The warmest of greetings on arrival from Adele and as I was so blown away by the beautiful guest house, I was treated to an impromptu short tour of the premises, which was an absolute treat, the place is stunning... My room was a single, which had everything one person needed, including a good size TV, offering access to numerous online channels, I took advantage and watched The Cumbria Way on YouTube, before I set off on the route next day... The bathroom was separate, literally 5 yards from my bedroom and wow, full of the original features, a huge space, with beautiful roll top bath, overhead shower, original wooden floorboards and ceiling beams, huge towels, what a bonus... Adele recommended the Farmers pub, not 100 yards away, where I sat outside next to the firepit and watched the world go by, I also enjoyed fish, chips and mushy peas, with a local ale to wash it all down with, perfect... Next morning I was treated to a warm welcome into the breakfast room and a superb full English breakfast, before I headed off on the train to Carlisle, to start my 5 day trek... This guest house is an absolute gem and right in the heart of Ulverston, but away from any noise... I'll be back!! Thank you...
