Unforgettable stay, nice place, pleasant environment, gorgeous view outside, similar as described. I am satisfied. The rorbu is clean, well equipped, comfortable and decorated space. The breakfast is delicious and pre-pack because Restaurant Kjokkenet was close during my stay. The receptionist is very helpful and show me how to boil nice coffee. The rorbu is absolutely perfect and I could not recommend it more.

It’s good for a family with more than 2 people. Some wall outlet needs repair.

The hotel service is great! Breakfast is also very rich! Various styles! There is also a gluten-free meal area! Really considerate! Wish there were gluten free bread in the gluten free meal section! That would be perfect!

The location is good, just around the sea activities. The cabin faces the sea and has two floors. There is a kitchen downstairs. It is very clean. It is very clean. Breakfast is very rich.

We loved the quaint room and the authentic feel of the Anker Brugge. We were there for 3 nights and the first one was not acceptable. Do not stay above the pub on a Saturday night. The loud DJ electronic music started at 10 and went until 3am. We could not sleep. When we checked in the “warned us” and gave us earplugs. I don’t think it is fair to rent room 212 above the pub when a DJ will be there. While the staff was apologetic they basically said, we warned you. The night with the DJ impacted our next day and activities as we were very tired.

Our recent stay at Anker Brygge in Svolvær, Lofoten, from July 25 to July 31, 2024, turned into an absolute nightmare. We endured extreme noise disturbances that made it impossible to relax or sleep. On the 25th and 26th of July, a music festival called Høllafæs blasting music until 4 AM. The noise levels were intolerable and far exceeded healthy limits. This was just the beginning of our ordeal. On July 27, the hotel's own restaurant, located directly beneath our room, played extremely loud music until 2:30 AM, surpassing even the noise levels of the festival. The continuous disturbance made it impossible to find any rest. What makes this even more unacceptable is that Anker Brygge markets itself as a five-star hotel. We were not informed about these disruptive events before our booking was confirmed. Had we known, we would never have booked this hotel. Despite raising our concerns with the hotel management, our complaints were completely disregarded. We received no answer and no apology. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay in Lofoten, it is strongly advised to avoid Anker Brygge. Our experience was a nightmare, and the lack of response from the management was truly disappointing.

What a beautiful rorbu, perfectly situated and cozy. Very warm athmosphere. Two good sized bedrooms with bathrooms/toilets. Good enough breakfast (included), but could also be better quality/quantity. Beautiful breakfast room with views. The kitchen in rorbu needs to be dated, was the weakest link. Good parking places. In Norway it’s difficult to get into restaurants with dogs. They said it is due to their law. We have two very small dogs and couldn’t eat any meals inside. During warm summer it’s not a problem, but when the temperature is +11 and windy, it was cold. If I retur to Lofoten, this is my choice to stay.

The cabin was clean and spacious and historically very interesting. Very small and basic shower. However check in/ reception closes at 4 pm. That is not acceptable. Dinner was good in the restaurant but breakfast was very poor in the reception building. No fruit juice, cold egg and bacon, dirty room, dirty table cloths to name a few issues. Parking was free, but frankly our experience elsewhere in Svolvaer was much better for the same price. The USP is the history, but personally that did not outweigh the negatives.

Prior to the pandemic we booked a waterfront Rorbu at Anker Brygge - our dream vacation to stay in a waterfront fishing cabin in Lofoten. Covid happened and plans got deferred. To their credit Anker Brygge extended our reservation twice (for 2 years) as we had paid for it in advance. We reconfirmed in writing on several occasions our arrival, and reconfirmed that what we had booked had not changed. However, upon arrival they confirmed our reservation, but announced they had decided to give our Rorbu to someone else, and then stuck us in one of the antiquated apartments above the bar. Just great in the land of the midnight sun when closing time for a bar is an uncertainty. What is particularly irksome is that we had reconfirmed the details of our reservation in writing, arrived first to the facility on day of checkin, spoke to the manager about the importance of Rorbu accommodation to our vacation plans - only to see guests arriving after us, and the next day, get assigned Rorbu and we were stuck in this crummy apartment. If they had been upfront with us to begin with, and told us they had no intention of "really" honouring our reservation, we could have made a booking at one of the hundreds of other really wonderful Rorbu on Lofoton. Crummy, vacation wrecking, experience.

I stayed 3 nights in a 2 level rorbuer-like unit with 2 bedrooms. I only stayed at the lower level apartment unit since I was solo. The unit was very clean, with a living room, kitchen, dining table and a separate bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The kitchen had utensils for cooking. The unit was very airy and bright with many windows and a door to the deck besides the front door. The unit was surrounded by wooden deck with picnic tables outside. The view was most fascinating. I had the view while I ate inside. I had the view sitting on the sofa. I was surrounded by beautiful views. Although the unit was not a real traditional rorbuer, it felt like a rorbuer. The unit was quiet although it was in between 2 other units. Wifi was strong for streaming movies. There were many outlets for charging. The location was very close to town which had restaurants, supermarket to get food for cooking, stores, pier to board fjord tours. The location could not be better. Breakfast was super with a lot of selections. All email inquiries before my arrival was very promptly replied. There was no message that was not answered. The service was excellent prior to arrival and during the stay.

Anker Brygge shares a courtyard/car park plus the surrounding historic fishermans’ village buildings with Scandic Svolvaer, and it would be interesting to compare the two hotels directly. My cabin turned out to be the second floor of a larger building, and in several respects did not correspond with the description of the one I had booked, though mostly the differences were minor: no sauna, no separate outdoor dining area, unless you count the tiny balcony hardly big enough for the two plastic chairs stacked there, no toaster, no additional bathroom (not that I needed it for a solo stay), no ‘socket near the bed’, though the bedroom was so cramped one might claim that the socket at the foot of the bed was still ‘near’ it. I was too tired on arrival to complain, but nobody apologised or offered a discount - thoroughly bad form for a booking made many months earlier. The interior was a bit dated in its look, though functional, and the old log walls were quaint. On arrival on a sunny afternoon the whole place was very warm due to the dormer windows, but it cooled off by the time I turned in. Breakfast was standard Scandinavian fare, with lots of choice but nothing extraordinarily tasty. The location is perfect, the views fabulous, and the staff friendly. They allowed me to keep the car parked outside of the cabin even after I checked out and went on the morning boat trip to Trollfjorden. Overall, quite adequate but not exactly what I booked, and it felt pricey as a result.

We loved this accommodation for its space, location, peace & quiet, excellent breakfast, really nice staff. By far our number 1 favourite accommodation on our 14-day trip throughout Norway. We would love to return some day.

Svolvaer is a small town in a most beautiful setting. But they have managed to build something ugly and without character. The Anker Brygge hotel is an oasis and most probably the best place to stay. Breakfast is fairly good and the service is friendly. The noise from the pub on a Saturday night was fairly loud and we had a cabin facing it. But this hotel worked very well for us as a family and we were able to make our own evening meals.

Great place or rorbu, within walking distance to Svolvaer shops. Good breakfast. Free parking. Great view if you are lucky with the unit you get. Lots of benches outside if you fancy having lunch or dinner outdoor. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend if you are stopping by Svolvaer. Its a 3 hour drive from Narvik airport. The curtains had no black out so difficult to sleep if you are not used to midnight sun. For the EV drivers, the reception told me that they will be having a Tesla station soon but would be nice if they have plugs for other EVs as well.
