We booked a Deluxe room, which at 36 square meters was the largest non-suite of our trip. Upon checkin, they wanted a 1K cash deposit so that we could charge things. They only gave us one card key, and said they couldn’t give us others that night since the hotel was full. When we went back to our room it was much warmer, since the power had been off. The next day we got another key. The room looked good at first. It had a room-service menu and Kleenex (actually harder, like small paper towels). The WiFi was strong, and worked with my Kindle, unlike most. We had various problems with the room, however. The safe was too small for a laptop, and didn’t even have batteries in it. The desk had a bad working position. The bed had only a blanket, not a sheet. The shower fan didn’t work; we told them about it on our first evening there, but they didn’t fix it while we were there. There was no hand towel, only a bath mat and shower towels. The shower could be better: the overhead rain head had low flow and the handheld one liked to fall down. It was hard to figure out how to turn off the some of the bathroom lights in Kew: I figured out that they’re under a water-protecting cover in the bathroom, separate from the main bathroom light switch, which was outside. They want you to put towels on the floor if they should be replaced, and a card on the pillow to replace linens. We saw a cockroach by the door when we came back to the room once, but managed to get him outside of the room. It was difficult to adjust the curtain, and the first night we didn’t close it completely so it was bright in the morning. There was a good bit of street noise on our top floor room. In the morning, we discovered that there’d been a window open since we arrived. After I closed it, there still seemed to be a good bit of street noise, and we discovered that the AC unit wasn't well sealed. One time they made up our room but took our shower towels; they quickly provided new ones when informed. The humidity was rather high unless we turned the temperature down to around 73F. The toilet tended to get clogged, and we had to ask a second time to get it unclogged. In August, 2022 their roof deck lounge wasn't operational after the December, 2021 typhoon, though they appeared to be fixing it. Their restaurant, Café Melecia, had an extensive dinner menu, and our dinner was quite good. We liked our enormous ”appetizer” of beef salpicao and leche flan, the adobong kangkong with lechon kawali not so much. They didn't have napkins on the table, so we had to request them. We didn't like their breakfast buffet as much as the other breakfast buffets we’d been to on this trip. They again didn’t have napkins. Getting there earlier helps for variety (our visits were a little after 9 AM versus a little after 9:30 AM). I liked their ham and cheese omelet, orange marmalade, and egg drop soup. We rated this about the middle of the hotels we stayed in on this trip, and second-best of the four ho

The price is very good and breakfast is also. The staff is nice. However, in 2 rooms, one has no window and the other has a noisy air conditioner. With other meals, you can pass. I ordered a burger, but it was not cooked well. I asked for the cooking well. The burger returned to me yet not cooked. In fact, it is the worst burger I eaten in my life. In fact, I didn't eat it, because I didn't want to be sick. They were about 4 servers, but no one thought to bring a glass of water.

I stayed there 5 days. They only serve breakfast, but with real brewed coffee and real Milk (no cream powder). The staff and the service are excellent. You ask for something and they almost run. They are always very happy to serve you and accomodate you in any request you have. They deserve 5 stars, but I gave 4 for the following reason : One day, as I was sitting quietly and reasing, 4 young guys around 18 years old came in and sit not too far from me. They were talking lound and using the wifi. I asked them if they had a room here and they said no. So I asked them to leave, but I had to ask them 3 times before they finally left. The manager was not there. There was only the maintenance man and 1 lady busy cleaning the rooms. THIS SHOULD NEVER BE TOLERATED. I hope future guest wont have to live that. Besides this non necessary event during my 5 days stay, I do recommend this hotel because everything else was more than perfect.

Reservations team was so responsive and accommodating. Front desk staffs were more transactional. They can't seem to like interacting with guests since by the time we arrived until we checked out. F and B staffs were more courteous like saying Hi and hello. Housekeeping was helpful. Aircon works well. Room is clean. I love the hot and cold shower as well. We love the easy access to the pool. We had the room on the ground floor which is good for us. Minor issues : - they don't provide extra bed for extra person. Room towel as well. Very limited. However, we managed to ask pool towels from Hk team since we are mostly swimming and we really need extra towels. - front desk is just until 10pm so if you need anything, you have to check it before reception closes. But actually they have guard at night who was so helpful as well. I requested a bath mat from front desk and nothing came until i met a guy from Hk and he sent one. - though the front desk was not so helpful. Other team was able to fulfill their lapses. So its okay. We are not demanding people. its just that we lacked those in our room which are basic. Housekeeping must to check on this before check in time so we can reduce our time and effort. But overall, we had a great stay. We felt at home and we enjoyed the big pool. My son had a great time at the pool. The resort is like 5 minutes drive away from the beach. But theres tricycle outside. Kuya driver was so nice to us. Didnt demand for a high price unlike other tricycle drivers. If you need good tricycle driver. His plate number is #357.

