Residence Inn Charlotte Steele Creek

We stayed here for just one night but had a really excellent experience. We were all very pleased with this hotel. Danny (I think was his name) checked us in and was really great, a very nice and helpful guy. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful. The inside of the hotel looks very new and modern. Our room was huge, well laid out, clean, and a very good set up for eating, lounging, and sleeping. I don't know the girl's name that checked us out but she was great as well. The breakfast was very good. The only negative thing that happened while we were here was that they ran out of all of their hot breakfast food for about 10-15 minutes but other than that, everything was excellent and we will definitely be staying here anytime we're back in Charlotte.

So I really liked this hotel. It had UDIs gluten free muffins and chocolate milk for breakfast. There was also a nice waffle maker. The hot selections for breakfast changed daily. One day they had bagels, another day biscuits. The eggs were edible, but a weird texture. The windows do slide open in the rooms, but had two separate locks on each window. There was a shear blind and black out curtains on each one. There were lots of kitchen appliances, silverware, bowls, and glasses. I had to put the knives in the cabinet to keep away from kids. A small dish washer in bottom cabinet. Our chairs were in the kitchen area, so bar top height, which is not great for little kids. The closet doors are a kid magnet. The cabinet lock I brought was not long enough to be used on the handles. A large counter by closet and bathroom holds a large suitcase easily. The sofa was also a pull out bed. It had slick leather-like pillows which moved around easily. There was a small table and square ottoman, which we tucked under the large desk with ease. The TV pivoted around to face bed or sofa. The bathroom was clean. Adjustable shower head with good pressure and instant hot water. Good foot rest in shower. We could hear the airplanes some, but not a bother. We faced Trojan Drive and could easily watch them going by to land and take off all day. We liked the location and would definitely stay here again. Right by Harris Teeter, lots of food places, and Charlotte Premium Outlets.

The room was perfection. Nice comfortable accommodations, however the room next door had 4 dogs that barked for hours interrupting our sleep. On my next trip I will ask if the rooms adjacent to mine has dogs. Outside of that it was a nice stay. When my wife checked out she wasn’t asked about our stay (I was packing our vehicle) and my wife didn’t think to inform anyone about the dogs.

Exceptional customer service by each and every front desk person. I wish i could have written down their names . Henry runs an amazing operation. Henry went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional! I will be forever grateful for his kindness and generosity during my stay! And a shout out to his entire front desk team beginning with last night!

Got stuck in Charlotte because of a missed flight. Quickly got into the residence inn here. Greeted by Wanda who was BEYOND exceptional, this woman literally made this unexpected layover worth it. The hotel is nice and for being 4 years old still very clean and welcoming, there was free breakfast and a pool but honestly my friend and I couldn’t get over how Wanda made us feel like we had just known her for years. We need more people like Wanda in the customer service industry, always with a smile on and bringing the essence of hospitality. Thank you for the dinner recommendations and laughs.

Our upgraded room was clean and quiet but weirdly dark, even with all the lights on. The iron was broken, window shade broken, and most importantly, the deadbolt lock on the connecting room door didn’t latch so our room wasn’t secure. We didn’t have an issue but it was a bit unsettling to discover. Breakfast was fine and staff were friendly. Plenty of free parking.
