Easily one of the top two or three guesthouse experiences I’ve had traveling China over the past decade. While it’s certainly on the higher end of the price spectrum, you definitely get what you pay for and more. The level of detail is immaculate: given how hot and dry Turpan is, they give you as much bottled water you need & leave hydrating facial masks in your room every day. Also, shoutout to the beds—one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on in China—and Japanese toilet. The facilitates and service touches are on par with the best luxury hotel brands which probably go for twice the price or more. But ultimately the people and location are what make this place special. Everyone from the owner to the cleaning staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I ran into the owner at a restaurant and he bought me dinner and introduced me to some local dishes I would have never known to order. The location is 🍇 valley. It’s a quaint little grape producing village with friendly locals and amazing fruit. All in all, Bafeng Retreat is a special place that is perfect if you’re looking for somewhere to unwind and take life slowly. Highly recommended.

When I first set foot in DAP Hostel in Turpan, it was with the intention of a two-night stay. Fast forward two weeks later, I was still there, completely captivated by its charm and the unforgettable people I met. Named after a traditional Xinjiang instrument, this hostel doesn’t just offer beds; it provides experiences. The design is impeccable, and it’s clear there’s a deep respect for detail and the environment. But the real magic? It’s in the people. The hostel owner, the volunteers, and every fellow traveler I encountered - they transformed my trip. From acquaintances to close friends in such a short span, it was incredible. Their open-mindedness, their stories, and the warmth they exuded were infectious. I’m thrilled to say that many of those I met at the DAP Hostel are now close friends. The anticipation of reuniting with them is immense. If you ever find yourself in Turpan, and you crave genuine connections, DAP Hostel is the place. It’s more than accommodation; it’s a family waiting to be discovered.

🌹Travel date: 2021.09.11 In Turpan Grape Valley Scenic Spot, I lived in a traditional fairy-looking guest house. Not only does it look good, but the service is particularly good. If you come to Turpan next time, you will definitely want to live here again! 🌸Environment Turpan Avanti Manor is the second stop of the Grapegou scenic tour bus. In the Avanti Customs Park, in addition to the B&B, there are also vineyards in the park. Due to the epidemic, some small attractions such as the former residence of Avanti, which have been basically abandoned, are affected. The homestay occupies most of the Fengqing Garden. There are two rows of traditional Turpan traditional adobe houses, half of which cover a larger courtyard. The spacious corridor built by grape racks is the restaurant, and there are several relaxing chairs and beds under the big trees. It is the courtyard culture that Turfan people value most. 🌸Service There is a housekeeper who is responsible for everything. In the afternoon, he called to ask about the arrival time. He helped transport the luggage throughout the whole process and upgraded our room for free. We had iced watermelon to eat when we arrived, and took us to the vineyard to pick grapes. Not only did we wash a large plate before dinner, but also gave us a large bag before leaving. The hotel has traditional Uyghur skirts and caps that can be borrowed for free. The next morning, they took us to the drying room of the local people to see the raisins! It feels like a very pleasant weekend holiday. 🌸 room The last one we stayed in was the largest suite in the B&B, and the two inside and outside were very traditional Uyghur houses. The round dome has a small window and a large chandelier inlaid with beautiful stained glass. The big Kang who rarely sleeps in the northeast stayed here for one night, and the covering is full of traditional Xinjiang complicated patterns. I thought it would be a bit hard on the kang, but I didn’t expect it would be so comfortable to spread the mattress across the carpet! The bathroom is not big, covered with colorful flower tiles, it is very pleasing to the eye, if you can separate nine dry and wet ones, it would be better. 🌸Meals The chef at the homestay cooks really delicious food, and the dinner is also eaten at the homestay, whether it is meat or greens, it is very tasty. When you are full, come to a pot of tea to cool off in the yard. Turpan is so comfortable in the evening when the temperature is 37 to 38 degrees, and there are no mosquitoes! Breakfast is divided into meals, and it is also a very luxurious meal. The front desk service was very good. When I checked in, the lady at the front desk brought hot tea, which was very heartwarming. She also proactively provided children's slippers and toothbrushes for the children. The processing speed was also very fast. I was very tired after flying, so I thought I would have to wait at the front desk for a long time. Unexpectedly, the efficiency is really very high👍👍. The room is comfortable and clean, the soundproofing is good, and the breakfast is also very good. My little robot daughter likes it very much. It is worth staying here next time. Everything else is pretty good! The lady at the front desk took the initiative to upgrade the room. There was no surprise at all and it was definitely a five-star review! Really worth the price! I gave it 4 points because it was quite cold and I wanted to take a hot shower after a long journey (but this is too difficult for this hotel! It only provides warm water for showering in summer, and I almost caught a cold after taking a shower) The water is really cold. The guy who came up to adjust the hot water was not very nice and was impatient when he didn’t adjust the heat.) There wasn’t even hot water? I will never stay at this hotel again! The boss is so stingy that he doesn't even let customers take a hot bath.

