Grosvenor House is situated in a quiet location close to a number of local parks and the beach, it also has easy access to a number of bus routes and Torquay railway station to explore the surrounding area, if travelling by car there is on site parking at Grosvenor house. The hotel is very comfortable, beautifully decorated and well maintained, on arrival at Grosvenor House guests are always warmly greeted by the owners Ray and Paula, they are both an invaluable source of information for visitors to Torquay and the surrounding area. The rooms are serviced daily at Grosvenor House by a dedicated team who support Ray and Paula to provide guests with immaculately clean rooms. What attracts us back to Grosvenor House is the homely ambiance, it really does feel like a home from home.

Received a warm and friendly welcome from hosts. Rooms clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast. Waitress with blonde hair was extremely pleasant and sociable. Shower takes a bit of getting used to. Parking could be an issue when busy. Cuppa on arrival was welcomed

An excellent hotel with wonderful hosts Paula and Ray. We were made to feel welcome immediately and enjoyed finding out about the area and days out from Paula. Our room was clean, tidy and pleasant. We had the three people family room. It was a good size. Bathroom had an amazing power shower. Breakfast was truly delicious. Husband stuck with full English every day, daughter and I explored the alternatives and had delicious pastries and waffles. There is a communal lounge area which we used to play games from the well stocked cupboard. Highly recommend this hotel.

This is one of the best hotels in Torquay, we have been going to Devon for many years and the Grosvenor is the best we have stayed in. Your stay is made more enjoyable by the owners, Paula & Ray. They welcome us back year after year with open arms, the breakfast is great with good choices and with advance warning can cater for many likes and dislikes as well as allergies. Most important is the cleanliness, rooms are just as they look in the pictures, comfortable and clean. We will be back again next year and hopefully with more family. My third stay at this hotel. Always receive a warm welcome from the hosts Paula and Ray. A well-maintained hotel with beautifully-presented and comfortable bedrooms and good breakfast for cooked and continental breakfast which features mixed fruit

Paula & Ray were very welcoming on our arrival even gave us a nice cuppa tea, which was very nice after our long journey. The Hotel is in a nice quite street and only five minutes walk to the beach, the rooms our very nicely decorated and very clean each room a different colour, also has tea/coffee making facilities, The ensuite is a nice size and you are provided with shower gel etc. The breakfast is excellent with a nice selection of fruit salad, yoghurt, cereals and juices and a nice choice for the cooked English breakfast (well cooked by Paula) Her staff are all very polite and helpful. Paula is very knowledgeable about the local area and gave us some great tips on where to eat and places to visit she even suggested the 35c bus which stops right outside the hotel. We just can't fault the place, so we gave it a 5* it was a great find, and we will deafently be going back. Mike & Sarah

A lovely place to stay! We booked at the last moment and had a great welcome from Paula and Ray. Room was modern, attractive and very comfortable. Breakfast was great and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Location is very good for getting to the beach and town as well as getting by road or bus to places outside of Torquay. Definitely recommend!

Great B&B in a quiet location. Clean well decorated rooms. Excellent breakfast with various choices, with cheerful service. Bus stop just up the road, short walk through Tore Abbey grounds to the sea front. Lovely walk along the T-T trail to Cockington village, of thatched houses, through water meadows. Coastal footpath, north to Babbercombe, or south to Paignton. A must is a visit to The Hole in the Wall pub, opposite the clock tower.

A very friendly welcome from Paula and Ray, our room was large, immaculately clean, with a super comfy super king bed. The room appeared newly decorated with thick plush carpets, good curtains, excellent sound proofing from the road (which is not a busy one anyway) massive fluffy towels, rain head shower with good pressure and hot water on demand. Wifi was excellent as was the cooked breakfast, both meat and veggie versions. Really comfortable all round, the two girls serving breakfast were professional and friendly too. Location for us was perfect, slightly on the edge of the town but not so far it was a chore, the walk through the gardens and along the prom into the town centre was extremely pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I would definitely recommend The Grosvenor House.
