Takua Pa Hotels with Swimming Pools

I booked a regular room for 1,400 RMB a night on Ctrip. FOOD: The food was really unpalatable. I ordered three dishes in the picture and took a bite of each one. The taste was wrong and it was very unpalatable! The free bread basket was thought to be moldy. Papaya salad, whoever eats it will be disappointed. Checked in and waited 25 minutes. There is no service at all. There were not many guests on the day I checked in. I saw on Ctrip that there were rooms with sea views. I asked the front desk if I could upgrade the room? Answer: No. There was a very damp musty smell upon entering the room. When I checked in, I found that the light in the room was broken. People from the engineering department repaired it for 20 minutes while I was present. Why book this hotel? Because it is very close to the pier to Similan, it takes 40 minutes to drive. If I go to Similan Island next time, I will definitely not stay in this hotel.

Stay in this beautiful resort only if you’re ready to be spoilt by the amazing hospitality of their staff. It’s located in the middle of nowhere, but that doesn’t matter as the resort itself has everything you’ll need. We took the all in package. Rooms are luxurious, very clean, very well kept. The resort itself is very well kept, pool, beach, bar, playroom. Very family friendly. Stayed here twice, both during peak (March) and low peak(June), both occasions felt very different, i personally preferred the peak, however one thing that did not change was the hospitality of their amazing staff! A special shout out to Kwan for professionally handling the tantrum of a hungry 35yr old (me). Great selection of food in their restaurants too. And when you need a laugh, Sit@Aon will crack you up. Will always come back.

If you want a first-class hotel holiday, this is the right place! The rooms are large and spacious, coffee, tea and water are refilled in the room every day. There is even a hairdryer, ironing board and iron, as well as the necessary bathroom utensils such as toothbrush, razor, cotton buds, etc. The complex is beautiful and everything is super clean. The pool is wonderful and as an alternative the sea and the beach are right next door. There is a restaurant, gym and massages by the pool/beach. The children are well looked after in the kids club with a changing offer and there are also offers for the older ones. Children from 4 years of age are allowed to stay there alone, otherwise at least one supervisor must stay with them. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The staff is very friendly and there is a lot of joking, especially with the children. The only disadvantage for us was the location, only a small supermarket and an ATM in the next hotel are within walking distance. There are alternatives to the delicious hotel food within walking distance across the beach, but if you like a bit of variety and want to stroll around in the evening, you should look for a more central hotel. Otherwise, there are shuttle buses to the nearest market and to the town of Khao Lak for a fee, which takes around 30 minutes. Unfortunately, you cannot book a Grab in this region. There is also an excursion counter and a shuttle bus to the airport, but you can also book them directly on the beach for a little less money.

Despite being a long way out of Khao Lak, (one of the last hotels, 15 mins out) it’s worth going the extra distance. Staff so friendly and helpful; everyone in the hotel. Our poolside room was wonderful-space to relax and slip into the water and also spa jets whenever we liked. The big pool with bar near the beach was also a pleasure to be at. The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious and they catered for my food allergies very well. They gave options for level of spiciness for the Thai food. I had an injury and the late checkout til 6pm they provided for me was a final bonus. Highly recommend

A beautiful hotel, staff are friendly and helpfully. Very good services and nice breakfast which is many items and variety. Meanwhile, not only many corner for taking photos but also the hotel still has many activities to serve the guest. Recommended!! #designhotel

Khao Lak Paradise Resort is the best place I have stayed. The ambience, views and scenery are absolutely stunning and the resort feels very exclusive as only round 39 rooms.. The staff have been excellent, very attentive, warmly greeting us every morning (and throughout the day) and nothing is too much trouble. Nha personally waited on our table everyday, making sure we had everything we needed. She is polite, efficient and always has a smile on her face. Thai people are so genuine and caring; all the staff have made our stay so special, Thank you to all 😊 A happy couple celebrating their anniversary x

We stayed here for 7days. We loved the place very much. We stayed by the pool area and our room was big and perfect for us. We did walk to the beach I loved the beach Bang Niang Beach. 200bath for two sunbeds. Loved this beach. Our host helpt us book snorkling trip and scooters. Booked taxi to our next stay. You can buy breakfast. Its good. Close to the little town.

Firstly, let me say that this review has nothing to do with the wonderful Thai staff who was incredibly helpful, friendly and no mistake (the owner was actually far abroad during his stay) We thought we would stay elsewhere, since two of our four visitors canceled the last minute but asked for a reduction in the percentage. They offered 2000 baht from the total of 15000 THB, which was better than nothing but much less than expected given the despair of the tourism industry in the middle of the coronary pandemic. In addition, they reduced room prices by almost half immediately after the reservation. Then, although the confirmation we received from booking. com showed that the property accepted ”Visa, Euro / Mastercard” as payment means, they told us that they did not actually receive card payments, So we ended up paying an extra $22 AUD at ATM fees so that we can withdraw enough cash to cover the full cost. But the ”deluxe 2 br villa” we stayed in was overvalued enough for what it was, and I would certainly not recommend staying here. The only good thing we can say is that it was spacious. It is a pity that the majority of this place was useless, and that the majority of this place was unusable. because it had no air conditioning to do it around a swelled and unbearable 40 degrees (104 Fahrenheit) all day. Although it is listed as an air-conditioned villa, the only air conditioning was a single, insufficient wall unit in the bedrooms in the back placed in a hole cut off by the shared wall, The bath also jumped from wastewater because of the lack of fluctuations in the hydraulic facilities and the excessive heat. After staying a in Khao Lak a few times in 5 star resorts we thought after many recommendations we would try The Oasis. And it didn’t disappoint. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left the service was outstanding. Maria, Bas and Wen are so attentive and friendly, they were always smiling and want you to have the best time. The eggs were cooked perfectly every day and always with a smile.(Thank you Wen :)) The bungalows are lovely and always cleaned to perfection. The towels are changed daily.. Fab air con too. The pool is lovely, warm and very clean with sun beds and parasols. We were offered to go on a trip with Maria, Bas and Wen to a market which was amazing. I cannot fault anything during our 13 night visit...Staying at the Oasis made our holiday even more special. But it was Maria, Bas and Wen that did it for us they are truly loving,caring, happy people who make you feel so much at home. This place is priceless.. We’ve already booked next year.WOW WOW WOW

We stayed for 4 nights with 2 young children (1 and 7 years old). We arrived after a very long trip flying into Phuket from Amsterdam. We were the only guests staying before they closed for the season, but we never felt not welcome. On the contrary ;-)Mr Aom and his family took excellent care of us. We stayed in the family house on the ground floor which with our kids was great. Really really comfortable beds. They did not have a baby bed but provided us with a small matras that we put of the floor of the second bedroom. On our request they made us a daily breakfast that was simple but homemade and more than enough to start our day. You will need transport to get around Khao Lak as everything is spread out. We rented scooter from the resort. We really enjoyed Memories Beach bar, could easily have spend a day there. Best food we had was at Krua Thai restaurant, probably best in all our holiday, so do make the effort to go there. Also easy to spend a whole afternoon as the beach is gorgeous. We took the jungle trail to Small Sandy Beach, which was challenging with the kids but the beach itself is absolutely worth it. You can also take the easy 400mtr dirt road (we didn't know that...) A couple meters from the resort is Happy Snapper, a lovely restaurant with a great garden to explore. We tried the night market in Khoa Lak but were a bit disappointed by the quality of the food. All in all we truly enjoyed our stay at Grandfather Resort and Khao Lak was a good choice for us. Mr Aom arranged our transport to our next stop Khao Sok which was all well taken care of.
