This is a very unique wooden Yi-style courtyard house located within a scenic area. The rooms are exceptionally clean and spotless. The owner is kind, hospitable, and attentive. The Yi mother was constantly cleaning, keeping the stair railings, benches, and floors gleaming. It offers great value for money.

This homestay is really a fairyland on earth! It is located by the lake, the small courtyard is built by the water, and the flowers on the lawn are in full bloom, as if you are in the sea of flowers. In summer, the boss will organize everyone to barbecue, and the atmosphere is really pleasant. The room is impeccable, clean and tidy, lying on the bed can overlook the sparkling lake and the spectacular karst landform, feeling the whole world has a panoramic view. We came in the off-season and were lucky to be upgraded to the lake view room for free by the proprietress. It was really overjoyed and super happy! The service is also first-class, and the butler-level service makes people feel warm. No matter where you want to go, they will arrange it for you. Contact the proprietress in advance and enjoy the pick-up service. It is really intimate to get home. Breakfast is also a highlight, steamed buns are steamed by the proprietress herself, big and delicious. There are also rice noodles, porridge and various coarse grains, such as sweet potatoes, pumpkins, eggs, etc., which are nutritious and taste superb. The small courtyard echoes Qinglong Mountain. Sitting in the courtyard, drinking tea and looking at the sky, you can feel the full poetry. Although the lotus has been thanked this time, I have made an appointment with the proprietress. I will come back next summer when the lotus is in full bloom. I believe that the scenery at that time will be more charming.

I understand that I booked a homestay online, and I also went to Puzhehei for the first time. The homestay is in the center of Xianrendong Village. It is very lively. It is just to eat, drink and play when you go out. It has everything you need. The clean room and the quiet small courtyard are both quiet and close to the center. It is very convenient. Although the sparrow in the room is small and complete, air conditioning, bathroom, toiletries, and small mosquito-proof tablets are intimately prepared. The proprietress is a tall lady, very enthusiastic and thoughtful, taking us to the streets and alleys, free. Introduced a lot of secrets to avoid stepping on the pit. In short, I was fortunate to find a good homestay and a good boss. The journey was very pleasant!

#Location & Transportation: Located within Puzhehei Village, not far from the village entrance, with plenty of restaurants and guesthouses nearby. #Room Facilities & Decoration: The room has a unique style, but the downsides are limited electrical outlets and poor soundproofing. There's almost no blackout, so the room gets very bright around 7 pm. The room door has a brass lock and key, which is quite retro. #Room View: There are many seats in the corridor outside, perfect for drinking tea, chatting, and enjoying the scenery. The downside is that if people are chatting outside at night, you can hear them in the room, affecting your sleep. Also, because it's close to the outdoors, there are quite a few small insects. #Parking: There are private parking spaces available. Those driving can park and explore at their own pace. The roads within the scenic area are too narrow for driving around. #Service: The owner is very warm and hospitable, offering sightseeing advice. Buying a package ticket for the scenic area from the owner also gets you a discount.

They are located near the entrance of Qinglong Mountain Scenic Area. There is a yard where you can park your car. There are a lot of flowers and vegetables. The restaurant is on the first floor. The room has 4 floors and the room space is quite large. We brought the elderly and the boss enthusiastically helped us carry our luggage. The only thing that felt bad in the room was that the bathroom was a bit watery and the body felt a bit damp. The wooden floor at the toilet door was a bit soaked and the hair dryer was bad. Each corridor faces the yard, and we often sit in the corridor chatting and watching the scenery. Every meal is eaten at his house these days, it tastes good and the price is reasonable. About 10 minutes walk from the downtown, sleeping is very quiet.

I finally had some free time today, so I wanted to write a thorough review of this guesthouse. When traveling with kids, I only have one requirement: to feel ”at home.” This guesthouse made us feel right at home. From booking to check-out, everything was comfortable and relaxing! The kind and gentle landlady gave me detailed directions to the guesthouse in advance (a super detailed and thoughtful version). Even before we entered the scenic area, hotel staff were already waiting for us at our drop-off point, repeatedly making trips to ferry us to the guesthouse. When we arrived at the courtyard, it was a beautiful sight—the first impression was one of relaxation and comfort. Because we had added family members to our group at the last minute, the landlady upgraded us to a family room for free upon arrival [roses][roses][roses], completely solving our problem of needing an extra room. Such a kind landlady! We also got the benefit of early check-in and late check-out (the guesthouse even thoughtfully considered the children's nap time) [hearts][hearts]. The kids loved the fishpond in the courtyard and didn't want to go outside; they just wanted to play in the courtyard. If it weren't for the fact that I'd have to work like a dog, I'd want to bring my whole family and stay here permanently! We even received a souvenir from the landlady, which was incredibly thoughtful. I'm really satisfied with this guesthouse and have to recommend it!! I'll definitely stay here again next time.

Though it says 540 meters from the center, it's actually on the edge of the town which is not big anyway. It's a family run business friendly but will benefit from an improved organisation. The owner seems to be in a role overseeing a couple of local services and uses it to his advantage. Be aware of the promises and delivery. The ticket to the river cruise and water fight is not transparent. While it costs 218 CNY at the ticket office, the owner can get it as low as 190CNY. On the next day he said the price was only possible without a paper ticket. We got in all the entrances but were stopped and questioned till he intervened. It didn't feel great to be involved in this unexplicit and shady handling. Puzhehei is rich in resources. Nevertheless with such a mentality of those in charge and untranspatent practices, it's a mixed bag of experiences. It's paramount to improve transparency and accountability should it continue wanting to attract more tourists. Most people are very friendly except some for working in the scenic areas, they looked so bothered when asked by tourists for help.

I brought my children out, just to find a homestay with ethnic characteristics. This one happened to have a lake view room. The price is much cheaper than other homestays. The boss is an uncle and very kind. After picking us up to the homestay, we gave us various suggestions. The next day, the aunt took us to the scenic spot to buy tickets. When we left, we suggested that we take the bus. The scenic spot staff were also very enthusiastic. Very good, compared to other ancient villages, it still has its own ethnic characteristics. The coffee downstairs in the hotel is not very good, and the photo is perfect. If you don't require a terrace, you can live on their first floor.

The accommodation in Puzhehei is mainly B&Bs in Puzhehei Village and Xianrendong Village. Most of the scenic spots are in Puzhehei Village, but the construction and management are relatively rough. Xianrendong Village is small but beautiful. We stayed in Zhichou Huajian and booked a duplex room with a loft. There was a bed in the room and another bed in the loft on the stairs. It was just short in height and adults needed to bend down. The floor-to-ceiling windows of the B&B face the lotus pond. It is one of the few white modern-style buildings among a bunch of Tujia buildings. I love the swing in front of the lotus pond in the yard, which is great for taking photos. The B&B also has its own restaurant, but it does not serve breakfast. In addition, breakfast coupons for other restaurants are given away. There is a projector in the room, so it is good to watch movies without going out. The female boss is very nice and responsive to our needs. She takes us to and from the high-speed rail station and delivers fresh fruit every day. btw The traffic in Puzhehei really needs to be improved. The traffic between the two villages has been taken over by the government and is not interconnected. The horse-drawn carriages that used to run in the village could only go outside. The owner of the B&B used to pick up and drop off the car. Now it is difficult to take guests in and out of the village. They have to take the sightseeing tour managed by the government. The car is also subject to time constraints. The roads in the village are narrow, and collisions between cars often cause traffic jams, which is very inconvenient.
