I book 4 and 5 Star hotels, cruises, land tours and more, but found when I go on a cruise to Alaska and starting my cruise in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada l like hanging out downtown Vancouver. Vancouver is beautiful, lots to do, and Cambie Hostel Gastown is close to the cruise port (walking distance, with 1 rolling luggage, about 5 blocks), safe, with great bars and restaurants. If you take Greyhound, the bus station is a block from the rail (2 bucks for seniors, I am 65), go north towards Cambie Hostel Gastown, at stop walk about 5-6 blocks (or take taxi). Once you are there, make sure your credit card was cleared with bank (call ahead and let them know you are traveling abroad, if required), pay, get keys, drop bags in room, then go out and enjoy all that Vancouver has to offer. Cambie Hostel is attached to a bar, party on, with young travelers from all around the world, so enjoy interacting with them during your stay. I am going back in 3 wks for another Alaska cruise. Hotel location is super perfect which nearby the centre point of Vancouver, many restaurants surround hotel especially Korean food, and we stay in penthouse floor which can look at the north side of Vancouver and hills. By the way no special facilities and service here and some of furnitures in room are getting old and not plenty clean although they charge me cleaning fee before check-in

It's very convenient to book this hotel in Vancouver. It's next to the University Center. Next to this hotel is Leap Canada attractions. It's really good to stay in this hotel for the second time

This hotel is very well located — 3 minutes walk to the metro station that takes you straight to the airport, cross street from bus stops, walking distance to the water front Canada Place, and half a block to Starbucks, a nice grocery store with lots of food choices, and many restaurants. The front desk girl is very nice, and gave me an early check in when I arrived in the morning, which was super helpful. The room is small, but sufficient. This is the best deal in town. The only area for improvement is that I wish the faucet in the room is not the type that you need one hand to hold to keep it open, which makes it very difficult to even wash hands and face and brush teeth in the room, and there is only one bathroom and shower on each floor with quite a few guests.

We stayed in this property for just one night before our Alaska cruise. The location is it's USP and we actually walked down to Canada Place to board our cruise. The rooms are spacious and bright and there is complimentary coffee available in the reception. Eateries are all around and the Pacific Mall is within walking distance. We had a very comfortable stay!

A family of three, set a suite. The hotel is located on Gay Street and the bar is downstairs. If you are afraid of noise, you can have a high-rise floor. This price is good in this position! Parking must first have a card at the hotel, turn right at the entrance of the door, then turn right to see the white sign in, you can enter and exit 24 hours a day without limit. We started to go to Jasper by car at 5:30 the next morning, so we chose the parking at the back of the hotel. We parked the car and chose the package that was closed at 6 am the next day. We came to The Burrard for a hospital procedure. The staff were so welcoming and thoughtful. Beautiful and clean rooms with an adorable courtyard. On my way back to the room, the staff also brought us water and made sure we were comfortable! You just don’t get service like this anymore!

This time at Ctrip.com, this hotel first encountered the problem of Ctrip's promotion of Chinese services and found that there was no Chinese service at all.
