I stayed here for two nights recently for my trip to Vancouver. This was a last-minute booking and my first time here. I chose this hotel over the other I had previously stayed in just for the location. The location is a roughly 5-10min walk to Granville street Skytrain. The location also offers a lot of restaurants nearby and 7-11 and McDonald's which are 24hr if you are hungry in the middle of the night. When I arrived it was just at 11 am and they had my room ready and let me check in early which was nice. The room itself was really small but okay just for one person. The only things I didn't like were the pillows heart my neck being so big and the small shower with a rain head, very inconvenient when you don't want to get your hair wet.....right ladies!!! For sleep quality it was okay, my room faced the Staples right on Seymour it was quite a noisy street to be on so just beware. To note I had only booked for the night but ended up having to stay another the hotel offered me a better rate than what I had originally booked on Expedia for roughly $10 or something less and then also offered me a late check-out.

The moment I walked into the lobby and was greeted by the staff, I knew it was going to be an incredible trip. To start, the location is amazing. Walking distance to so many restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. What made the trip extra special was the head concierge, Alexsander. It was my first time in Canada and he told me so much about the history of some buildings and recommended all the places to go. He even took the extra step to walk my friend and me to Palate Kitchen around the corner to make sure we didn’t get lost and introduced us to the hostess. It was such an incredible level of customer service that I haven’t ever experienced , even when staying at other 5 star hotels. All the recommendations of sites to see made our trip absolutely perfect . The overnight front desk agent even offered me water and offered to call a cab when my Uber cancelled for my 5am flight. The other employee working that shift even carried my luggages to the car in the rain and waited with me outside until they were there. The room was spotless and so beautiful. Housekeeping did an amazing job. We were also given a handwritten card with Rosé upon arrival as well as breakfast vouchers and early check in. Thank you so much to the staff for making my vacation so magical. I can’t wait to refer my friends vacationing to stay at this hotel. What a special experience! Also, the breakfast and restaurant staff was phenomenal !

First of all, very clean! We loved our stay at this hotel. It is a very well-serviced hotel with nice and trained staff. The room was very comfortable, and the access to the club was so super convenient. The view of the city is just stunning. Will definitely stay here again when I come to Vancouver again. The Hyatt was amazing with great service from the moment we walked in the door. We were able to leave our luggage while we waited for our room so we could explore the city. They were wonderful and cleaning our dirty towels and changing beds each day, the outdoor pool and hot tub were a welcome site after long days of walking. The only downside was the lack of restaurant access. 1 restaurant is barely open and the other is so high priced and doesn't deliver to your room. Thankfully Skip the Dishes was an option. Starbucks right in the lobby, can't go wrong with that!!

Paradox Hotel is one of the best hotels we have stayed at in a long time. We typically stay at Four Seasons, Fairmont’s, and other hotels similar to these types of hotels. Paradox had first class service starting at the valet (Marty), along with all individuals at the front counter. To top off our stay, we had Andrew from concierges that took great care of us, as he went above and beyond for my wife’s 40th birthday celebration. -I will be writing a person letter to Andrew, for all the amazing things he did to make our stay so memorable. It’s hard to put into words the results of our trip, as all of it was amazing, from the lounge (Megan/Morgan/Vanessa were all fantastic and were extremely friendly. To the Mansion nightclub, where everyone was fantastic and provided amazing service, as we decided to get table service for the birthday celebration. If anyone is contemplating staying at the Paradox, do not think twice about booking, you will not regret it. Also, amazing walking distance to so many amazing shops and restaurants. All-in-all, we will be back to see all the amazing people we met and we look forward to our next trip to the Paradox Hotel.

My husband and I stayed one night at the Burnaby location in order to attend a dinner function nearby. We checked into our room and the heater was already on and set at 68 and seemed to be working OK. Shortly after we arrived in the room, a maintenance person knocked on the door to see how the heater was working. That should have clued us in as to what would happen next. A bit later, the unit started to spit out cooler air. I might add that the unit never cycled off and on as it should. I turned the unit up to around 72 to see if that would make a difference but no it did not. We contacted the front desk and within 5 minutes, maintenance came to check. We were told that the heater had to remain at 68, no higher or it wouldn’t work. I have never heard of such a thing. High temperature in Vancouver was mid 40's dipping into the 30's at night. By this time, it was 5:30 and we had to head out the door for the dinner event at 6PM. I wish we would have demanded a different room, because when we returned it was definitely cooler in the room. We were both tired and needed to leave the hotel early in the morning so we decided to “gut it out”. I looked for additional blankets and there were none. I wound up sleeping a total of 2 hours in my coat. This was not a comfortable experience.  I am generously giving this property 2 stars as the room itself was clean and the bedding was comfortable. The front desk clerk kindly gave us a 50% discount for our discomfort which was the best she could do, but when I contacted their HQ was offered a 50% discount off a future stay. Don't think I will take them up on that offer, but thanks anyway.

