this hotel is pretty good overall. No issues at all and would do it again

A little bit disappointed on dinner and breakfast, it wasn’t traditional Japanese hot spring dinner/breakfast setup.

The hotel was good overall, and the staff were the highlight in general. We only encountered one issue which was when we called reception in the early evening and the guy on the phone panicked due to a lack of English and hung up. The staff we met on reception in the day were fantastic. Additionally, the outdoor mixed Onsen is a nice feature, as it allowed for my wife and I to relax by the river together rather than being separated.

Very good hotel! I highly recommend this hotel for transit on the Kumano Kodo Trail. The outdoor bath is available at any time, and it is basically reserved for the morning and evening. Dinner is semi-buffet with a fixed small hot pot and sashimi. The rest is buffet like breakfast and very rich. The service is very good. We went down the mountain too late and missed the bus. We called the hotel and immediately sent a car to pick us up. Good review.

Although there is nothing to see around, I met a ********* guy at the hotel front desk, who provided very friendly service. I was tired from hiking and wanted to take a nap in the afternoon, so I immediately asked the waiter to lay the "tatami".

Very good. The view outside the window is great. It's full of green. The front desk service is in Chinese. The dinner is also good. It's my first time to experience an outdoor hot spring. The stream outside is beautiful. Unfortunately, it rained heavily that night and the stream swelled a lot.

In addition to the fixed menu beef, the dinner buffet also has tempura, grilled river fish, chicken nuggets, sushi, tea rice, soba noodles, desserts, and fruits that can be taken by yourself. The variety and side dishes are relatively rich. The wine list provides general drinks and local specialty wines, which are worth tasting. The bathhouse provides bath towels, and also provides simple bathing clothes for guests who do not bring swimsuits, so that they can take a bath at any time. To experience digging hot springs, you can borrow a shovel from the front desk, walk along the river for 10 minutes to the hot spring, dig a *stone hot spring pool by yourself, or borrow the one dug by the predecessors for repair. Note that adjusting the water temperature is a skill. The river water is cool, and the hot spring water is slightly turbid and has a sulfur smell. Effective mixing can enjoy the hot spring. You can lie in the hot spring at night to enjoy the stars, and the surroundings are quiet and only the sound of water can be heard. There is a large hot spring next to it that is open only in winter, and there will be lighting activities. Breakfast is also a buffet, with fewer varieties than dinner, and it is a pity that there is no raw egg rice. The environment of the hotel is good, the experience is very good, and I will consider it if I come again.

There was a ********* girl at the front desk who provided poor service. She seemed to be a bit mean to guests from mainland China. On the contrary, the Japanese provided good service. The hot springs were excellent. Some of the buffet food was not very tasty. I give the service a 4.

When you arrive at Kumano Kodo Station, you can go to i and ask the staff to help call the hotel. They came to pick us up in 10 minutes. The next day, we were sent to Prince for free, and you can go hiking. The outdoor hot springs and streams are very good, and there are bamboo rafts for rafting. The meals are OK. The fish in the stream costs 1500 in Nagoya, but you can eat as much as you want here. The room is clean and there is a self-service laundry room. The room is good value for money.