Very nice discovery. Very pleasant and attentive staff. Ideally located equidistant from the main attractions of the island (Chocolate Hills, Loboc river, Tarsier Sanctuary, etc.). Please note that there is only one common toilet block and no water point or WC in the tents (very spacious). The only regrettable point is the absence of a real restaurant nearby. You have to go by scooter (rental recommended) to the small town center where you can find a few sellers of skewers that are not always appetizing. On this point, please note that it is possible to request a barbecue with meat and vegetables from the establishment staff. A restaurant should soon open on the premises. Many thanks to Ray, the boss, for driving us to our ferry pier. We will keep very good memories of our stay :)

The staff don't seem to have any training or are all in training i.e. trainees. I found it really hard to get anything accomplished asking for ice too for ages then when I did saying a 50 peso bill for ice 🙄 the pool is small but you do get your own beach access and the location is quite as compared to the main part of the town which is too much noise and party. I really liked the rooms and decor it felt modern and clean The breakfast was ok just make sure to ask for what ever you want to be cooked fresh as the food left out is cold and or been left for long time. The gym is good but could do with some more equipment. Local shops are by the entrance for cheaper snacks and drinks

The food is very delicious, the interior is great, the pool is just right for my height hehe, the staff are very courteous and accomodating, the room is neat and tidy. It has tv, microwave oven, fridge, and most of all, a safety box for your important docs and stuff. GGuest UserBohol Ecotel is a budget hotel with a view of Panglao Island (masarap magKape in the room balcony with the view 😉 well recommended). Easy to find and is located by walking distance to the “plaza” center of Tagbiliran. Staff are very friendly and helpful. You can easily check in hassle free. The rooms are clean and just the right size for a guest need. The CR are clean and ok. Plated breakfast is included in any room chosen. Food is ok, has room for additional improvement.., and pricing is just right. They have ample parking area for guest and has nearby sari-sari store for your small needs. The hotel also has different payment options that will cater guests ( just a heads-up that card payment here will have a 3% surcharge, PayMaya option na lang kulang 😊). We are happy with our stay here. Got a family room, with a queen size and a single bed 👍🏼👍🏼 a well recommended Ecotel.

GGuest UserWe have been here several times. Nice hotel in Tagbilaran City. You leave the hard trafficed road outside and then it is just calm, relaxing. Good rooms with 2 beds in our room and a big bathroom. Balcony with oceanview. If you want to go online the internet is really good when it comes to philippine standard, 30 mbit both up and down. The restaurant has a wide choice of dishes for dinner, the pina colada coctail was super. In the breakfast the breakfast is more filipino alike, could have been much better. There is also one big minus with the restaurant, there are no chairs for babies/kids so if you have a small kid someone need to hold while eating. So to the management team, please invest in a couple of baby/kids chairs as soon as possible and if you have that next time I come and if you also upgrade the breakfast buffet I will put 4 instead of 3 In overall a good hotel

GGuest UserThis hotel is good, the rooms are bigger and the facilities are more complete. The environment of the hotel is very good. On the first floor is a large restaurant similar to a coffee shop. But the breakfast is average, so it's a meal. There are two types to choose from, American or local, American is bread slices, and the local staple food is rice. The hotel is quiet, the only downside is that it is a bit far from the pier. But the hotel service is very good, knowing that we are going to the pier in the morning, we sent a car to take us there. The price does not feel expensive.

SSergei 谢尔盖Perfect location for a self trip on island. The hotel has a nice small restaurant and coffee shop. Food not the best, but it is okay for island standard. Beautiful view of the sea and the island all the time. Hotel has two nice swimming pool, feels very nice at the end of the day. Hotel rooms is looks and feels old, not have hairdryer in the room, need ask for hair dryer in reception. Not a big problem, but strains a bit. In the case if hotel will renovate hotel rooms, it would be strong 4 star hotel. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Guard always help for park car and call a vehicle.

