Hotels Near Molino de Yucay in Urubamba

We had an amazing dining experience at the full service restaurant. Yolanda the restaurant manager is a well-mannered, pro active and efficient person.She met and exceeded our expectations in terms of recommendations with our vegetation needs and provided us with classy service. She manages the restaurant staff with her excellent management skills and keeps the guests extremely happy with her human relations skills. We wish her all the best in her career and the hotel management should be proud to have such a great asset in their team.

Loved my short stay here. The glorious setting with hills and mountains close by is a sight to behold. The manicured gardens and stone walkways past water features and lovely plants and greenery on your way to your chalet style blocks is a joy. The room had two comfortable beds and lots of space plus veranda. The bathroom had a great rain shower with bath. Not keen on not being able to flush toilet paper but I have seen this in other remote hotels so not end of the world. The room was also lovely and warm when the cool evenings hit. The room had drinks and snacks to buy and a safe. Good lighting. I think they should include an iron and board though. The main hotel building has a cosy bar with good seating nearby or downstairs. Of course the gardens outside are great areas for a drink and enjoy snack. Such a great space. The Alpacas are fun too. The restaurant is a good size and has an excellent menu with great meat dishes. Loved the grilled chicken and side of cooked veg and the tiramisu. Great little Gym and spa facilities. Superb staff and great location for the sacred valley attractions.

I received a room that was dirty and smelled musty. The hotel said that there were no other rooms available and that they had a special machine they could put in my room to remove the smell, but I would have to leave the room for a few hours. No one could explain to me what this machine actually did! After speaking to 4 different people, I was finally told that a suite was available, but I would have to pay approximately $500 per night extra to move. None of the staff their speaks English well so it was very difficult to explain that I should not have to pay extra. No one seemed to feel bad about giving us a smelly room and just said that it was very hot outside (as if that explained the situation). After a long days travel, we were exhausted and so I agreed and we moved into the suite. Then, that night, both my son and I got sick. We don't know if it was caused by the food in the hotel or something else. Regardless, I called the front desk at 11 pm and asked if they had any medicines. The man at the desk said that I could go into town to the pharmacy, but he did not know if it was open. I asked him if he could call the pharmacy to see if they were open. He did not speak English well and kept repeating that I should go to the pharmacy. He was entirely unhelpful! This hotel is beautiful and the suite was nice. But, the service is terrible. No one seems to know what is going on and not one person spoke English well. Breakfast was included in my rate, but the first day we were only offered a cold buffet. The second day were were given a menu to also order hot items. It turns out that they forgot to give us the menu or even tell us about the hot items the day before. No one apologized or made any effort to make up for the error. The staff just does not care if the guests have a good experience or not. This place is very expensive, and definitely not four or five star quality. Stay away!

Hotel Luz Garden was great! The staff treated us like family and were very nice! They came by each night to see what time we wanted breakfast and even let us stay in our room a little later so we didn't have to set around town waiting for or train. I will definitely stay here again.

The rooms are small but well appointed. They are very helpful but only speak Spanish. We stayed in a room we were quoted as 40 USD but I paid in Soles. The conversion was fair. There is a standard charge 5 percent to use your credit card. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful but June nights are cold by the river and there was no heater remaining when we asked. The bathroom was nice with a big shower and beautiful sink. Just had to step up to get from the room to the bath. Pics are from AFTER we used the room. It was clean and made up when we arrived. Meant for one but big enough for 2 people. I didnt find it noisy and the upstairs patio was a great place to rest after checkout before the train. Wifi was solid and the staff had great advice! Great It location. It was midway to the hot spring and the train. In the morning away from the lines but direct path and very ose to the bus to Machu Picchu.

Good location, Flora is the reason this review is so high as some staff was rude The hotel is conveniently located near the train station though this also means you can’t open the windows as it would be loud and you can smell fuel. It’s fine with the windows closed. Flora was really nice and provided excellent service, was helpful, answered questions and was the best. We didn’t catch the name of the gentleman at the desk when we first checked in but he was quite rude. While we patiently waited in line, he kept motioning people who showed up after us to check in ahead of us. When we asked about us waiting in line before them, he said he would get to us eventually. We also heard him give to others the standard speech about checkout times, breakfast etc but when he finally decided to check us in, he didn’t tell us anything. When we asked if he could confirm the times for breakfast etc, he seemed annoyed that we were asking.

The river view was the most spectacular I’ve seen. Perfect location to explore machu pichu. Staff met us at rail station. Elmer couldn’t have been more helpful and polite . The beds were comfortable, we were provided with complimentary water. Tea , coffee and water were available 24hours