As at August 2022, there is daily mucelic acid testing in the park next to the hotel, from 08:20-11:00. Using the Xinjiang health code, I was able to get tested there (as a foreigner) and the results showed up on the app. So, I didn't need to go into a hospital. The hotel is also a short walk away from the museum and a main street with a lot of restaurants that seemed to be popular. Taxis regularly passed in front of the hotel (Didi took a while, in my experience). My room was wide and bright, including the toilet and shower. In fact, the entire hotel feels wide - the lobby, breakfast room, the carpark. The staff were all helpful, even with my poor Chinese and their limited English. The breakfast selection was fair, and everyone seemed to enjoy the food.

Very clean. The oversized bubble room has a huge bubble pool. I observed it. You can't see the small courtyard room. The terrace room should not have such a big pool. A terrace was built in half. Breakfast was very good. Many categories. Both Chinese and Western breakfast are available. Quite complete. The service was excellent. The service staff are all beautiful and enthusiastic. All requests are answered. In line with hotel prices. The swimming pool in the courtyard is very clean. The bedding is comfortable and soft. There is a small shop and a cheap supermarket next to it. Swimming rings are on sale at reasonable prices. The only thing is the afternoon tea provided. The waiter in the cafe was indifferent and impatient. There are four hotels nearby. There are three e-sports hotels next to it. Both prices are mid-range. Everyone can use the outdoor swimming pool in the courtyard. Breakfast is the same. of a group. well done. Very satisfying experience. The children had great fun playing with water in the room. The grapes from the picking garden are delicious. The food at the restaurant where I had breakfast was good and not expensive. I also experienced it during travel photography. If you want to take pictures, make an appointment in advance for a cool time. I think it’s okay to rent clothes and take photos yourself. This piece is very beautiful and exciting.

Shuangcheng Hotel has an excellent location, just beside the national highway, close to famous scenic spots such as Grape Valley and Flame Mountain, and has convenient transportation; as a state hotel in Turpan, its software, hardware and environment are first-class; especially the breakfast and service are very good . In short, to Turpan, this is a choice you will never regret. Here, I would like to give a special thumbs up to the general manager of the hotel, Mr. Yang, the manager of the food and beverage department, Li, and the beautiful lady Xiao Ma at the front desk, for their professional, high-quality management and service that make guests feel at home!

The worst hotel experience during the National Day trip to Xinjiang. I checked in on September 29th. The weather was very good that day. It felt hot outdoors in the afternoon. When I checked in at 4 o'clock, the temperature in the room was relatively high. The air conditioner was turned on and it didn't cool down. I called the front desk and asked about arrangements. Someone came to fix it (actually they didn't come), but they didn't tell the hotel that the air conditioner was no longer available. When I passed by the hotel lobby at night, I heard that many people in the tour group were complaining about the heat, so the hotel said that the air conditioner had been suspended and would be turned on again immediately. Then the room temperature became more comfortable after the air conditioning was restored on the first day. Early the next morning, I found that the air conditioner was no longer available. At 7 a.m., the indoor temperature was 34 degrees (as shown in the picture). I asked the front desk to tell them that the air conditioner had stopped again. Considering that the room would be hotter during the day and frequent communication would be troublesome, I chose to check out early. Change the room to a hotel. The price of the hotel I changed to was half that of Kas. It had 24-hour air conditioning and the room was very clean and quiet. In summary, Cass is not cost-effective. Turpan has a large temperature difference between day and night in September and October. Please be careful when choosing a hotel that does not provide air conditioning. However, I would like to commend the hotel front desk for its good service attitude. I am very satisfied with the consultation answers and early check-out handling. I would also like to give special praise to Ctrip. Assisted with early check-out and recommended new hotels to me. The service was timely and the attitude was good. I recommend Ctrip!
