Hotels near Yumi Sushi in Toronto

Thank you for the B&B you guys provide. It was amazing. The communication was a little off in the beginning, but after talking with the assistant on the day of, it clear things up. It is a little work to get the key. They will call and give you info the day of. You have to park your car on side street, they’ll buzz you in, you go to the unit to get the key and back to your car. When you get to the basement parking lot, please turn right and open it with the fob (it took us a long time to figure it out, no arrows for direction). The elevator should be in the middle of the parking lot (it took us sometime to find them too). The place itself was clean and has a nice view of the city. Neighbours are very quiet. The assistants were friendly. Checking out: well it’s tricky, you have to get your car out first, then come back to the unit to leave the key. The deposit will be reimbursed after the cleaner sees the place (which could be hours). They take cash/paypal/e-transfer for the deposit. Just communicate with them in advance and you’ll be fine.

I actually stayed at this hotel the night after my wedding with my new wife. It was really a great experience, the hotel was clean, service was good, they are complementary water. The rooms were spacious, modern with multiple TVs. Check out and check and we’re easy, seamless. Hotel breakfast is a bit pricey at $27 per person.

Booked the room for my parent during their visit to Toronto. Initially booked for 2 queen bed but the front desk was very nice to upgrade their room to a King Size bed. Room size is big and amenities are quite complete in the room. Location might be abit far from downtown but reachable within 40 mins by using public transportation. Plus have abundance of restaurants nearby as well. Definitely recommend this hotel if you looking for affordable hotel.

We stayed four nights at the hotel. The check in was quick and easy. The housekeeping services each day were very good. The restaurant onsite was not open but there are several coffee shops in the immediate area so that wasn't a problem. The public transit was close by and it easy to access. The reason we won't give the hotel five stars is because the WiFi was terrible. The routers were old and not secure, the service was very slow and we were not impressed.

The hotel was in an excellent location. I was able to do most attractions in Toronto by walking from the hotel. The room was nice and modern and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. The view was awesome and captured a good amount of the downtown area. For the price I paid I say it was worth it. I would definitely visit this hotel again.

My wife and I recently spent three nights at the TownPlace Suites hotel in Markham, Ontario. We booked the room with our Bonvoy points, so I can’t comment on price. Markham is a suburb about 15 miles north of Toronto. We picked this location since it was near relatives we were visiting. It’s located on a fairly busy highway with various commercial businesses nearby. There is a Chinese restaurant (QJD Peking Duck), which we did not visit, on the first floor. The thirteen-story building actually holds two Marriott properties: Courtyard by Marriott on floors 2 - 8 and TownPlace on floors 9 - 14. The registration desk serves both hotels. The lobby has several areas for socializing. There also is a Bistro/Bar area. Conference rooms, a business center and a spa are off to the side. A fitness center and indoor pool are on the lower level. Wifi is free. Surprisingly, parking is not. Signs say that it costs $6 Canadian per day to park in the attached multi-level garage, but we apparently were not charged. Check-in was courteous and efficient. You need your keycard to access the elevator. TIP: There is no 13th floor; the elevator buttons go from 12 to 14! We were assigned room 915. TIP: the room was almost across the hall from the ice machine and one wall of the room directly abutted the elevator bank. While the noise was neglible, you might want to keep this in mind if you’re a very light sleeper. The room was clean and decorated in what I would call ikea style. It was like living in a studio apartment. A flat screen TV was on a two-drawer chest/dresser. A wall-mounted desk had overhead shelving, a vertical cupboard, desk chair and rollout table. The kitchen section had a sink, two-burner electric range top, coffee pot, microwave, dishwasher (!) and fairly large refrigerator. There were multiple cabinets and drawers filled with practically every kitchen item you’d need: pots, pans, dishes, flatware, soap, etc. And if they’re still something you might need, chances are you can get it from the front desk. (See pic.) A full-size closet contained an iron/ironing board. No sign of a safe. The sitting area contained a loveseat, ottoman and floor lamp. The king-size bed had five pillows. The bed was a little soft, but comfortable. It was flanked by nightstands and wall-mounted lamps with electric outlets. 
The bathroom was average-sized. The vanity had lots of counter space and several drawers. And a hair dryer. The shower was quite large, taking up about a third of the room. There was wall-mounted hand soap and hair/body wash (in the shower) by ALICE & Co+ botanicals. Shower pressure and temperature were fine. TIP: Don’t be alarmed when you flush the toilet - the sound is comparable to that generated by an airplane commode. Breakfast was included with the room and was served on the 14th floor. The hotel is about 40 mins walk from the quaint, historic town of Unionville and about 45 mins drive from Toronto. There is a train that runs direct from Unionville to Toronto. There are a few restaurants in Unionville and Markham, close to the hotel. The lobby area is a great space with wide open bar and restaurant with an impressive ceiling helix-like decoration above them. The gym on the third floor had ellipticals, treadmills, bikes and plenty of free weights and several weight machines. There is a lounge on the fourth floor, sadly the coffee maker was not working on our visit, but thankfully we were offered delicious coffee from the coffee maker in the bar on the ground floor. We moved rooms because our first room looked out across the street to another block of offices and shops, which we did not like. The second room looked out over the parking area but at least there was no construction and the view was open and bright. A big thanks to Ashan (receptionist- I hope I didn't spell your name wrong) for kindly moving us and to the bar staff- Bernice and Watson for being so attentive. Thanks for introducing us to some delicious Canadian wine from Niagara! The rooms were clean but we were surprised to see that the cupboards and shelves were open and did not have doors to them like in most Marriott hotels.

Stayed 2 nights to catch a baseball game! Cons - view was a empty parking garage, a bit noisy from hallway, just could hear doors closing loudly but our floor was still nice and quiet, and the make-up mirror was broken (so these were the only real cons) Pros - We loved it, Location is Fantastic, so close to Union Station 5 minute walk, close to Rogers Stadium, CN Tower, Aquarium & Harbourfront, we went for breakfast at the St Lawrence Market, a 20 second walk and then we also had a lovely 15 minute walk to the Distillery District. Staff were sooo friendly and accommodating! We only had one meal in the Cafe/Bistro, but it was great (Breakfast) and staff were sooo nice! Beds were comfy!!! Hotel and rooms were super clean! It really was a great place to stay, we will def stay there again!

Friendly staff at front desk, smooth check-in. There’s everything you need in the sparkly clean room even though i stayed the smallest room. Laundry is available. Location is excellent. There is a 24-hour convenience store cross the main street. The neighborhood is lovely. Really enjoyed the stay. Will consider comeback next time.

I recently hosted a conference at the Gibson Ballroom and the staff were incredibly flexible and attentive. Catering was amazing and the event staff made sure our every need was taken care of. I worked with Cathy, Kimia, Alla, and Kuga, and they were all very kind and professional. Despite there being an issue with heating, the hotel made sure proper measures were put in place to solve this issue. The event was a huge success!
