The location is excellent, only a three- to five-minute walk from the event center and one minute from the bus station. The front desk restaurant and room service staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is not too small for this city and the bed is a bit soft. The most commendable thing is that it includes breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea, which are served for a long time. There is basically no need to go out to eat in restaurants. Especially when you come with friends, you can eat in the restaurant at your own pace, saving a lot of time. You know During the peak tourist season, it takes a long time to wait for a seat at an outside restaurant to order a meal. The variety and taste of the food are pretty good. It is a highly recommended hotel.

Be sure to make a request to the front desk when checking in, otherwise you will be assigned a bad room. The check-in experience was not very good. I booked a room with a view, but the view of the first room was completely blocked and I could only see the inner harbor. I was so angry that I asked for a room change, but the Wi-Fi was disconnected and I waited for almost two hours before I was transferred to a new room. There were so many people queuing for check-in, but there was only one employee.
The rooms are generally old. The breakfast is not bad.
When checking out, they charged me the room fee again. Fortunately, I checked the deduction text message and went back to the front desk for a refund.
I still recommend staying at Radisson and Clarion.

Location was by the harbour and really in downtown Tromso - walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Also where many tours have their pick up - so it's really convenient. Check-in staff was really polite and helpful - appreciate that. Room was also very clean and well maintained - though the toilet felt slightly dated. Overall, highly recommend.

The place is really great, just at the centre of Tromsø, next to the beautiful port and the bus centre; the restaurants next to the hotel are amazing as well.

What I liked - the location, the staff, comfortable bed, breakfast. What could be improved - add espresso/cappuccino machine and pastries , there was a sign in the room saying the room is cleaned on Tuesday, but nobody came to empty at least the garbage (there is only 1 small bin in the bathroom). The rooms are not sound proof, so noise is coming both from the street and from the corridor, so bring an ear plugs.

The best way to describe this hotel is average in every way. Everything in Tromso is ”central” - it's not a big place so that isn't really a selling point. The rooms are very small (even the ”deluxe” ones) and there are only two elevators for a pretty sizable 8 story hotel so get ready for the stairs. I paid extra to be on the 8th floor because I read the reviews about the nightclub underneath and boy they were right - I could hear thumping well into the night so bring your earplugs (the club appears to only be open Thursday - Saturday so if you're travelling outside of that, I'm sure it's more tolerable to try to sleep). Hindsight being 20/20, I would've paid $30-40 more to stay at one of the better rated hotels.

Very nice hotel with fantastic staff. It's a modern hotel and sort of designed like a ship. It's located right on the waterfront - make sure you get one of the corner rooms that feesl like it juts out into the harbor and has great views of the water, the comings and goings of the ferries and the not-so-distant peaks. The rooms are somewhat on the smaller side but very nicely appointed and quiet. The breakfast spread is perfectly fine. But a special shoutout to the checkin staff - Johannes and Torkel - both of whom were courteous, friendly and really helpful.

Easy to locate and walking distance from bus stop and supermarket. Got to do self check in on ipad and mine keep having error. The hotel guy at counter helped me with check in and want to charge me for the hotel room which I had already paid via Trip app. Pls be careful if you're doing manual check in with the hotel staff. Decent size for 2pax but opening 2 luggages was quite an issue because of limited floor space.

Stayed for 2 nights! The room was cosy, and cute. The bed was really hard though, but the pillows were thick and soft! It was tidy and clean, and the bathroom was great with good pressure in the shower! The rooms had a TV with chromecast! Also the lights in the room were easy to control :) The hotel is really close to airport and traffic, but it's well isolated so we didn't get bothered by the noise of the traffic. As mentioned the hotel is close to ”jekta”, just a few minutes walk. And it's not a long drive if you prefer to bathe at ”Tromsø badet” It's easy to get there by car, but if you don't like driving there is a bus stop for route 28 right beside the hotel which makes it easier to travel to the mainland and back. Reception, bar and breakfast is at the top floor, with lot of room to he social or just enjoy the sight alone. They also had board games you could use! The only REALLY minus of our stay were that the service were a bit slow. We asked for help with the TV several times without luck. But I am not to mad about it due to few personel and high workload while we were there. (And the personel were really nice and polite) The hotel may wanna make an easier note that breakfast is NOT included in the room (as they traditionally are in tromsoe). And also how much breakfast cost! On your website it only says when breakfast is served (and that it's free until March 2024, which it were not). We were informed in the morning breakfast was 199 NOK per person, luckily with shopping center close by, and food market breakfast is easy to acquire. To sum it up: will stay at the hotel next time as well!