Room was simple and clean. The unlevel floor going into bathroom could maybe be better marked but we adapted. A portable AC unit was in our room at check in which was good since it was needed. The physical room key took some getting used to (ie not locking automatically). The cable box was precariously set on top of the wall mounted tv and it took some time to get everything hooked up correctly. We had a few minor inconveniences (we stayed multiple days and would have appreciated a place to hang two wet bath towels) but nothing egregious. The lobby snack bar is a diabetic’s nightmare but each morning there were bananas as well.

You could tell immediately how the hotel has been fairly new! Our family stayed for 2 nights and it was quite comfy. Not sure if there was anything we disliked. Just a couple of points: Restaurant option: Match Eatery & Public house And The Buffet We had a high expectation of the Buffet. Ah… so shame… Not worth paying so much. Trust me. Avoid the place. Internet: Connection is very strong; however, keep in mind that it is UNSECURED public connection. There was someone trying to access my personal email. Very fortunately, I had my email account secured with two way authentication. Do consider… to protect yourself by setting up the 2 way authentication… etc. Lastly, Swimming pool wasn’t ready to be opened until April.

GGuest UserThe St. Regis is one of my favorite hotels. It is centrally located so that walking to venues, shopping and restaurants is easy and convenient. Our suite was clean, tidy, comfortable, and elegant. Even though our room looked out on Dunsmuir Street there was very little street noise. The hotel is quaint, elegant, yet comfortable and not fussy. The lobby is small, yet efficient. A small library is located between the business center and the lobby. The library chairs are comfortable, the room is light and bright thanks to the tall street-facing windows. Our room service experience was top notch - the food was hot and delicious. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and hearty - servers were all pleasant and friendly. One of the most wonderful aspects of the St. Regis Hotel is the people who work there - Juan, Eduardo, Matt, Miguel, the housekeeping staff, breakfast waitstaff - all were friendly, courteous, accommodating, and approachable. I don't know when we will visit Vancouver again, but when that happens, I will stay at the St. Regis.

GGuest UserGranville Island is a great place for its public market, artisan shops and the lovely and convenient water taxis to help get around downtown Vancouver. The Hotel is perfectly located on the north end waterfront. The room was clean and comfortable although before checkout we saw that the bed skirt had something spilled on it by a prior guest. Also, the bed was uneven, with one side providing good support and the other was soft and led to a bad night’s sleep. Service at the hotel was good but the server at the restaurant was either inexperienced or a little inept. Another disappointment was that they had a bike rental stand that never had bikes to rent despite promoting it as an option. All in all, a good stay, but not a great stay. Glad I saved money on trip.com but I’ll look for a different hotel next time.

RRazoGreat location! The room was basic but very comfortable. It was clean and complete with the basic in room amenities. I would say the price is on the high side, but at that point you are paying for the location. Front desk staff were great and extremely helpful. There is a whitespot restaurant attached to the building which was great, very clean and friendly staff. I would book this hotel again on my next Vancouver visit. It would be great if they could reduce the nightly rate slightly.

GGuest UserI chose to stay here because of the airport shuttle and the accessibility to public transportation. Given the price I had to pay, I’d have given a better a rating IF: (1) airport shuttle is more punctual (2) the TV in the room works better (clearer, guests ‘can’ use it simply by following menu, has choices of movie/ netflix connection) (3) the sink in the toilet has more efficient water draining (4) the air conditioner has digital control and is quieter (5) The lift works smarter.. What I like: (1) The complimentary coffee machine in common area (2) The staff are nice

GGuest UserTo set the context I am a seasoned hotel/motel traveler, having over 900 nights stays in the last 10 years alone. This is the 1st time I will be writing a terrible review for a business. I was excited to find this place as I was travelling with my 2 dogs and liked the cottage style accommodations and green space. I was personally excited by the history of this establishment and all of the TV shows and Movies filmed there over the years. I pulled into the parking lot to check in at 2pm and was informed by the front desk person that check in was at 4pm and there was NO way my room would be ready until 4pm. I did note that I thought 4pm was a bit of a late check in time, and the clerk told that ”it is common place for most hotels and motels to have a check in at 4pm”, I quickly noted that in over 900 hotel stays this was the first place that had that late a check in. I asked him if there was nay chance that the room might be ready before 4pm, noting that i had 2 dogs that were tired from there travels in the car, the response was quick and emphatic NO! Telling me again that check in is at 4pm, like I had not heard that the first time. I stayed very calm and said well if the room is ready before the 4pm check in time here is my cell # and if you could kindly give me a call. I then set off for some lunch and a long walk with the dogs (both senior dogs 16 &14). I returned at 3:45pm and found a new person at the front check and asked if my room was ready? The answer ”sorry it has not been cleaned yet”, ”okay can you tell me the room number so I can at least park and prepare to unload?” he did tell me the number and i found the room. As check in was now only 15 minuets away we could wait out those 15 mins. At 3;50pm i watched a very under motivated cleaning person arrive and slowly proceed to clean the room. I had a 5:30pm appointment in Port Moody with my daughter and her husband and their dog so i was i a bit of a hurry. I went back the the hotel lobby at 4:10 pm and said BTW it's now 4:10 can i have my keys?
