Excellent stay again at this Boutique B & B. Peter and Helen very hospitable and friendly. The Breakfast, rooms, parking and service is a very high standard. This is our 5th time and always leave very happy. Peter goes above and beyond (as does Helen). On one night I heard Peter offering to take a couple to a restaurant as raining, what a nice gesture. Very enjoyable two stay break. Thank you Peter and Helen for having us. Great breakfast, great hospitality, great parking and great location. Enjoyed your home made cookies and sweets, 2 daall part of your service. I noticed on one evening, when raining a little Peter offered to drive a couple down the road to their restaurant, that says it all about these lovely proprietors of the establishment. Great stay , breakfast , hospitality from Peter and Helen. 5th time and the standard never drops below 100%. One night it was raining and Peter the proprietor offered to drive a couple to the restaurant they had booked, that says it all. Regards Adrian and Anita

We arrived later than normal check in times but as usual Peter gave us a very warm and friendly welcome. Our room was spacious and everything we have come to expect from this excellent establishment. Breakfast is plentiful and if you want something not on the menu (which is already extensive), then just ask. If Helen has it in her kitchen then she will cook it for you. Should you wish to know about anything in the locale then Peter is your man, whether it is walking, events or how to get around. A special mention for Paul who, along with Peter, provides additional 'entertainment' and excellent service at breakfast. We have stayed here umpteen times and just love it. We've already booked our next stay. Thank you Helen & Peter.

We had a fantastic few days at the Somerville Boutique Hotel.The breakfast were great such a huge selection. The hosts were so helpful with time for all. The rooms were wonderful with so many extras including toiletries & fridge with milk & water. The location was good just a short walk down the hill to the Harbour & restaurants. Definitely worth another visit.

Just arrived back from a lovely break at the Somerville and just had to say that I would recommend a stay here without a single doubt. The accommodation is spotless and the rooms are so comfortable! The breakfasts are amazing and served by Paul who is a true ray of sunshine to start off your day! Peter and Helen are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble, help with anything is always on hand willingly. I honestly cannot find fault and am looking forward to my next stay! Thank you all you are truly amazing, hope to see you again soon x

Been going to Somerville for a number of years Never disappointed with its qualities of bedrooms and breakfasts Personalities of owners add to the overall experience, Example? Big box of chocolates waiting in our suite to celebrate wife's birthday Any reader of this review will not be disappointed

Excellent hosts, friendly and easy to talk to, they made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and tidy and we received a welcoming treat (cookies) with bottles of water and fresh milk in a mini fridge. They had recommended places to eat, one of which we went to twice as it was very good. They also gave advice on where to walk, something which we both enjoy. The breakfasts were excellent, so much choice.

What can I say about this place, apart from it's the greatest hotel/b&b we gave stayed in and the ONLY place we will ever choose to stay when in and near Torquay. The guys are the friendliest, kindest, most knowledgeable hosts you could ask for. Nothing is too much trouble- want to know where to eat, they'll give you their top choices for your preferences and budget. Not sure what you want to do? Just ask and they will work to your style. As for the rooms and breakfast? Simply superb and can fully unserstand why they are multi award winning!! I honestly cannot say enough, I could be here all day! 3rd trip we have just finished and we will be back again next year. Torquay and The Somerville are so special to me and my partner and I can't wait to share many more memories there, with Peter, Helen and Paul. Thank you so much for everything!
