchen facilities are particularly ingenious. I received excellent service when I needed it. It is only a ten minute walk to the northern end of the city centre and only five minutes walk to some shops and pubs.

Was having a trip to see a gig at The Guildhall and location for the venue was absolutely perfect!! Multi-storey car park literally round the corner was great (cost £11 so not bad at all). Room was great and had a VERY quiet night - never heard another guest or any noise from moment we arrived to when we left after breakfast. Only very small issues I would bring up was there was only one large towel in room when there was 2 of us and was a bit light on staff at breakfast time but they were not biggies!! Would definitely be first choice if visiting the Guildhall again.
