Poets Cove Resort & Spa

The staff at Poets Cove are absolutely fantastic. I would come back just for them! I loved the view and how relaxing it is here.

The hotel staff was amazing friendly and easy to talk to. We drive an EV and specifically chose this location because it marketed EV charging. When we arrived we found that they only offered a wall plug 110 and very slow charging. The charger on site was out of order and has been for some time.

Beautiful setting very quiet.

The resort is in a location where you must bring a vehicle. We stayed in a lodge room with a very large balcony overlooking the marina. The lodge rooms have no air conditioning and we found the room too warm. The patio door and windows should have screens so they can be opened at night to cool the room, but they don’t. The tap water was not pleasant and when we asked staff why the water was brown they said “don’t worry, it’s been tested and it’s safe”. No idea what that means but you do have to bathe/shower in it. Bring bottled water to drink! There is no store on site to buy toothpaste, milk, etc and the nearest stores are quite a drive away. We saw a few lions mane jellyfish in the water so we didn’t paddleboard nor swim in the bay. Only one pool was open with a hot tub but the jets on the hot tub don’t work. The setting for the hot tub is beautiful overlooking the marina. Working jets would have been nice. The pool is also used by people mooring their boats in the marina. The beach in front of the lodge is pebbles, not sand, so bring water shoes. There is a restaurant on site but the prices are high. For a family staying more than overnight it will be very expensive. The coffee shop on site closes at 1:30 and their prices are slightly higher than a Starbucks for comparison. The rooms are serviced daily which is very much a big perk of staying at this hotel, more Canadian hotels need to follow their lead and get back to offering this service. It keeps people employed and it makes the stay so much better. We did not use the spa during our stay

They were amazing!

This is a really beautiful venue. We stayed Tues. to Fri., did get a very good rate, since it was off season. But we got no housekeeping service. At all. Each day we'd leave for the afternoon and put the "Maid requested" sign on our doorknob. Nothing. By the end all our towels were dirty and wet. Also, there seems to have been an outside water main leak; water running all over the walkways.

No sea view as promissed

Amazing staff, outstanding food and service. We would recommend Poets Cove to anyone looking for peace, quiet and next level dining. Our Christmas dinner was the best we have ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay. Thank you Poets Cove. Veey memorable!!

The resort is situated in a beautiful location. Staff were extremely welcoming and learned my name immediately, and remembered details I shared sour myself. The food in the restaurant was excellent as well. I got great recommendations for local sights and activities. The hot tub had low water, and one of the walls in my room had some damage, but overall the rooms were lovely and the amenities were great (I still used the hot tub daily, I just couldn’t use the jets). I had such a tranquil stay, I would (and will) return in a heartbeat. Of note, if you are staying in a suite in the inn, plates and cutlery are not provided (nor is a microwave), so if you are bringing any food, it would be wise to bring basic dining accessories.
