Beautiful complex with a jungle feel, but with room for improvement. WiFi: Unfortunately, WiFi is quite bad and connection is constantly interrupted or has problems. It's best to buy a tourist SIM at the airport. Costs around €18 with unlimited 5G for 15 days (dtac). We had a Manor room. Unfortunately, the air conditioning didn't cool properly, and even three attempts by the technician didn't bring any improvement. So it was quite warm at night. It wasn't nice to start our beach vacation having to wait 2.5 hours here until the technician was finished. We were offered a change to 2 other Manors, but the air conditioning didn't cool any better there either. The rooms are very thin due to the connecting door, which is particularly unpleasant with louder neighbors (unfortunately we stayed there for 3 nights). Overall, the room was clean and tidy, but a bit dated. The shower head is screwed on tightly like in a swimming pool, which is no longer up to date. (Rain shower or at least hand shower would be nice as standard.) Late checkout for 4 hours despite all the inconveniences 2000 THB/50€... much too expensive. Especially since 3 villas were empty. The problems mentioned were addressed, but unfortunately no solutions were really available. We would have expected at least a small compensation for the inconvenience. Overall, we had the feeling that we were "disturbing" with our request.Pool on the beach is more frequented by children and families. Sunbeds on the beach were mostly free, although the shaded sunbeds were usually taken first. The pool next to the lagoon is adults only and quite quiet, beautifully embedded in the complex.Very nice beach and great sunsets. Not too busy. Breakfast very good and a large selection. Bar and evening restaurant are nice on the beach, but we didn't use them because of the higher prices. Tip: Andalay bar to the left of the beach or particularly good: Family Bar right next to the hotel entrance! We would rent a scooter again. (200 Baht a day). We explored a lot with it, including Takua Pa Old Town, a golden Wat (Wat Khongkha Phimut - no tourists), Ban Dok Daeng monastery, the big Buddha of Khao Lak and much more.
