We had a really lovely stay here 🤍 The team was wonderful (especially Windah, Made and Yadi), who made us feel very welcome. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Thank you so much for the warm service ✨ The hotel also offers thoughtful extras like bicycle rental and umbrellas, so you can really feel that the staff cares about guests’ comfort 🚲☔ Overall, it’s a clean, pleasant, and well-maintained hotel. We enjoyed our stay and felt very comfortable throughout 🌿 One note for future guests: the website states that the Luxury Room has a private pool, but this is not the case. The Luxury Room has access to the shared pool, not a private one. Also worth knowing: the hotel is located in the northern part of the island, and there’s very little nearby. To reach restaurants or shops, you’ll definitely need a bicycle or an e-bike. Overall, a very nice stay and thank you to the whole team 🤍

Sea Shell Hotel Gili is a small and cozy hotel where we stayed for two nights during our trip to the Gili Islands. The hotel is located inside the island rather than directly on the beach, but the ocean is still within easy walking distance — just a short walk to the left side of the island. Considering the size of Gili, the location is actually quite convenient and quiet. Our room was spacious with a large comfortable bed, perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun. The bathroom was also quite big with good plumbing — hot water was always available and the water pressure was strong. Overall everything was clean and well maintained. One small thing that felt a bit strange was that we were given only one towel per person. If a place positions itself as a hotel rather than a guesthouse, it would be nice to have at least two towels per guest. Another detail we didn’t love was the drinking water system. Water is provided in a jug rather than sealed plastic bottles. While it may be more eco-friendly, personally I feel a bit more comfortable when the drinking water comes in sealed bottles. The hotel has a large swimming pool which looks nice, although we didn’t end up using it — when you’re on Gili, swimming in the ocean feels like the obvious choice. Breakfast was probably the most disappointing part of the stay. There is a menu, but in reality there aren’t many options to choose from. On the second morning about half of the menu was unavailable when we tried to order, and no explanation was given. Amsterdam - Good cafe near the hotel :) in the end we sorted out our breakfast there Overall, Sea Shell Hotel Gili is a decent option if you’re looking for a quiet place to stay with spacious rooms and a good bathroom. It’s not perfect, but for a short stay on the island it worked well enough.

My stay here was incredible, I booked 2 nights and ended up staying for 4, the place has the most beautiful views ever, the service is the best: Nanda cooks amazing food - you also have the option to order from outside but I only ate the whole time from her! She was always looking that everything is as comfortable and perfect as possible, food delivery wherever you are, pool, room, restaurant … & super nice talks! Hardi also always made great effort with my breakfast wishes or when I needed help with something! The other guys are also super nice that keep the place clean ! Everyone was just super lovely and welcoming. I had the dream dome and it was super cute and comfortable! You feel like in paradise with the outdoor toilet and shower. I recommend a 100% !! The only things that were not as good was no WiFi while I was there and some construction work and the animals but that you have literally almost everywhere so it’s just to keep in mind💫

This hotel is excellent for its category. It's about a 5-minute walk to the beach along a somewhat unkempt road. The place is clean, has two pools, and the food is delicious and affordable. For breakfast, you order from a menu. I had more than enough, couldn't even finish my pancakes. The grounds are lush and green. The staff are friendly and attentive. You can get your laundry done for 30,000 IDR/kg. There are two cats and a duck living on the property that begs for breakfast – it's really charming! They offer both bungalows and rooms. In the bungalows, the furniture is a bit dated, and the bed is made up of two single beds pushed together. The carafe of drinking water was a slight concern; perhaps they're just trying to encourage bottled water, but still... The bungalows have both air conditioning and a fan. Despite a few minor points, I highly recommend this hotel as great value for its budget.

We loved this hotel so much that we booked it for 5 days and even extended it for a couple of nights. We'll definitely be staying here again next time we come to Gili Air! We rented a triple room; it was very spacious and comfortable, with a large shower, and they cleaned our room every day. It was very convenient that there were lounge areas near the room and in front of the pool, which was great for relaxing in the evenings. The staff was incredibly kind, polite, and helpful; they always smiled and answered all our questions and requests. The breakfast was decent for the price, with a welcome drink every morning, a fruit bowl, freshly squeezed juice, and several main courses to choose from. We were very surprised that for such a low price, the hotel was so nice, cozy, clean, and spacious! The only downside is that it's not located on the oceanfront, but you can walk there in about 5 minutes, and there are plenty of delicious restaurants and cafes nearby. We rented a bike near the hotel and rode all over the island, which made our vacation even better.

Great house right on the beach! 6 delicious breakfast options! Deep pool! The unforgettable atmosphere of the entire Gili Air island and the Coco Republic Hotel. Two days flew by in a flash with the island vibe. On the first day there were waves and there were no turtles in the morning. But on the second morning we saw three turtles directly in front of the hotel, 50 meters from the shore. So the information about the turtles is 100% accurate. Out of all of Asia, Thailand, China, and Singapore, I liked Gili Air the most. Its atmosphere is indescribable. It's a MUST VISIT. 5 STARS. ”A definite rating. The hotel is conveniently located on the west side of the island. A road connects the west side to the east, passing through the center of the island; it's about a 30-minute walk or a 10-minute scooter ride. The hotel grounds are well-maintained, lush with greenery, and feature a pool, bar, and breakfast service. The only minor downside is that after room cleaning, towels were sometimes forgotten or taken without new ones being provided, or toilet paper was missed. It's not critical, as you can always go to the front desk and ask. Overall, it was a pleasant stay here, and I recommend it.

A good hotel within walking distance from the port (5 minutes walk). The house lacks daylight. If possible, it is better to book without breakfast. The location is convenient, the beach and cafes are within walking distance.

I was worried because there were many bad reviews on other sites, but when I went, things had improved. The pool was cleaned by staff every morning. The tap water was clean. The air conditioning worked well. The deluxe pool room has a small refrigerator. Drinking water is available at the front desk, you can drink as much as you like and bring it to your room in a glass pot. Breakfast is served buffet-style from 7:30 AM at the shabu-shabu restaurant by the beach, which seems to be part of the same group. There were various dishes, and I enjoyed eating while looking at the sea.

Would advise against this place unfortunately. Construction happening all day around the bungalow, close to the live band inside the restaurant and the mosque makes the stay very noisy, no Wi-Fi in the room. I asked about the issue of the Wi-Fi and they said “well ask our IT guy,” then never heard anything about it again. The staff we nice and friendly, but it wasn’t enough to make the stay more comfortable. Left a day early due to all the issues mentioned and they wouldn’t refund me. There are better options on the island. Do yourself a favour and pick one of those.
