Suzhou Gusu District Hotels

Very nice place, with an in-house bread bakery. Must try their bread varieties. Snowed on 2nd day of arrival, not sure if is common but is common +-0 degrees, with winds🥶🥶 Nearby amenities, grocery (7-11-like) shops, common eateries, bites, bubble teas, coffees, and restaurants. Quite good location, nearby ancient scenic sites, pingjiang street, humble administrator garden. Wary of Dec winter period though, several sites will be closed due to cold harsh weather. There's a nice looking shopping mall 环球188, near the suyue square, but is quite some distance away

If you want to visit the garden, it is a good location. There is a small round forest inside the B&B where you can take photos. The room hygiene needs to be improved. But in terms of cost performance it's okay.

The free hanfu experience was disappointing. There was no enthusiasm or any attempt to promote the services. Initially I was keen on the add-on make-up experience but did not have the confidence to take it up seeing the lack of motivation from the service staff, who were busy on their phones most of the time. We had breakfast at the Rui noodle house. The food was so-so compared to everything else we tried in Suzhou. However i am rating Pan Pacific 5 stars as the above are not directly controlled (I assume) by the hotel. The hotel’s service staff were warm and helpful. They arranged for a room with a fantastic view of the Panmen Scenic Area. Also, we received a surprise dessert/birthday treat in the room with a sweet note. Derrick at the front desk was especially helpful and proactive with solving a payment issue we had with food delivery and arranging for late checkout. Thank you! We also appreciate the tickets and access to the Panmen area. It was super lovely to enjoy all it had to offer at a leisurely pace without the crowds at some other scenic areas. All in all a wonderful stay and we would be most confident to recommend Pan Pacific Suzhou to family and friends.

Really popular old hotel, lots of people. Staff spoke English (which is not the norm in China). The hotel has a “theme”, not sure which theme it is (😂), but at least is not a copy-paste business hotel. Latin music was playing in the lobby. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Lots and lots of options. From rabbit candy to pork buns. The best thing is that it is included for free. The not so good part: room shows the age of the hotel. A bit dusty in some areas, bathroom door didn’t fully close. Leaving a considerable gap. My girlfriend and I had to take turns to use the toilet comfortably, but we were there only one night so it wasn’t a deal breaker. We got a really really good deal for the one night + breakfast, so I feel that its short comings can be excused.

Facilities: Because I booked a Soviet-style family room, the room is on the second floor and there is no elevator. When you go up to the room, you have to go through a very steep and narrow staircase. If you are going with elders or companions with inconvenient legs and feet, you need to think carefully. Hygiene: You have to go through a long corridor before entering the B&B. There will be a little smell, but it is not heavy and it is acceptable. In addition, the room is clean and the host will provide cleaning supplies. Environment: It is in a private house, so the environment is more life-like. Service: The host of the B&B is very polite Ps. There are many restaurants outside the hotel, and it is convenient to find something to eat; it is also very close to Pingjiang Road, Guanqian Street, etc.; the scenic spots also include the Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove, etc.; in addition, the hotel is about 5-6 minutes away from the subway station, which goes to Suzhou. There is only one stop, which is very fast. There are only two stops to Qili Shantang. If you are afraid of cats, please be careful. There are many cats in the B&B. There will be one waiting at the door in the morning😅😅

The hotel is new, clean and “zen”! They have the latest technology installed like those in your smart home. However , if you don’t have a China phone number , you may have difficulties connecting to the wifi … as the system need to send an OTP to the phone for you to log into the wifi. You may have to go to the reception for help for the login which can be cumbersome . If you are staying with friends … just a reminder that the toilet and bathroom can be seen through from outside … (approx 60 percent transparency) …no privacy and this can be negative for those staying with friends .

Got a room on the 14 level. Nice big window with good view. Really enjoy the stay at the hotel.

Struggled a bit to find the hotel entrance but had help from Chinese locals, they saw with my facial expression and luggage that I'm looking for the hotel (Tip) after you see SF office at the corner, continue straight till you see boom gates, walk around the gates and straight, you will see the entrance or at the corner of Bank (red Bank, forgot name) again use the boom gates and you will see the hotel. Balcony is cute but one chair concept, I don't understand. Not alot of place to store my personal belongings and mirror for makeup wasn't convenient for me. Otherwise easy check in and check out process. Very close to both, Suzou Station and Industrial Station. And they have hotel wines, would have love to tasted them but had alot going on (not sure if they free) but there are welcome drinks and snacks in the room

I think the hotel's towels and bath towels are clean It's probably not much better, so I think this hotel is more suitable for short-term stays. There is no peephole in the door, and there is a staircase that leads directly to the living area without going through the front desk. Please pay attention to your own safety! The soundproofing in the room is really poor. I fell asleep listening to the hearty laughter of the handsome guy next door. Please pay attention to your privacy! The price-performance ratio is not high. In fact, it has a sense of life, but the transportation is really inconvenient, and the hotel is not high-end like a B&B. Maybe the rent is too expensive and passed on to consumers. There is not much storage space in the hotel. There is no place to put things. The smart phone is stuffed on the TV cabinet and under the coat rack. It is very inconvenient to get clothes when the time comes. The smart devices didn’t work very well either, and Moda couldn’t be connected. Press the switch button to turn it on or off. Who knows whether it is on or off?