GGuest UserThis is definitely a secure hostel with keycard access to its entrance and to your room. Inside the room, there are lockers too but not all of them are usable. The hostel appears to be a conversion of someone's home, so there is a lounge and dining area for meeting other travellers and a really good kitchen. The 8 bed dorms must have been bedrooms with ensuite. However, that's the problem - if the room is fully occupied, then one ensuite (combined shower and toilet) means waiting. I don't mind waiting for s shower (and it has hot water no less), but waiting for the toilet is not fun. The other disadvantage of this hostel is its location - you must walk down to the main road to pick up any tricycle, habal-habal, taxi or jeepney to go to the city or port. There aren't any dining options near the hostel either but they do have groceries you can purchase if you want to do that. The free breakfast is coffee with toast & jam, bananas, nuts, oats and sultanas - you can have as much as you like, then wash up your dishes. The beds are comfy zones with privacy curtain, light, power outlet and 3 hooks for hanging you clothes. The room is of course air conditioned. The staff are lovely and organised a great day tour for me at an excellent price. If it wasn't for the location and shortage of toilets, I'd give this hostel 10/10.

JJimArroyoOne of my favorite vacations of all time was a trip to Bohol I made with my wife and two kids waaay back in 2007. We stayed at the Bohol Bee Farm and Dumaluan Beach Resort and I had a grand time at both places, some hiccups notwithstanding. I've been back there a number of times since, but always on business, and never really staying long enough to make an impression on me. Also, both times were before I got onto tripadvisor. Last week, though, I went to Bohol again for the first time in six years, and this time I was there from Monday all the way through Friday, as I had quite a bit of work to do. Again, this was about business, not pleasure, so I definitely was not expecting anything other than a place to rest my head at night, but even then the experience of staying at Arabelle Suites proved to be a distinctly unpleasant one, The bathroom, for one thing, was the kind I really don't like, with a shower area that was not at all separated from the rest of the bathroom, whether by a divider or a curtain. The water pressure in the bidet was depressingly weak, and worst of all, I left the hotel with a boil just under my butt, and given the fact that the only toilet I used for number two the entire time I was in Bohol was at that hotel, and given that I had NEVER had a boil on my butt at ANY time in the past prior to this, I think it's quite reasonable to say that the hotel's sanitation practices leave quite a bit to be desired. Speaking of which, the tiny swimming pool was disgusting. It may have had enough chlorine to burn my eyes out, but the water was still filthy with particulate matter, and it was basically impossible to move so much as a meter ahead without hitting a dead floating insect. The lobby wifi was the only wifi that worked properly; even though I saw a router blinking on the floor where I stayed, in all the five days I stayed there I was never once able to connect to it despite the fact that it was supposedly ”open.” Worse still, the lobby wifi couldn't even make it into the conference room that was less than two feet away. Also, this may not have been a matter of direct concern to me, but with steep stairs, no elevator, and no bedrooms on the ground floor, this hotel is a positive nightmare for persons with disabilities, and it isn't much of a picnic for elderly people either. The food was all right, but not great. It irked me that they didn't have any brewed coffee, and that they didn't actually have coffee cups but rather served the coffee in soup bowls. This wasn't a big thing, but on top of everything else it was really just annoying. The saving grace of this place was the service. It wasn't great, but the staff were always polite and accommodating. Still, I don't particularly feel like giving them good marks for doing something they were obviously supposed to do, especially since they've failed on so many other counts.

GGuest UserGood place to stay. Friendly, hospitable and kind staff. Accessible to Mall, wharf station and outside resto. Its just that we have no wifi inside our room need to go out of the room to have signal. But the place and staff are good.

GGuest UserSo I went to bohol for a wedding and then after the wedding we stayed here in OYO 499. I did not set my expectations high because it was cheapest I can find. When I went inside the guy carried my things upstairs which is a plus since we are on the 3rd floor even without me telling him. The check out was also good and fast. What I did not like was the fact that the backup generators went on and off. So it went on for 1 to 2 hours then turned off and then went again for an hour then turned on again. Overall I know it was not their fault there is no electricity but would have been good if the generators were kept always on.
