We checked in here briefly about Air BnB during our Italian holiday. The accommodation is very central, in a quiet location very close to the train station. The newly renovated Venetian style is unrecognised and still technically updated by air conditioning, refrigerator and Wi-Fi. The guests are very nice and there are both local restaurants and a supermarket in the area. We have enjoyed it very well. Only suggestions for improvement: at breakfast breads would have been beautiful and the refrigerator was too hot set. But these are little things. When we stay next night in the beautiful laguna city we will certainly come back

We have just returned from a 2-night stay at this lovely hotel. It is well positioned for all the sights and there is a public water taxi stop next to the front of the hotel. The staff make all the difference. Valentino and another young man, whose name I didn’t get, were on reception for the 2 nights we were there. They didn’t stay behind the desk but came out and circulated and were engaging with all the customers, genuinely interested in what everyone had been doing. As front of house, they were outstanding. We had a side canal view. We paid a premium and being only 5’2” if I leant out, with my husband holding my ankles, I could see the Grand Canal. Not sure I would go for this option again. The room itself was small but very comfortable. We both slept very well. The only ****** was breakfast. I would like this to be self-service. On entering the breakfast room, we were advised that we had to have table service we were automatically given some bread rolls and croissants on the table. I like to have a look and then choose my own size portions, normally small. I observed that several people seemed to want to do self-service, but this wasn’t an option. A lot of rolls and croissants weren’t used as not everyone wanted them and I assume went to the bin. Also I just like to be left to do my own thing at breakfast. Table service for tea and coffee would be good. Unfortunately, this is something that would put me off using the hotel again. The only other small issue for me is the individual shampoo etc in the bathroom. I much prefer refillable dispensers which create far less plastic waste.

We arrived at the hotel early morning around 930am and the staff were so helpful informing us we had been upgraded to superior room free of charge and it was possible for early check in. Room was really lovely well presented quiet and comfortable. Good air conditioning. Quite a dark room as lack of lighting but all lovely. Bathroom toiletries nice and cleaned daily. Hairdryer in bathroom decent not like the normal low power ones you normally find. No tea and coffee making facilities but there was a fridge. Breakfast was delicious lovely selection of pastries, egg and bacon, cheeses, cereal and fruit and really good service. Nice English breakfast tea available too. Cappuccino was amazing. All staff were so friendly and helpful, think they Italians are just naturally lovely friendly happy people. Wish all British were the same! Anything we needed they offered advice and help. Our flight was cancelled and the hotel kindly offered us discounted room rate and we could remain in the same room. Breakfast was delivered to our room at 6am on request as early flight, nothing was too much! Excellent location easy 6 min walk to San Stae water bus stop line one which travels all over Venice! ATM 2 mins from hotel and little shop only 5 mins away. Venice was a delight and if returning would be rebooking this amazing hotel. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality whilst in Venice. Get booking you will not be disappointed!

an excellent hotel with excellent service. We had 5 rooms reserved at the hotel. We left the hotel to go to Ravenna via the trains. We left our Apple air pods in of one the rooms. The gentleman from the front desk (morning shift - sorry I don’t remember his name) on his own walked over the train station, tracked us down and surprised us to give us the air pods. I travel a lot and have never seen such exceptional service. Literally, because of his level of exceptional service from when we checked in to now, we decided to change our hotels (when we return from the cruise) to stay again at The Carlton because of his above and beyond attitude. Thank you for your hospitality and outstanding experience from the point of when we first checked in.

Come out of the train station and follow the navigation. It's easy to find hahaha, but it's actually opposite the station and walks into the alley. The handsome guys at the front desk are very nice. Check-in time is two o'clock in the afternoon. We arrived around ten o'clock in the morning. Fortunately, we were able to check in after half an hour. There is a street opposite the station, there are many people at night, and there is a supermarket which is very convenient. It happened to meet Venice once in a hundred years. The water level is good, the hotel is located high, and the first floor is fine. Although there are not many types of breakfast, the croissant likes it! The hotel does not have hot water, you can go to the front desk to get it, the city tax for 2 people and 2 nights is 12 euros!

Fabulous location, not too close to the crazyness of St Marks square during Carnival, but close to the railway station, water bus and bridge over the Grand Canal. staff extremely helpful, nothing too much trouble. lovely room, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room but there is a safe and a mini bar. Breakfast was very nice self service, good selection. will definitely be going again next year at the same time.