GGuest Usershort version: cozy, clean, & relaxing. Comfy beds. Good food. Great for getaways. But if you’re doing multiple excursions, the drive can be draining & eat into your vacation. Staff was friendly. Owners not so much. Detailed version: Absolutely charming! Very clean & comfy. My mom & I stayed in cabin #4 & it’s right next to the dining hall. The cabin has 2 rooms, an entryway, & a bathroom. One room had a built-in bed, nightstand, windows, & chair. The other room had a built-in bed, nightstand, windows, & another separate bed with different covers & possibly a different mattress. The built-in beds we so soft & cozy! Both rooms had small, plug-in radiator heaters & they’re super efficient! There are no dressers or cabinets for clothes so we left ours in our suitcases & put them open under our beds. There’s lots of open space under the beds (may be a nice idea to convert part of that into cubbies or drawers?). You will need outlet converters if you’re not from Europe. The bathroom has a small sink, toilet, shower, one shelf & hair dryer. Toilet paper is provided. And liquid hand soap that smells fantastic. One bath towel & one hand towel provided per guest (more available upon request). **no wash cloths** so bring your own. The entry way to the cabin has heated tile flooring which was a nice touch. No outside shoes are to be worn in the bedrooms or bathroom, so shoes are to be removed in the entryway. It would be very helpful to have a chair or bench here for shoe removal/application. There are coat hanging hooks along 2 of the walls in the entryway which was great. The bedroom doors & bathroom door all have hanging hooks on them. Thank you!!! Such a big help. It would be very helpful to have a few more shelves for toiletries and small belongings. There’s plenty of wall space in the rooms & bathroom for free-floating shelves. The dining room consists of 6-8 tables. Some are 2-seaters. Some are 6-seaters and can be rearranged as needed. Soft, relaxing music plays in the background while you’re served delicious foods made straight from their kitchen, with some of it sourced from their farm. The ambience is really peaceful. You must try the carrot cake & the almond cake. Both were fantastic!!! They have several blends of teas. Coffee & cappuccinos are available. There are some lamb skins from their own farm available for purchase along with handmade soaps, knitwear, & other items. There’s a living room with couches upstairs in that building. Outside shoes are not allowed past the entryway so it helps to brings slippers or thick socks. The parking lot designated for guests is down a significantly steep hill. Maybe a hundred yards or so in distance. Parking at your cabin is allowed only during brief moments like loading/unloading your vehicle. If the owner sees your vehicle parked outside the cabin for longer than 15 minutes, you will receive a knock on the door with a somewhat urgent request to move your vehicle. This becomes especially tricky i
GGuest UserThe room has a living room that is quite big, the living room has a sofa bed, the dining room kitchen is connected, and the kitchen has a dishwasher, which is quite good.
There is a supermarket seven or eight minutes walk away. It is very convenient to buy things and cook them by yourself.
The only downside is that if the living room wants to sleep, the curtain is not wide enough to block the lights outside, and it is a bit bright at night.
OONG JesslynI didn’t read my email. They sent an email after 8pm informing us our key details as we check in at 11:15pm. Everything is so good, key pick up, drive to room and park beside our cabin. U can view stars from the room ceiling window. There’s a balcony with table and chairs, view of snowy mountains, damn beautiful. We drove out at night away 20mins from cabin and found our fist northern lights at 1:20am super excited!!! This lodge is fantastic we will back to stay if we come back to Tromso.
LL PWouldn’t recommend, as many have written Staff are very unfriendly (blond lady from reception) and don’t want to talk to you or help. Christian, the receptionist we talked to, he didn’t even want to get up from his chair in the office behind the reception, he told his colleague from the bar to talk to us, once he did he come, since she couldn’t answer our questions he seemed so annoyed. Sauna is currently not working, we didn’t see that before booking. The Blond Lady from the reception told us sauna seems to be working, one hour later it was not working again. We booked especially because of the great sauna recommendations. We asked if instead we could use the jacuzzi for a short time, Staff said sure for 500nok which is nearly 50€. We asked if we could then book the extra bathhouse (inside is also a Sauna) they said no its all booked. Our room is right beside the bathhouse and still nobody has entered for an hour. If the Sauna is not working why not let guests who pay a high room price use that sauna for the downtime. So disappointing after staying in an amazing place in Senja before and having the friendliest Staff! Only thing nice is it is clean and the views.
GGuest UserWe didn’t stay at the Ami Hotel, but booked an intimate trip for 5, to hunt for the Aurora. Pick up and drop off either outside the Ami Hotel. On arrival at the hotel we were given warm clothing and boots. Our driver and guide, Sarah, was great, originally from Wales, she was very knowledgeable and told us interesting tales of Norwegian folklore, talked about the different locations that she’d travelled to for great views of the ‘lights’. She was very friendly, and brought fold up chairs to have hot drinks, sausages to toast around a firepit and also doughnuts. Sarah drove us to a few spots and saw the wonder of the ‘Northern Lights’. She also took photos of our group which were great. I would definitely recommend this tour.
GGuest UserGreat location. The staff is great with very good advice on restaurants and activities. Break/Meal room with coffee, tea, biscuits available all day, great. Proximity to the city and all public transport. I recommend without any hesitation. THANKS.
HHOUQINGThe location of the hotel is good, the equipment is good, but the sanitary conditions are a bit poor, the sanitation is not clean, and there are other people's hair on the pillows.
GGuest UserWe had booked another apartment but for disguiding we were here. I must say that the apartment is really well furnished, with tasty and with everything you need to live there. I was a little bit disgusted at first that being in 5 over 3 bedrooms we had asked 2 bathrooms that were in the other solution. But here there was only one ... giant! We were good! It is excellent in the centre, near the supermarket, marine, etc. One neo,x we had a person with deambulation problems, the staircases x climb to the second floor.
TTitch-the-WitchThis hotel is part of the hospital complex and has tourists and patients as guests. The rooms are basic with two single beds. The adjoining bathroom was almost bigger than the room and everything was clean. There was a good choice of options for breakfast. However, I would not recommend the dinner unless you really can't be bothered to take the bus into town. We ate there on our first evening and were surprised at the lack of choice. It was a buffet with a few pieces of tomato and cucumber, bread, cheese, jam and soup. The bus leaves from the front door and takes you to the centre in about 10 to 12 minutes so getting around is not difficult. (I suggest buying a week pass at the kiosk near the reception as it works out much cheaper than buying a ticket each time you take the bus)
