Hotels Near Dollar Mahal plus Convenience in Toronto

We stayed at the DoubleTree in September prior to flying to Greece and were really impressed! Everything was very clean and the decor was modern and updated. Robert, our server at the Taza Grill, was delightful to talk to, and the meal was excellent. Joseph and the front desk staff were very friendly and professional and the airport shuttle driver, Qurshi, had a wonderful sense of humour and helped to make our experience a really enjoyable one. We will definitely be back!

Currently staying here and am so impressed with our stay! We have an 830am flight and travelling with a 9 month old daughter. Requested a crib and it was all ready for us when we got here. The room is spacious, the staff are friendly, and we have zero complaints. Breakfast is free and parking is free. We will stay here anytime we travel in the future. 100% recommended. Trying my hand at international travel again, I decided to use this hotel as my staging ground. The front desk printed out my vaccination documents free or charge, and the room was large and very clean. The bar was packed with interesting people and service was good, but the burger was only mediocre. The shuttle was efficient. Good value overall!

Airport shuttle runs every 30 minutes. So picking up at the airport is sometimes inconvenient. I arrived at picking Point a couple minutes after the shuttle left. So I used Uber as it’s only 5 minutes away. Leaving the hotel is no problem as you can plan in advance.

Hotel was really great. The whole hotel seems to have been recently renovated and the rooms are big and clean. Hotel staff was very helpful and were always happy to help! The included breakfast is way ahead of most hotels for a complimentary breakfast. Hot food and a good selection. The location is perfect, less than 10 minutes from the subway and next to a streetcar stop. Hotel is almost in the heart of downtown so it's easy to come and go as you want during the day. I recommend this place and would definitely like to go back again!

This hotel boasts a fantastic location, conveniently close to public transportation. The rooms are impeccably clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. However, do note that it can get quite busy due to its popularity.

I recently hosted a conference at the Gibson Ballroom and the staff were incredibly flexible and attentive. Catering was amazing and the event staff made sure our every need was taken care of. I worked with Cathy, Kimia, Alla, and Kuga, and they were all very kind and professional. Despite there being an issue with heating, the hotel made sure proper measures were put in place to solve this issue. The event was a huge success!

Location is good. just 2-3 mins walk to College Station. Breakfast is nice at the restaurant in lobby floor. It’s also easy to find restaurants in Yonge Street, just 6-15 mins walk to North or South or take TTC to other place. You could book a Niagara Falls & pick-up at the hotel.

My wife and I recently spent three nights at the TownPlace Suites hotel in Markham, Ontario. We booked the room with our Bonvoy points, so I can’t comment on price. Markham is a suburb about 15 miles north of Toronto. We picked this location since it was near relatives we were visiting. It’s located on a fairly busy highway with various commercial businesses nearby. There is a Chinese restaurant (QJD Peking Duck), which we did not visit, on the first floor. The thirteen-story building actually holds two Marriott properties: Courtyard by Marriott on floors 2 - 8 and TownPlace on floors 9 - 14. The registration desk serves both hotels. The lobby has several areas for socializing. There also is a Bistro/Bar area. Conference rooms, a business center and a spa are off to the side. A fitness center and indoor pool are on the lower level. Wifi is free. Surprisingly, parking is not. Signs say that it costs $6 Canadian per day to park in the attached multi-level garage, but we apparently were not charged. Check-in was courteous and efficient. You need your keycard to access the elevator. TIP: There is no 13th floor; the elevator buttons go from 12 to 14! We were assigned room 915. TIP: the room was almost across the hall from the ice machine and one wall of the room directly abutted the elevator bank. While the noise was neglible, you might want to keep this in mind if you’re a very light sleeper. The room was clean and decorated in what I would call ikea style. It was like living in a studio apartment. A flat screen TV was on a two-drawer chest/dresser. A wall-mounted desk had overhead shelving, a vertical cupboard, desk chair and rollout table. The kitchen section had a sink, two-burner electric range top, coffee pot, microwave, dishwasher (!) and fairly large refrigerator. There were multiple cabinets and drawers filled with practically every kitchen item you’d need: pots, pans, dishes, flatware, soap, etc. And if they’re still something you might need, chances are you can get it from the front desk. (See pic.) A full-size closet contained an iron/ironing board. No sign of a safe. The sitting area contained a loveseat, ottoman and floor lamp. The king-size bed had five pillows. The bed was a little soft, but comfortable. It was flanked by nightstands and wall-mounted lamps with electric outlets. 
The bathroom was average-sized. The vanity had lots of counter space and several drawers. And a hair dryer. The shower was quite large, taking up about a third of the room. There was wall-mounted hand soap and hair/body wash (in the shower) by ALICE & Co+ botanicals. Shower pressure and temperature were fine. TIP: Don’t be alarmed when you flush the toilet - the sound is comparable to that generated by an airplane commode. Breakfast was included with the room and was served on the 14th floor. Booked the room for my parent during their visit to Toronto. Initially booked for 2 queen bed but the front desk was very nice to upgrade their room to a King Size bed. Room size is big and amenities are quite complete in the room. Location might be abit far from downtown but reachable within 40 mins by using public transportation. Plus have abundance of restaurants nearby as well. Definitely recommend this hotel if you looking for affordable hotel.
